/Kaya's p.o.v./
Me and Nazar where out in town to gather supplies for my first mission. I was so happy when he offered to go with me! I started feeling strongly about Nazar that day he said he would protect me. Those words made my heart flutter. I was guessing that means it was what my father used to say was called having a crush. And I was sure I had a pretty big crush on him. But right now he had walked a little ways ahead, and I tried to keep up with him. When I spotted him a ran toward his direction. When I got there he was helping (y/n) off the ground. She got all flustered, and laughed nervously at something he said. A hint of what I'm guessing was jealously sparked in me. What did he say, that made her act that way. She doesn't like him right? Does he like her? I hope not... I love (y/n) she's so kind, and even though I haven't known her that long, I feel like she's my best friend. If she likes Nazar, then I don't know what to do... "Nazar!" I called and ran up to them. I then stopped and leaned over panting slightly. "Geez don't walk so fast."
"Oh where are you two off to?" (Y/n) Asked.
"Nazar is taking me on my very first job!" I exclaimed happily, although my thoughts were still eating at me.
"Well technically we're leaving tomorrow, we are just getting supplies now." Nazar added calmly.
"Oh so you're taking her, huh?" She smiled at him.
His cheeks tinted pink slightly, and he turned to hide them. "Well yeah, it's dangerous, I'm not just gonna let her go alone."
He blushed? Just because she smiled at him? He really does like her... I frowned slightly. "You guys know I'm standing right here right?" I sighed.
"(Y/n) I need to talk to you later ok?" Nazar said to her.
I felt my heart twinge at those words. Talk? Talk about what? He's probably gonna tell her. Why did I fall for him? Is this what a breaking heart feels like?
"Okay sure." She nodded.
"Alright enough with all the standing around!" I pouted pretending it didn't hurt. "Let's go!" I skipped off past her, and down the street.
He soon followed after me, and we went into a nearby shop.

/Nazar's p.o.v./
I sat waiting for (y/n) on top of the hill. I had to talk to someone about the feelings I had been starting to feel toward Kaya, and (y/n) was the only one I could think of. She was my first friend, and I honestly kind of see her as a sister figure now. Still I was kind of nervous. Talking about my feelings isn't exactly my strongpoint.
She eventually walked up and sat down next to me with a sigh. "So?" She asked. "What do you want to talk about?"
I sighed, and readied myself for the direction I knew the conversation would head in. "Kaya."
"Oh?" She perked up. "What about Kaya?" She asked with excitement.
I shifted uncomfortably. "Weather you think she likes me or not." I grumbled.
"Awe!" She exclaimed. "Does that mean you like her?"
"What do you think?" I asked coldly, but I knew she wouldn't take it too seriously.
"Yes I knew it!" She laughed victoriously.
"Yeah yeah whatever, so do you think she would like me back?" I asked.
"Well I don't know, if haven't really talked to her about it." She replied. "But I don't see why she wouldn't. I think you should just go for it."
"But what if it ends badly?" I asked her. "Then our entire relationship will be hurt."
"That's true." She frowned slightly. "I'm really not the person you should be asking about these kinds of things. I can't even manage my own love life, and..." She then stopped like she had said something she didn't mean to.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked teasingly.
"Nothing!" She exclaimed suddenly turning red, and getting flustered. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh no I know you better than that, what happened?" I asked smirking at her.
"Uh- I-I think I might have a crush on Lyon." She admitted looking down to hide her flushed expression.
"Ha, I told you so." I laughed.
"Shut up." She grumbled. "And don't tell anyone."
"Who would I have to tell?" I asked, and then stood up. "Anyway I should get some sleep for tomorrow."
"Alright." She stood up, and we walked down the hill together.

/Kaya's p.o.v./
I was walking the streets of magnolia trying to clear my head. It was getting colder, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Suddenly I saw Nazar and (y/n). He said goodbye to her with a smile, and she returned it before they walked their separate ways.
Why doesn't he ever smile like that around me? I thought looking down feeling another twinge in my heart. I couldn't help but feel tears prickle in the corners of my eyes. How could a day that started so happy, end with the saddest sunset ever?
"Kaya?" I heard (y/n)'s voice, and looked up to see her confused expression.
Oh crap I wasn't paying attention, I didn't know she was coming this way. I forced a small smile despite the pain "oh, uh hey (y/n). Don't mind me I'm just taking a walk." I dug the toe of my boot into the ground, and slightly swayed side to side nervously.
"Right now? It's freezing out here." She said in genuine worry. "You should get inside before you catch something."
"I'll be fine I haven't been out here long." I replied my smile flattening. I shouldn't be so selfish. (Y/n) is such a sweet friend. I love her, and I should want her happiness along with Nazar's. I gripped the strap of my shoulder bag tighter, feeling like my heart was slowly breaking. I couldn't help but let a few tears slip. "(Y/n)- a-are you in love with Nazar?" I suddenly realized what I just said, and regretted it automatically. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have asked! It's just... I... I'm sorry." I felt the tears now flow, and then wrapped my arms around her for comfort. "I-I'm sorry..."
"Kaya?!" She shouted seeming surprised by the sudden embrace. When she heard me crying she stiffened slightly. Then I felt her ease as she wrapped her arms around me. "Don't be silly." I could hear the kind smile in her voice. "I'm not in love with Nazar, he's just like a brother to me."
I opened my eyes, and sniffled. "Really?"
She backed away slightly to look into my eyes, and smile kindly. "Yes really." She then sighed. "And if you really need me to prove it, I'll tell you something that only him and Cana know, but you have to promise not to tell anyone."
"Really a secret?!" I suddenly got excited. "What is it?"
"It's the person I do like." She replied her cheeks reddening slightly. "Do you promise you won't tell?"
I nodded yes eagerly.
"Alright it's..." She paused. "Lyon."
"Really?" I asked. "You know what now that you mentioned it that makes a lot of sense."
She seemed taken aback by my statement, and then sweat dropped from her head. "How come everyone else seemed to be aware of my feelings before I even was?"
I just giggled at her. "Because your so dense."
"Wha- I am not." She huffed.
I giggled again. "Calm down I'm just teasing you."
She smiled at me. "Alright come on let's get you home, you have a big mission tomorrow." She winked.
I blushed slightly. I'm glad (y/n) doesn't like Nazar, but that still doesn't mean that he doesn't like her. He surely acts like he does. I just really hope I'm wrong on this one. "Alright then let's go!"
And with that she walked me home.
(Just a reminder this is all the night before Lyon kissed you. In case you still didn't understand)

/Nazar's p.o.v./
The next morning I was packing up the wagon whilst Kaya was saying goodbye to everyone.
"Bye!" She waved as her and (y/n) walked out of the building.
A series of "byes" and "good lucks" we're shouted from the other members.
"See ya (y/n)!" Kaya smiled happily giving her a small hug.
"Bye, take care of my girl Nazar." (Y/n) told me.
"Please you know I won't let anything happen to her." I replied cooly.
Kaya then climbed into the wagon.
(Y/n) lowered her voice and turned to me. "Trust me, go for it." She winked before walking off to the east forest to meet up with Lyon.
-&-
We had been riding in the wagon for quite a while. It was starting to get colder. Where we were going was a far away place that was snowy this time of year. I hoped Kaya was warm enough. She seemed happy because she was just singing that lullaby, and playing with her necklace. Eventually my eyelids grew heavy, and I fell asleep.
/dream/memory Nazar is younger/
I was playing under the shade of the big tree that was on the hill near our house. Daddy had brought me up here for a picnic. This was always my favourite place, because no one else would come up here. It was just me him, and sometimes my uncle. No one was around to make fun of me or call me names.
"Nazar, come watch the sunset with me." My father offered kindly.
I got up and ran over to the bench he was sitting on, that looked over the forest. I crawled up into his lap.
"Isn't it amazing? All that land out there not one man could travel it all." He said. "Me and your mother used to talk about exploring the world together."
"Then what happened?" I asked.
"We decided to have you instead." He smiled down at me.
"S-so did mommy run away because of me?" I asked sadly.
"No, no of course not." He assured me. "Your mother left for her own reasons, and don't let anyone tell you differently. We both loved you more than anything in the world."
"Where is she?" I asked curiously. "Where did she run away to?"
"I only wish I knew." He sighed.
"I miss her." I muttered.
He frowned and wrapped his arms around my small body, pulling me close and kissing the top of my head. "I know... I do to."
"Nazar!"
I woke up to see Kaya smiling down at me.
"Geez sleepyhead I didn't mean to put you to sleep with my singing." She gave a small cute laugh. "Come on, we're here." She then grabbed her stuff and jumped out of the wagon.
Full of energy as always. I thought as I too grabbed my things and followed her out. When I got out she was waving to the driver.
"Thank you!" She said with a smile, that he returned, before tipping his hat and driving off again.
"So what do we do now?" She asked.
Honestly it's good that I came with her. I sighed, "we go meet the client. Then we can drop our things off at the hotel, and get started."
"Ok!" She exclaimed, and then slipped off in the right direction.
I swear she's like a bunny with all the hopping around she does. I quickly tried to keep up with her.
-&-
The client was a very kind man, and he had told us what to do and sent us off with very little information. We had to find some rare creature and bring it to him. He had one of his workers show us the location.
"What does this thing look like again?" I asked.
The worker handed me a photo.
"This job seems kinda hard and- oh my gosh those bunnies are white!" Kaya got distracted and ran off in the snow.
Sweat dropped from our heads.
"She's very excitable isn't she?" He asked me.
"Yeah I don't know what to do with her half the time." Nazar sighed.
"Well good luck." He replied, and then left.
"Kaya!" I called her over.
She ran over with one of the bunnies in her arms. How'd she even catch one? Surprisingly it was calm. She had a way with animals, which is why I'm glad I had her on this particular mission. Although I'd be glad to have her with me on any mission. Dammit Nazar, stop thinking like that, it sounds so creepy. "We aren't looking for bunnies so come on." I walked off into the frozen woods.
She put it down gently, and followed after me.

/Kaya's p.o.v./
We had found the strange creature and given it to the client. It was a cute white fluff ball creature, and I named it Ivory. Nazar told me I couldn't name a pet that wasn't mine, but the client decided to keep the name. I was sad that I had to leave her, but he promised to take perfect care of Ivory. Now we were walking to our hotel to sleep for the night. I was absolutely exhausted from searching all day. I didn't know if I could walk one more step. I stopped and dropped down to my knees, not caring if the ground was wet with snow.
"Kaya?!" Nazar turned around and kneeled down to me. His face was filled with worry which surprised me slightly.
Is he actually worried about me? I thought he just thought I was an annoying little kid. "I'm just so Tiiiieeeered." I replied with a yawn.
"Alright come on, you can ride on my back." He offered, and before I knew it he was giving me a piggy-back-ride.
I felt my cheeks redden slightly, but I was in too much a dream like state to notice much of anything else. I remember him taking me to my room, and then leaving before I fell asleep completely.
-&-
I woke up in the middle of the night with a start. Was that a noise? I swear I just heard something... "Hello?" No response. "Nazar is that you?" Still nothing. I pulled the blanket off of me, and sat my bare feet on the ground, before getting up to check the kitchen.
Suddenly I felt someone grab me from behind. "Hey there girly." He snarled in my ear, as he quickly tied my hands behind my back.
"Hey! Let me go!" I yelled, and struggled against his grip.
Another man came out of the shadows, and restrained my now kicking feet.
"Calm down girly." The man talked again. "Don't worry we'll make sure you get sold to someone who will treat you real nice. A cute little girl like you should make us a pretty penny."
Sell me? What purely repulsive men! "Aaaaah!" I screamed as loudly as I could.
He clapped his hand over my mouth. "Shut up!" My muffled screams could still be heard under his hand. "Quickly and get her feet tied, so we can get her in the bag."
I kicked the man who was desperately trying to tie my feet, in the face, causing him to fall back and hit the wall.
Just then the door flung open, and an extremely pissed looking Nazar stood there, and I mean EXTREMELY.
I bit the man's hand causing him to pull back. "Nazar!" A said in relief. I was still panting a bit from the struggle.
"Ouch, she bit me!" He said before Nazar picked him up, pulling him away from me, and shoving him against the wall. The man looked absolutely terrified.
"What in the hell do you think you're doing?!" Nazar growled at him.
The man, who was now holding a bloody nose from where I kicked him, quickly got up and jolted out of the door before anyone could stop him.
"L-look man, I-I'm sorry. W-we were just trying to make some cash. I didn't know she was with someone, we thought she was alone." The still remaining man explained desperately.
That seemed to only make him angrier. "So that gives you an excuse to try and kidnap a girl, you fucking disgust me!"
"I-I know, it was wrong! I'm sorry! Just please don't hurt me!" He begged.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't!" Nazar replied.
"No please!" The man looked away in fear. "What about her? Y-you wouldn't want to beat someone up I front of your girlfriend right?"
Nazar seemed to calm, but only slightly. He loosened his grip on the man.
The man took it as an opportunity to tear away, and run out the door whimpering like a coward.
Nazar turned his attention to me. "Are you ok?" He asked hurriedly walking over to me. "Did they hurt you?"
I shook my head in response as he kneeled down and started to undue the bindings on my hands. As soon as they were off I wrapped my arms around him tightly. He fell back slightly, and I burrowed my face into his chest.
/Nazar's p.o.v./
I untied Kaya and she then wrapped her arms around me tightly. I was surprised, and widened my eyes. Then I couldn't help but return her embrace. Her body stopped shaking. She was so warm. I took in her sent. I then loosened my grip and pulled back to look at her. I noticed that her knee was cut open.
"You're bleeding." I pointed out in worry.
"Huh? Oh it's just a little scape." She said in a small voice.
"I'll go get a bandage, stay here." I got up and walked out of the room.
When I got back Kaya was sitting on the balcony, letting her feet dangling in between the bars.
I sat down next to her,and put the bandage on her knee. "There you go."
"Thanks she replied simply." She then looked back out across the town. It was quite a sight, just the streetlights and the glistening snow covering everything. "Stay a bit?" She asked.
"Sure, but it's cold out here, shouldn't we go in?" I asked.
"No I need the fresh air." She replied. There was a slight pause. "I don't know much about you..." She stated. "(Y/n) said that you were originally her enemy. Why is that?"
I sighed. "It's kind of a long story, but if you really want to know." I found myself pouring out to her. I told her everything. About my mother leaving, and what my uncle did to me and my father. She was so easy to talk to. "After I left my uncle, and that town, I went to find my mother. Finally after years of searching I finally did, but... She had fallen very ill. I took care of her for about a year before she died. After that I found Project Ekklesia, and got involved in some bad things."
Kaya looked at me with pity filled eyes. Eyes that were so inviting and warm. I couldn't help but to feel happy despite the old memories. Who can be sad about the past, when I ended up getting such a good present, and hopefully future.
She then smiled, and turned to look at the view again. "I miss my mom too. Her and my dad always kind of treated me like a princess. They loved me more than anything. As lovely as being treated like royalty sounds, it wasn't always the best. I got too dependent on them. After Esteven was thrown into chaos everyone disappeared. For some reason I was thrown into a sleep for I don't know how long, I never aged, but the day that your group came into Esteven about a year ago I woke up. I was so scared... Everyone was gone, and I was left all alone. I missed my parents more than anything. I had no one left... No one to protect me, and that terrified me."
I looked at her. The thought of her being that alone and scared hurt. I took her hand seemingly taking her by surprise. "I'll always be here to protect you."
She smiled sweetly. "Thanks Nazar."
The words of (y/n) suddenly rang through my head. "Trust me go for it." What's did she mean by that. Does she know something? Should I go for it? I leaned in closer to Kaya, not letting her hand go. "Kaya...?"
She seemed slightly scared and confused, but didn't back away from me. "What?" She whispered.
My eyes flicked to her light pink lips. I then cupped her cheek with my other hand gently pulling her closer. I met her gaze once more. "I love you." She widened her eyes, but before she could say anything I pressed my lips on her's, letting my eyes close.
I felt her kiss back, and that made me so happy, it was almost like I forgot sorrow ever existed.
When I pulled away she was smiling, happier than I had ever seen. "I love you too."
I pulled her into my lap, and wrapped my arms around her as we both looked out on the town. I smiled more than I had in a long time.
/Kaya's p.o.v./
Suddenly in that moment, all my doubts went away. I leaned back into Nazar's embrace cuddling closer to him. I couldn't help but wonder. How could a night that started off so scary, end with the happiest sunrise in my entire life?

Hey guys I hope you liked this extra long bonus chapter! I'd really love feedback. :) I'm sorry for not having the normal chapter you all wanted, but I was already working in this one. Hope you don't mind. It will get back to (y/n) and Lyon in the next part. I'll most likely update again but the end of the week. Vote and comment, bye!
