Chap 35
I'm so sorry for the wait! The dumb chapter didn't publish when i clicked to publish button and I didn't realize until now :|
Maddie walked in the redwood forest, enjoying all the sights and smells. She began to remember a little bit more as the walked, like how old she was, and the name of her 3 best friends, Miko, Raf, And Jack. Somehow, one thought came to her mind: -at least the pack is safe from danger.- She didn't know where it came from, or who this 'pack' was, but she was glad they were safe.
Soon Maddie came to a path, and there was a sign that read:
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Trail: 1 MI |
| Parking lot: 1/4 MI ----> |
| |
-----------------------------------------------------------------
She followed the path to the parking lot. It was busier than Maddie expected. People and cars everywhere. Maddie decided to head back into the woods. She wandered around in her wolf form, looking for a clearing. She eventually made it to a small clearing, when the sun began to set. She found a hollowed tree, to sleep it, and gathered leaves to make a bed. By now the moon was out and owls hooted in the tree tops. Maddie fell asleep in the tree, hoping to remember more by morning, especially how to fly.
Morning came, but the know how to fly did not. Maddie watched birds flying, and tried to mimic the way they moved their wings. Just like a bird, Maddie opened her wings, jumped, and flapped them as fast as she could. She remained airborne for no longer than 3 seconds. Next she tried climbing up on a tree limb and jumping off of it . that only gave her a dirt breakfast and a bruised muzzle. She tried multiple ways to get her off the ground and only one worked. She began running and flapping her wings, then once she ran fast enough, jumped into the air, beating her wings as hard as she could, flying higher until she couldn't be seen from the ground at all. Something told her to go south, where she would find someone she knew, then fly east, to home, where her other friends were waiting for her. Maddie didn't know why, but she felt a fierce loyalty to these 'friends' who she didn't even remember. She just knew she had to find them, and hoped she somehow would get her memory back.
