Jimmy paced around his room, debating whether or not to send the letter to Scott. What letter, pray tell, did he want to send? It was a letter asking Scott to go on a Valentine's Day date with him since it was, obviously, Valentine's Day. So, why don't we read over Jimmy's letter?

Dear Scott,

Today is Valentine's Day(you probably know that since you're so smart and everyone knows what day Valentine's Day is), and I was wondering if you would like to do something with me instead of just staying in your room doing your "work".
You're probably wondering what we could do today, aren't you?
Well, I want to treat you to a very special Valentine's Day date in Joey's empire. I know you don't really like him all that much-for obvious reasons-but I made him swear on his life that he won't bring Xornoth into this and ruin our date.

You don't have to say yes, but it would be very nice if you did (｡･･｡)

I look forward to your answer.

It wasn't a bad letter, no, Jimmy was scared that Scott would say no and hate him. After a lot of procrastinating and doubting his choices, Jimmy tied the letter up with a bow and sent it off with one of his birds. After that, the anxiety came. What if he said no? What if he laughed at him? What if he got angry at Jimmy for even suggesting such a stupid thing, let alone in the place owned by the person he hates more than his own brother? Jimmy groaned, flopping down on his bed, rubbing his temples. "Come on Jimmy, pull yourself together. This is Scott we're talking about, of course he'll say yes-then again, it is Scott, so he might say no-god this is so annoying!!" the codfather groaned, rubbing his face with his hands. "Maybe I should just go for a little swim, yeah?" he agreed with himself and exited his home, diving into the murky waters and swimming around, playing some hide and seek with the cod and minnows. After a while, he decided it was time to see if Scott replied. To his surprise, he found a letter on his table with a cyan ribbon, it read,

Dear Jimmy,

Of course, I would love to go on a date with you. Although, I don't particularly like the fact that it will be in Joey's empire, but I will take your word and trust him just this once.
Also, yes I am so very very smart, thank you for noticing. (ÚwÚ) But are you suggesting I don't do actual work?(ง'̀-'́)ง

Anyways, yes, I will go on a date with you. I don't expect you to dress up, but I'd love to see you in something nice-not that your usual get-up isn't nice.

See you in an hour?

Scott sent the letter off with his owl and sighed a dreamy sigh. Yes, he was in love with Jimmy. Yes, he loved romantic dates with a passion-despite never have gone on one himself( ͒˃̩̩⌂˂̩̩ ͒) -And yes, he was deeply in love with a fish. Almost immediately, Jimmy sent back a response. He quickly took off the ribbon and read over the paper.

Dear Scott,

I'm so happy to see you said yes!! (≧▽≦) 
And yes I can definitely be there in an hour!

*insert location/coords here*

The elf's heart fluttered at Jimmy's excitement, even if it was only through words on a piece of paper. "Shit! I gotta get ready!" he gasped after realizing he'd been staring at the heart by Jimmy's name for at least 20 minutes. He ran into his closet and searched for a decent outfit. After a while of searching, he decided upon an outfit (see above pic). After getting red, he flew off on his elytra to Jimmy's destination.

Jimmy rummaged throughout his room trying to put together an outfit. He didn't have a lot of fancy stuff, so he just chose things out hoping they would look good together. After a few minutes, he put an outfit together and flew out to Joey's empire. (see image above for idea)

Jimmy stood at the docks entering Joey's empire, looking uo as he saw Scott flying down to him. he felt his heart flutter as he examined Scott's outfit-a light pink button up, black pant, a black corset, boots, and his signature cape. His light cyan hair was swept to the side, however the wind ruffled it quite a bit and his icy eyes seemed full of excitement, a blush dusted his pale face. Scott landed a few feet away from Jimmy, breaking down his outfit- a green turtle neck that defined his body( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , black pants, a belt holding trinkets, and his usual green boots. His dirty blonde hair was put to the side in attempt to make it pretty, but it was adorably messy. The elf noticed him holding behind his back and pointed it out. "What's that?" "Huh?" the blonde seemed to be in a daze, staring at the elf. "Jimmy, you alright?" Scott chuckled, shaking him lightly. He blinked quickly, looking up at Scott. "Yeah, uhm, these are for you." he revealed a bouquet of teal flowers that seemed to have come from the sawmps. Scott smiled widely, taking the flowers in his hands and smelling them. "Jimmy, these are beautiful," the blonde smiled widely, happy with the reaction. Suddenly, Joey flew down next to the two, his bright wings resting behind him. "Good evening, gentleman." "Joey," Scott looked at him skeptically. "If you'll please follow me to your table." the Lost Emperor led the two down a path to a table in a clearing covered by a canopy of trees, it was lit with candles and lanterns tied into the vines. The ground was littered with beautiful red and pink flowers with the occasional blue orchid or a blue azulet. The table was jungle wood and sat between two benches with soft padding. The table held delicious jungle fruits and a mouth watering meal. Two candles sat in between the dishes, a cyan one and a green one. Scott stared at the sight in disbelief. Jimmy organized this?!? There was no way that Jimmy-he meant no offense to this-could have ever done something like that. "Scott, you alright, buddy?" Joey shook Scott a bit, pulling the other out of his state of shock and enchantment. "Yeah, I'm-I'm fine. Shall we sit?" he switched his tone to a royal one, linking arms with Jimmy as they walked to the table. "I hope you enjoy, these are jungle delicacies and they took hours to prepare, I'll have you know." Joey said as the two got seated. "We certainly will enjoy this," Jimmy grinned, thanking Joey for helping him as he flew off. "How did you make this happen?" Scott asked after Joey was away. "Hm?" "I mean, how long did this take?" "It took a while to get together, Joey wasn't too willing for a while. After I convinced him, I had him prepare this and the food yesterday." Jimmy explained, Scott just stared at him lovingly. No one had ever spent this much time on him, let alone invite to something like this. "Scott?" Jimmy pulled him out of his thoughts. "Sorry, I just-" "You don't have to act regal here, Scott. It's just us," the blonde smiled sweetly, holding the elf's cold hand. "It's just.. no one's ever done this much for me." he said, intertwining their fingers. "This is.. I mean, it's amazing, Jimmy! The flowers, the scenery, you, it's all beautiful." Jimmy blushed at the end, staring into Scott's eyes. "Well, I mean, I wanted to be great for you. You're this big royal king who seems so perfect, so I thought that this had to be perfect, like you." "This didn't have to be perfect, I would have been happy with just you and me in your room, alone, just you and me." Scott smirked a bit at the last part of the sentence as he leaned over the table, which made Jimmy blush more. "You know, just you and me in your playing board games and eating food." he added sweetly, which made Jimmy roll his eyes. "What, did I get your hopes up a little too much, love?" "Shut up," the other muttered, obviously flustered. "Don't worry, it'll happen one day, dear." "Wha-" "How about we eat, yeah? Joey probably wouldn't be too happy if we let this go to waste while we just compliment each other." the elf said, digging into the meal. The codfather-though annoyed and flustered-agreed and they both began eating, occasionally joking around or having a compliment war-Scott won, only because it was pretty easy to fluster the fish boy.

Overall, the date went amazing. That was, until, it started raining. The two had just gotten to land, headed to Rivendell, when the downpour started. "Scott, I think it's about to rain." Jimmy said suddenly, looking up into the sky. "Are you sure?" "Yeah," "Uh huh, s-" the elf burst into laughter as a raindrop fell into Jimmy's eyes, the blonde let out a high pitched shriek of shock. "Stop laughing, you doughnut!" he whined, rubbing his eye-it didn't hurt, it was just cold and it surprised the both of them. "Ohhh, that was amazing." Scott wiped his tears, smiling. "C'mon, we're getting soaked!" "I thought you like water?" "So I'm not allowed to dislike rain?" Jimmy scoffed. "Fine fine, let's go." the started running through the snow mountains, slowly nearing the Elf Kingdom. At some point, Scott had given Jimmy his cloak in order to keep dry. Eventually, they made into the palace. Despite the cloak, both the elf and fish boy were drenched. "I'm gonna change," Scott said and walked upstairs. "Okay-" "I'll bring you some clothes, don't worry." Scott chuckled, then shut his door. He came down a while later wearing a white button up shirt-it was probably his dad's, it was pretty big on the cyanette-over some black pants, however the shirt just hung loose over the pants. He handed Jimmy some clothes, to the blonde's surprise, they were green. "I found the greenest clothes I could, I know like that color." Jimmy smiled and changed in Scott's room. When Scott entered the room, Jimmy was embarrassed. Scott took one look at him and laughed-why? The clothes were pretty big on him. He was wearing a big, green sweater with some dark green pants. "Do you like them?" "Yeah, I don't care about the size." "Good, I don't really wear them much." the elf sat next to him on the bed, pulling him closer. "I'm tired." "Then sleep, Scott." "But I wanna cuddle," he whined. "We can cuddle while you're asleep." "Fine," he huffed and wrapped his arm's around Jimmy's torso, leaning against his torso. Before he let sleep take him, he planted a kiss on the blonde's lips, earning a kiss back. Happily, he leaned against him, ready to sleep. Jimmy's hands were already tangled in Scott's damp hair as he fell asleep. This day was perfect and Scott knew that there would probably never be another day like this, where they could just be with each other alone.

Hope you enjoyed this fluffy chapter (with some of Scott being a little too gay for his good) of Flower Husbands. After this, it'll be regular Melt The Frozen Heart, but im thinking of doing something like this for every holiday.
