I rubbed my eyes, trying to get up from the soft bed but failing miserably due to two firm arms holding me down and forcing me into a chest. I awkwardly turned around, being greeted by messy red hair with orange tips and a large smile on the face of my bandmate, Seth. His dark red eyes slowly opened and his smile grew when he looked at me, letting go of me to ruffle my hair before getting up and putting on a shirt.
"Hey, do you want to go out today? If you're not doing anything else, that is." he asked, combing through his hair with his fingers.
"Sure, I'd love to." he opened his bedroom door, going down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Hmmm, should we eat out?" I nodded happily before looking down and noticing I've been wearing the same set of clothes for over 24 hours, including while I was sleeping.
"Maybe we should go back to mine first... I need some new clothes." he nodded and we went out to the car, him immediately going to the driver's seat before I playfully slapped his hand away from the door. "Hell no, it's my car so I'm driving." he rolled his eyes in response.
"Actually, I'm going to go get something. I'll pick you up at your house in half an hour, deal?" I nodded and he kissed me goodbye before I left, the ride to my house not taking long.
Approximately 30 minutes later~
I heard the doorbell ring and opened the door, being greeted with the face of my new boyfriend.
"Hey, (y/n). You ready to go?"
"Yeah, I can't wait."
"Ummmm, you're not wearing that necklace, are you?" I looked down to see the necklace that Karma gave me, the one that matches my eyes.
"What's wrong with it? Karma gave it to me as a present years ago... I never really take it off..."
"Sorry, that's not what I meant. What I meant to say was that I bought you this, it matches your eyes..." he handed me a box and the second I opened it my eyes went wide at the sparkling necklace in front if me, it had a silver chain with a small (e/c) heart.
"...It's beautiful... Thank you so much, you really didn't have to." I quickly took off the necklace Karma gave me, immediately feeling odd without it on but replacing it with the new one. "I'll put this away..." I sadly picked up the necklace, beginning to walk off to my room.
"I'll hold onto it for you, if you have that old thing lying around then you'll just be reminded of him. You're getting over him, remember? I promise I'll take care of it." I nodded sadly, handing him the necklace and he put it in his wallet. "See, it's safe and I promise I'll put it somewhere even safer the second I get home." I smiled and nodded, the two of us going out for breakfast soon after.

A month later~
I patted down my white dress that faded to a light (f/c) at the bottom, the necklace that Seth gave me around my neck. The doorbell rang and I opened the door to be greeted by Seth.
"Hey, ready to go? I'm sorry if it's really awkward..." I nervously rubbed the back of my neck.
"Are you sure this is okay for you? You're trying to get over him, I'm scared that going to his wedding will hurt you..."
"No, it'll be good closure for me."
"Yeah, besides, think of what he'll look like when he sees the best girl in the world with my arm around her shoulder and wearing the gifts that I bought her." I was flattered by his statement, but honestly he's starting to slightly scare me with how possessive and controlling he can be. As if he sensed my worry, he smiled happily and reached into his pocket. "Speaking of gifts, I got you this." he handed me a beautiful black bracelet, diamonds decorating the edges with a large ruby in the middle.
"Oh my God... Seth, you spoil me too much. Honestly, you're going to run out of money if it continues like this..." I was almost breathless at the beautiful gift.
"Only the best for my girl. Come on, let's go." he gently grabbed my hand, pulling my over to his car and opening the door for me. "M'lady~" he bowed politely, gesturing for me to go in the passenger seat.
"Cheers mate."
"...and just like that, the moment's been ruined."

At the wedding~
I watched sadly as the girl gracefully walked down the aisle, her brown hair flowing behind her and a gorgeous smile on her face. Her eyes are a light shade of brown and her complexion is slightly tanned. Her name was Amanda, apparently he was on a work trip to America a few years ago when they met. She was beautiful in every way, better than me in every way. I want to hate her, but I can't. She's just like Isogai in a sense, she's so brilliant at everything that you want to hate her, but she's just such a nice person that it's practically impossible. I feel Seth grab my hand and squeeze it reassuringly, making me smile. It will all be okay, everything will be fine because I have Seth. I can get over Karma, I will get over Karma. The past is the past and the present is the present... But the present's breaking my heart.
"Do you, Karma, take Amanda to be your partner for life. Do you promise to walk by her side forever, and to love, help, and encourage her in all she does? Do you promise to take time to talk with her, to listen to her, and to care for her? Will you share her laughter, and her tears, as her partner, lover, and best friend? Do you take her as your lawfully wedded wife for now and forevermore?" I braced for his words, knowing this would be the most painful part of the evening for me, the thing that would truly break me.
"...I don't." My head immediately shot up in surprise and he smiled at me. "I don't truly love her, I'm sorry." he turned towards me, "It was always you." he began walking towards my pew and I loosened my grip on Seth's hand, my eyes wide. "Do you, (y/n), take me to be you lawfully wedded husband?" I couldn't believe my ears, my eyes were wide and my mouth was probably catching flies.
"I do." A light feminine voice cut me out of my thoughts and I looked forward, seeing Amanda and Karma smiling happily at each other... It was all in my imagination?
"Karma and Amanda, by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride!" The two smiled and kissed passionately, cheering erupting in the church from their family members. Everyone around me was happy as could be, but I can't breathe. This was such a bad idea, closure my ass, I just came here in hopes that it was all fake. I can't believe it, but I know I did this to myself. I'm self-destructive and selfish, I deserve everything I'm getting, so I'll take each and every hit with a smile on my face. I let a smile erupt on my face as I bring my hands up to applause the newly wedded couple, the one man that could fix me also turns out to be the one man that can truly break me. I leaned on Seth, grateful that I have one shining light: one person that I know truly loves me.
