'Uhhhh.......' Moon stared blankly  at her friends. "busted!" Miko laughed. 'DON'T TELL RATCHET ABOUT THIS!!!!! He'll keep me from flying for another month if you tell!' Moonshadow whined. 'Please!!'

"Fine. We'll let it slip......... This ONE  time." Arcee said, glaring at anybody who might tell on Moonshadow. 'Thanks Arcee.'  Arcee smiled and nodded. Everyone went inside silent, not exactly  sure what kind of conversation. Moonshadow transformed into her holo form, and followed the kids to the couch. She checked her phone. There were so many voicemails from her human family. They were worried about her. Moon wished she could show her real self to them, but she knew it would be disastrous. Suddenly, Moonshadow's phone rang again. Her parents.Reluctantly, she answered. 

Moon: =Hello?=

 Parents: =Maddie?=

Moon: =yeah, it's me=

Moon could hear her mother sobbing .

Mom: =we are worried sick!! Where are you?=

Moon: = I...... I got hurt really bad one one of my bike rides. I accidentally strayed too far, and someone found me unconscious on the side of the road. They live very far away, but not too far that I can't ride my bike back.= 

Mom: = Oh Honey!!! Are you okay? =

Moon: =I'm fine. They are taking good care of me.=

Dad: = where do they live? We  would love to meet your new friends- and thank them for saving our precious daughter!=

Moon: = they do not wish to be  thanked. They  say they aren't important. They were glad to  take care of me. I'll be home by  next Thursday.=

Parents: =Okay Maddie. We'll see you soon. =

"I wish I didn't have to lie to them." Moon sighed. At least with the scars on her human body as well,  her bike story was believable. "NEXT THURSDAY!? " Ratchet screeched, "you still aren't ready yet!!"

Moon rolled her eyes. "Ratchet, I'm becoming stronger everyday. I'm almost  ready to fly. Admit it. " 

"Admit what?"

"You just don't want me to  leave base. You'd miss me too much." Moon smirked. Ratchet mumbled something inaudible and returned to his work.
