Part 9: Chosen?

/Gray's p.o.v./

Lyon walked ahead and started to wander by himself.

"Gray look what Juvia found." Juvia said, and I walked over to her. She was standing in front of a small house. I walked in, and I was slightly surprised. There was a bed, with a clean blanket and various other house supplies.

"It looks like someone's living here." I stated in confusion.

"But who? If this place is as hidden as the legend makes it out to be than how would anyone live here?"

"I don't know..." I answered questioningly.

/Lyon's p.o.v./

I was wondering around the old town, amazed by the sights I saw. Gray was nearby me, and Juvia glued to his side. I walked further not wanting to watch her fawn over him. I was just walking along when I almost stepped on something. I leaned down, picked it up, and looked at it strangely. "A necklace?" It was a silver necklace. But I don't understand it isn't damaged. It looks brand new. I looked at the charm, and it was the same symbol that had been around the town. Suddenly I heard a commotion a little distance away from me.

"Water slicer!" The voice was distant. I heard crumbling and something heavy fall apart. A dust cloud spread across the sky in the same direction.

"(Y/n)." I said as I recognized the voice. I ran toward the area. Gray and Juvia soon joined me.

"What was with all that noise?" Gray asked me.

"I don't know, but I think (y/n)'s in trouble." I replied as we ran.

Sure enough when we got there a man was holding (y/n) in place.

"This should be fun." The man snarled to her.

She saw us running towards them ready to attack. "No stop!" She shouted.

We all froze in out tracks, and the men stared at us.

"Ah even better." A man who seemed to be the leader chuckled. "Now we have two hostages. Nazar if you would please."

"Awe I was looking forward to having some fun." The man holding (y/n) shoved her over to the master.

"In good time." The master caught her with ease and held her hands behind her. "Now I think we can all understand the situation. Everyone behaves themselves and your guild mate, and the old man's son won't get hurt."

Damn him! I thought and glared at him angrily.

"Just in case, guys." His other men grabbed us and chained us up.

/your p.o.v./

"Ok Nazar have your fun." The master shoved me over to him.

"Awesome, it's been a while since I've been able to use my magic to its full potential." Nazar smiled at me menacingly. "That little boy was so boring to torture. He had pathetic excuses for bad memories. But you..." He lifted my chin, and looked into my hate filled eyes. "Wow your bad memories are glorious. You really have been through hell."

I widened my eyes slightly. How can he possibly see them?

"I guess I should explain. You see my magic can allow me to see someone's deepest darkest, and worst memories." Nazar explained.

I never knew such a magic could exist.

"But that's not all I can do." He laughed. "I can make them come back to." He put his hand on my head, and suddenly my memories came back to me. In vivid detail, it was almost like I was reliving them.

"No!" I shouted and fell back into the ground. Tears stained my cheeks, and I shook on the ground in fear. "Please stop..." He continued, and I saw more. "No! No! No! Stop it!" I screamed. "I don't want to see it again! I don't want to remember anymore!"

"Stop get your hands off her!" I heard Lyon shout angrily.

He continued with the spell despite my pleas. This time was more real. I could see everything, I could hear the screams, smell the blood, and feel the pain. "I said stop!" I yelled, and my magic froze the water around us. I didn't mean to do it, but I couldn't control my emotion, much less my magic. I curled up into a ball, feeling myself shake. "I-I don't want to go back... ever again..."

"She just used ice magic." One of the men said in awe.

"But she used water magic earlier." Another added.

"You know what this means..."

I looked back up and saw the master smile. "Take them all back to base camp we have a ritual to begin."

Nazar pulled me back up roughly. Some of them took Gray and Lyon while the others took me and Juvia. I hugged Juvia tightly, and cried. I usually didn't like physical contact, but in this situation I needed someone, and Juvia's warmth helped soothe the pain.

"Shh... It's ok. It wasn't real." Juvia tried her best to comfort me, as we walked to who knows where.

They took us to a strange building, and threw us into a room. They had unchained the others, so Juvia was able to hug, and comfort me properly. It was strange how fast I was able to feel better. I guess I just wasn't used to it, I never had people to help me through things before.

The master walked into the room.

"So you gonna tell us why you brought us here?" Gray asked him rudely.

"Well I assume you all know the legend of Esteven correct?" He replied.

"Yes we all know. A town with an unimaginable power. It was forced to go into hiding because some men tried to take it, and a local ice wizard and water mage ended up saving the day, but the ice wizard used iced shell to stop the corrupted power." Juvia gave a brief summary.

"Very good, that's how the fairytale goes exactly, but the legend is slightly different in the sense that there is more information. It never actually tells everything. Like how the water Mage and ice wizard were lovers, in fact they were due to be married, before the men came. When the men decided to try and steal the power by force, it did become corrupt, and the damage it could have cause could have ended the whole world itself. The locals scared for their fate turned to the strongest two wizards they had in town. The Wizards had ended up defeating the men, but it was too late to stop what they had caused. As the power became more unstable it became more clear what the ice wizard had to do. He cast the spell iced shell to seal the power leaving his lover alone. Though it is true that the city was thrown into hiding and the people either died or disappeared what was never told is that the water Mage survived, and lived a life normally in the outside world. Another thing no one knew was that she was carrying the child of the brave ice wizard, and now years latter their bloodline still continues." He explained.

"What has that got to do with this ritual you were talking about?" Lyon asked.

"When we came her to Esteven we had found the great power, and even though the ice that once concealed it is long gone, there is still a spell keeping it from outside use. Apparently the great love the ice wizard shared with the water Mage created some sort of seal that can only be broken by preforming a certain ritual. A sacrifice must be made, someone who shares the same blood as the two lovers."

"Oh really and how exactly do you know who this person is?" Gray asked.

"The prophesy says that when the time comes the bloodline will produce a child who uses both water, and ice magic." He replied.

"Wait that means..." I trailed off.

"That's right sweetheart you fit the description!" He exclaimed. "Congrats you are our lucky winner. Now if you'll excuse us, she has some prep work that has to be done." He dragged me out of the room.

Hey guys here's another one! Woo! Tell me what you thought. Vote and comment, bye!
