Follow The Yellow Brick Road
I can't find the yellow brick road.
It was lost to me so long ago.
The witches they laughed
and the monkeys just sneered
but more than anything
it was the red ruby slippers I feared.
Dance a slithering tango Oz said,
"tap those shoes twice"
end up back home
or in hell,
take your choice.
In the end it's fairly simple;
witches don't ride on brooms
but bubbles
and they are just as wicked
We're not in Kansas anymore Toto.
In a place of nightmares
where stories are twisted and feared.
Where you fly alone on a sadistic balloon
and the oceans are made of our tears.
On your journey open up your
heart to the Scarecrows little tune
But don't stay long.
You can hear the forest whisper
"Death will see you soon."
So run away Dorothy.
Run away soon.
The lion was too sadistic for courage.
The tin man was always quite doomed.
And as for me
I still can't find that yellow brick road.
Is that not what they promised me?
Not what they fortold?
Oz sat behind the curtain.
Whispering sweet nothings.
"Tap your shoes twice Dorothy"
I did as I was told
and inside the fiery pits of hell
the devil tells me I'm home.
