SYNOPSIS!

▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

IN 1983, IN THE SMALL hamlet of Lily Dale, New York, Iris Reeves was born. She had been a prayer answered to her parents. After years of miscarrages, the couple had almost given up hope. It was simple a miracle that Iris was born.

However, she was not born into an entirely normal family. Growing up, the spell casting and hex bags were normal, but to other folk, it was anything but. Iris was born into family of witches -- ones who called Lily Dale their home long before the "psychics" and "mediums" did. It was almost too perfect when they did, as now the Reeves family practices didn't seem so out of the ordinary. The calls for witch hunts came to an end.

Iris spent her entire life in Lily Dale, never wanting anything else but the life given to her. She loved magic and witchcraft. It made her who she was. That was, until, it turned against her and her family. Witch-kind didn't exactly have the reputation for being nice in the supernatural community, and those who wished to do harm found the Reeves family.

Being the only daughter, and soul heir of the families magic, it was common sense for the Warlock to kill her. Iris didn't see it coming, but she felt it. Wind rushed at her face and lasherations appeared on her arms and abdomen. She bled out on the floor of her family's apothecary as the Warlock sucked her dry of magic.

She died, cold and alone.

It was a strange sensation when she woke up in her childhood bedroom with her parents and grandparents doting on her. But not as they once were, when she was a child, but just as they had been the day she died. She had be brought back to life. Her family swore it was an act of God.

But as Iris began to see glimpses of the dead, she knew the truth. Necromancy had been used. She should not be alive, it was not natural. But she allowed her parents to be blissfully unaware that she knew what they had done. Iris recovered day by day, but as she did so, the true extent of the Warlock's damage became apparent. She no longer had her magic -- she could not access the supernatural.

WHEN SAM WINCHESTER AND his brother arrive in Lily Dale to work a case, Iris is a shell, tormented by the dead and unable to use her power to stop it. She comes to the brothers in desperate need of help. But are they able to give it to her?

NOTE: Ahahahaha hi everyone!! So this fic has been in the works since I started 'Gemini Moon'. I wanted to write a Sam fic since I started Supernatural but Dean stole my heart. BUT that doesn't mean I don't love Sam! So here it is!!

I love the Witch system in the show and really wanted to expand on that here. I'm super excited cause the family drama is HOT.

Also, I'm not quite sure if this fic and 'Gemini Moon' will be taking place in the same universe, but it might possibly once 'Gemini Moon' hits season 7!!
