Part 12: Screw Destiny!

Dam this part is longer! Oh well, enjoy!

/your p.o.v./

I was dragged into a strange looking room in the middle of the temple. A pillar of magic energy shot down from the very top of the temple to the bottom, of what seemed like a bottomless pit. Wow that's a long drop. The master pressed a stone tablet causing the pillar to glow with power. He continued to drag me toward it.

"Hey what do you think you're doing?! Let me go!" I screamed trying desperately to break from his grip.

"You stupid girl!" He shouted at me. "You will be sacrificed. This is your destiny, so just accept it!"

"Water nebula!" I shouted hitting him back only enough for him to let me go. The force knocked me to the ground as well. "SCREW DESTINY! I'm not going to do it. I don't care what you people want, or who my ancient ancestors were. I'm not going to let someone else decide my future for me! I'm going to live the rest of my life with my friends, going on more missions and having fun, and no one is gonna keep me from that!"

"The spell has already been activated! You need to do this!" He yelled. "And if you aren't going to do it willingly, I'll just have to beat you until you can't move."

The temple shook with the power of the spell.

Suddenly a dark spell surrounded the master wounding him.

"Nazar?" I questioned. But the temple continued to shake causing some of the old rock walls to fall, and I had to dodge them.

"Try to get the spell under control, I'll deal with him." Nazar ordered.

"What are you doing you idiot!" The master screamed at him. "Are you betraying me?"

He didn't answer.

"But I thought you said you were destine to be evil." I said in confusion.

Nazar gave a small chuckle. "Screw destiny."

I smiled at him, and then turned my attention to the stone tablet. Ah! I have no idea what any of this means! How am I supposed to stop it?

"You are going to regret this." The master growled, and used his magic sending Nazar flying through a hole in the wall. He went after him.

No! I can't worry about him now. I need to focus, and trust he'll be ok. I pondered at the tablet. Ugh I have no idea!!! The power was starting to become unstable. There's no way I can figure this out in time. I can't let it fall into the wrong hands either. I have to seal it somehow. But there's only one way I know how to do that, and I can't do it. Can I?

/Lyon's p.o.v./

We were walking around the town looking for (y/n), and everything started to shake. The town seemed to be falling apart.

The men who had recently woken up ran toward the exit. "We need to leave before everything explodes!"

"What about the master and Nazar?!"

"I'm sure they'll figure a way out, but let's go now!"

"What about (y/n)?" Juvia asked in panic.

"Well she obviously wasn't sacrificed, so we have to trust that she'll make it out." Gray said.

"But we can't leave her!" I shouted.

"It won't do any good I we all he trapped!" Gray yelled obviously upset. "I don't want to leave her either, but we need to get somewhere safe, and then figure something out from there. I promise we won't let her die."

"Alright." I agreed, and we reluctantly went out the exit. We ran past the waterfall only for the cave to get covered with large rocks.

When we were there we were met by other members of fairytail. They had captured the men.

"Gray, Lyon, Juvia!" Lucy exclaimed hugging Juvia. "I'm so glad you're ok."

"What are you doing here?" Gray asked.

"You guys went missing for a couple days no one knew where you were, even the client." Erza explained. "What's happening?" The earth was still shaking rapidly, and we could sense the magic power in the distance becoming more and more unstable.

"The power is going insane, if it keeps going like this who knows what it could do?" Gray exclaimed.

Suddenly the earthquake turned into a small tremor before stopping completely. The magic power could no longer be sensed.

"What happened?" Juvia asked.

"Uh! Where's (y/n)?" Lucy asked.

"She was still in there." I grumbled unhappily.

"But what stopped the earth shaking?" Happy asked.

"Someone sealed the power away." One of the men said.

"What but how?" Another asked.

Juvia gasped. "Oh no! You don't think..." She was too scared to finish the sentence.

"N-no." I shook my head. "No she wouldn't do that." I stuttered.

"Do what I'm confused?" Natsu asked.

"You idiot, What is the only way an ice wizard can seal something that powerful away?" Gray asked you could tell through his seemingly calm demeanour that he was upset, and worried.

Iced shell...

"Geez I thought you guys would have a bit more faith in me." We heard (y/n)'s voice and turned to see her standing behind us.

"You're ok!!!" Levy and Lucy yelled happily running up to hug her, but then stopped.

"Sorry." Levy apologized "forgot you don't like hugs..."

"It's ok." She replied pulling them into a tight group hug. "I'm getting used to it."

They hugged her back happily. Smiles shone bright on their faces.

"How did you stop it?" Erza asked her.

"Huh?" (Y/n) tilted her head in confusion. "I didn't I had to get out before the temple collapsed. You guys didn't stop it?"

We shook our heads.

"But then who-" she stopped mid sentence. Her eyes widened in worry. She looked toward where the city had been located the entrance nothing but rubble. "Did anyone come out before me?" She asked her voice almost a whisper.

"No you're the last we saw." Gray answered.

The answer seemed to hit her hard. She still stood staring at the rubble. Tears started to form in her eyes.

"Uh?" I said slightly surprised. "(Y/n) are you ok?"

She ignored my question never averting her gaze. She said something under her breath that I almost didn't hear. "Come on you big idiot don't you dare die, not for me..."

A/n:(Yeah Nazar dies so...
Jk jk ha got you! The part isn't even over yet XD. Sorry not sorry. anyway keep reading... )

I was about to question her when a large stone in the rubble was thrown away, and two figures emerged. One was being dragged by the other.

"Nazar!" (Y/n) exclaimed running to help him. I recognized the person he was dragging as the master. He was out cold.

"(Y/n) be carful! Stay away from him." Gray called.

"No it's ok." She replied. "He helped me, he's a friend now."

Friend? I thought he was our enemy? Well if he helped her I guess he's alright, but still... I don't like how she's so worried about him. Ugh again, what's wrong with me?

Nazar dropped the master weakly, and started to fall to the ground. (Y/n) quickly caught him, and struggled slightly to hold him up.

"Alright." She huffed moving over to a tree, and setting him down so he could comfortably lean back against it. Gray was carrying the master over as well. He seemed mostly unharmed. "What happened? You look like shit." She asked seemingly worried. She just then noticed a large wound on his side that was bleeding. She winced at the sight of it. "Wendy?"

"Right." Wendy replied darting over, and starting to heal the wound.

"Well I had to knock him out, and then find a way to stop the spell. Luckily it hadn't become fully corrupt, so I was able to seal it again. But it was a little dangerous getting out with everything falling apart, especially while carrying someone." Nazar explained.

"You idiot, that temple was unstable. You could have been crushed to death." She scolded him.

"Yeah but I needed to do something. After all I couldn't let my new, and only friend die could I?" He asked with a small smile.

She smiled too. "Yeah I guess not..."

"By the way." He pulled out a small crystal covered jewelry box. It had that same strange symbol from the town imprinted on the front. "I found this while escaping. Is it yours?"

"Uh, no I've never seen it before." She replied. She took it from his hands. "It is beautiful though. Maybe it was part of the city."

Wendy had finished healing him.

"Nazar..." The master said weakly opening his eyes. "You traitor, fine whatever you can spend the rest of you're life as a stupid curse."

Nazar seemed to be affected by the word and looked away shamefully.

(Y/n) got up walked over to the master, and knocked him out again, causing all his men to cower in fear. "Shut up." She said angrily. "Nazar don't you dare listen to him. He is not right about you."

"Thanks." He smiled, and stood up from the tree. He sighed. "Huh now what to do with my life...?"

"Join Fairy Tail." (Y/n) replied simply.

He chucked at this. "Ha ha good one."

"I'm serious." She replied. "You can make lots of new friends, and go on missions to help people."

"Yeah... I just..." He paused looking over at me, Gray, and Juvia. "Don't know if it's such a good idea."

"Oh come on." She rolled her eyes "they aren't the type to hold grudges."

"Yeah!" Juvia piped up. "Any friend of (y/n)'s is a friend ours. Right?"

The other members nodded in agreement. Except for Gray who just simply said. "Well I don't really care."

"Then it's decided! You'll come to magnolia to meet our master and he'll decide if your in or not. Sound good?" She asked.

"Uh ok I guess." He replied smiling again.

Suddenly we heard a twig snap by a nearby tree. A girl was hiding behind it.

"Freeze, who goes there?" Erza asked raising her sword.

The girl cowered and acted like she was going to run.

/your p.o.v./

"No wait!" I exclaimed recognizing the girl as the one from town that I saw earlier. She stopped, and looked at me, not moving from her hiding place. "It's ok we won't hurt you." I kneeled down and held out the jewelry box. "Is this yours?"

Her eyes lit up and she ran over taking the box from my hands, smiling.

Lyon walked up behind me. "I'm taking it this is yours as well." He took out a necklace with the same symbol on it.

She smiled even brighter and took it from him. Then she placed the charm in the box and stared to turn it. It played a soft melody that she sang softly to.

"That song?" I said in surprise. "My father used to sing it to me."

"That's weird." Lyon replied. "But where did she come from?"

"Were you living in that town all alone?" I asked her.

She nodded her head yes, still seeming reluctant to speak.

"But how?" Lyon asked.

"The spell." She replied. "It kept me healthy, and kept me from aging."

"You haven't aged?" I asked in shock. "For how long?"

She shrugged. "Everyone in my village disappeared when the ice wizard sealed the power away from those men. I have seen no one else, that is till you came, but I was too scared to talk to you."

"Well that's ok." I smiled at her kindly. No matter how long she was stuck in there, or where she came from, she's still just a confused girl. One that's been alone for years at that. She seems like she's at least 18 and yet acts younger. It didn't help that she was short for her age. Maybe just a bit shorter than Levy. "What's your name?"

"Kaya." She replied.

"Well Kaya, how about you come with us and we can help you, ok?" I asked her.

She seemed reluctant at first, but after a moment of consideration, she agreed.

"Alright well I'm beat." Gray yawned. "Let's go get some rest and figure everything out in the morning."

"Agreed." Lyon muttered. And with that we all headed back to to town where our client was.

Hey guys hope you liked the new part. If you are worried no you and Nazar are not romantic together at all. It's more like a brother sister bond type thing. Also, by the way, the girl's name is pronounced k-aye-(like what happy says)-ya. K-aye-ya. Like how Maya is pronounced. Any way vote and comment, bye!
