Part 11: Behind the unfriendly face...

Just a warning there may be some child abuse mentioned in this chapter, and violence... It's not too bad though I promise.

The picture is what Nazar roughly looks like. Just imagine it in the fairy tail drawing style. I did make him with an app so... Don't judge!

Also (if you couldn't already tell) this chapter won't have much to do with the romance, but it develops some characters so it is important!

/your p.o.v./

I was dragged away from my friends and now am being taken, well who knows where. It suddenly started to rain, but then almost as quickly as it came it had gone.

"That was weird." I muttered to myself. "Where are we going anyway?"

"You don't have to worry your pretty little head about it." He replied.

"Well I don't want to find out so get your slimy hands off me!" I shouted and struggled against him.

"Hey, geez would you cool it!" He yelled at me as he struggled to keep his grip on me and kept walking.

I never stopped fighting making it a slow trudge to our, or rather his, destination.

"Damn it you're a handful." He got out a communication lacrima and called one of his men. "Tell Nazar to report to the temple."

"Yes sir." The man said and then hung up.

"What kind of temple?" I asked.

"Like I said you don't need to worry about it now keep still, and shut up." He growled, but of course I didn't listen. He dragged me into a temple and roughly dropped me on the stone ground.

"Ouch geez..." I muttered rubbing my tail bone.

Nazar suddenly appeared in the entrance way.

"Huh Nazar thank gods." He sighed obviously annoyed with me. "I need to get things prepared. Watch her, and careful she's a fighter. You can do anything you please just make sure she's still breathing afterwards." He walked away deeper into the temple.

"Fun I get to see your terrible memories again." Nazar smirked and stared to walk toward me.

I suddenly got scared. I don't want to go through it again! "No!" I screamed and just before he cast the spell I made a shield of ice. Something went wrong and the spell reflected allowing me to see his bad memories instead.

I was standing in a courtyard and a little boy, I assumed was Nazar, was backed up against a tree. A large group of other kids were surrounding him.

"You FREAK stay away from us!"

"Your magic is creepy!"

"YOU'RE CURSED, and wizards with curses should be killed. I know my dad told me!"

"No I'm not cursed please just listen to me." The young Nazar pleaded. "I'm not cursed..."

"No one loves you!"

"Go die YOU DEMON!"

"I'm not a demon." He continued to plead, tears now forming in his still youthful and hope filled eyes. "J-just PLEASE leave me alone!"

the scene in front of me vanished only to be brought into another.

"Dad! please you have to do something. The kids at school are making fun of me again..." Nazar said walking into his dad's office.

"Not now son I'm busy." His father shooed him out.

"You never listen to anything I say! I hate you!" He screamed through the office door only to be met with silence. He was now starting to cry.

"Now now Nazar is that anyway to speak to your father?" A man asked coming up behind him.

"Uncle Larick, but he never listens, and he acts like he doesn't care about me." Nazar retaliated. He tried to hide his tears.

"Of course he cares about you, he's your father. Now," his uncle picked him up. "Tell me what's wrong?"

"It's the kids at school they keep calling me names, and saying my magic is creepy." Nazar explained. "It's not even just them, whenever I walk through town everyone gives me weird looks. Uncle... A-am I a curse?"

"No Nazar you are not." His uncle said. "Your magic just makes you special. Don't let any of those fools tell you different ok?"

"Ok Uncle." He nodded.

Once again the scene disappeared. Now I was in a darkened room. A magic circle made of black magic was drawn on the floor.

"Alright Nazar try the spell again." His uncle said to him from the middle of it.

"B-but what if I can't?" He asked.

"I know you can; and it might not be too strong now so you won't be able to see everything, but once you've perfected it you can use it against people and they'll leave you alone." His uncle explained. "Now try it on me. Don't worry it won't hurt me as long as you don't touch me.

"O-ok." Nazar said uneasily and then looked deep into his uncle's eyes. There was a dark flash, and he fell back covering his eyes. "I didn't like it uncle! I don't like it! It's scary!"

"That's because you're seeing someone else's bad memories, but don't worry you'll get used to it. Now off to bed. You need to be rested for your training tomorrow." He ordered.

He left the room, and I was again taken to another location. Nazar stood outside the door of his father's office. Yelling could be hear from the other side.

"I don't like what you're doing with him!" His fathers voice boomed.

"I'm teaching him to defend himself! Everyone in this town thinks he's a freak. They are out to get him, and he needs a way to protect himself!" His uncle yelled back.

"Encouraging his dark magic isn't going to help anything." His father retaliated. "He's my son-"

He was cut off. "And he's MY nephew! I've given him more love and support than you have in all your life."

"I think it would be best if you weren't around him as much anymore." His father replied sternly.

"Brother please..." His uncle pleaded.

"That's my final decision." His father said, and like that the conversation was over, leaving Nazar to cry alone in the hallway.

The next location was what I could assume was the town. It was dark and shouting could be heard everywhere. Some fires had broken out among the buildings. Nazar came running through followed by a mob of angry people.

"DEMON!"

"CURSE!"

"Kill it!!!"

He ran as fast as his legs could take him to the safety of his house. He bolted the door shut and leaned back against it to catch his breath. He sniffled, "Dad?"

No response.

"Uncle?" He tried calling out again.

No response.

He began to walk down the hall to his father's office. The shouting of the people outside could still be heard. "Are you home? I need help." He opened the door.

His father struggled to stand at his desk weakly covered in blood. His uncle holding a knife stabbed him one last time.

"Nazar... run..." His father choked out before his body fell to the ground lifelessly.

"Daddy no!" Nazar screamed making his uncle aware of him now. "U-uncle w-why?" He started to back away, but stopped. He knew he couldn't go back out.

"Oh Nazar." His uncle turned looking practically mad. His eyes were wide, and his front covered in his own brother's blood. The smile on his face showed he was anything but sane. "I'm sorry you weren't supposed to see that. Don't worry though! Oh no don't worry. Don't you see, now I can have you all to myself. No ones keeping us apart anymore. We can rule the world together Nazar. We can use your powers to destroy anyone who defies us. Just me and you. How does that sound?"

"N-no you're scaring me." Nazar cowered.

"Don't be scared. Just come with me." He reached for him.

"No stay away from me!" Nazar screamed and tried to back away.

His uncle grabbed him and slashed a long cut down his face. "Don't misbehave now, or I'll be forced to hurt you." He threw him on the ground.

Nazar cried clutching the wound desperately trying to stop the blood.

A flaming rock wrapped in cloth flew through the window from the mob outside. It distracted his uncle for enough time for him to run out of the room.

"Nazar come back her, don't you dare defy your uncle!"

He continued to run and snuck out a back way away from the now flaming house. He ran into the woods and fell against a tree and cried for a while before he suddenly stopped.

"Fine..." He said dark magic pulsing around him. He looked up his expression filled with hate and anger. "If they want me to be the curse, I'll be the curse..."

"Enough!" The present day Nazar growled pushing me away from him causing the spell to be broken. "That's enough!"

I fell back slightly shocked by what I had just witnessed. I was left speechless for a second. Did I really just live through another persons memories?

"Are you satisfied now?" He asked me obviously furious.

"Nazar... I-" I was interrupted.

"You what?!" He snapped. "Now you know my sob story boo hoo. Oh well I'm evil, and that's what I'm destined to be, so who cares?"

"You're don't have to be." I shook my head.

"What?" He asked seemingly confused.

"You don't have to be what they wanted you to be. You can be good. You can find people who truly care about you. You don't have to be evil. All your doing is proving all those terrible people right." I explained.

"There is no hope for me now... I've lost everyone." He replied.

"There is always hope, and people always come along." I smiled at him. "Sometimes you just need to ask for help instead of hiding everything inside."

"Like you've got room to talk. How many of your so called friends know about what happened to you?" He crossed his arms.

"None. You've got me there, but it still doesn't change the fact that you can be happy again." I replied.

"Tch." He turned away from me. "All of you guild members are weird." Then there was a silence.

It was broken when the master walked in again. "Alright everything's set." He walked over to me and picked me up. "Hm not a scratch. What's the matter Nazar? You're not going soft on me, are you?" He chuckled and then stared dragging me off.

Nazar followed close behind seemingly deep in thought.

Hey guys hope you liked the new part. What did you think of Nazar? More to come soon. Vote and comment, bye!
