"Fresher's day is the beginning of a beautiful journey ; journey which we remember throughout our life."

Its been 7 days since Rajveer insulted Naina. 7 days since Naina started avoiding Rajveer. These 7days passed in a blink of eyes as Fresher's day was announced. Seniors got busy in arrangements and juniors got busy in rehearsing their performance.

Finally the day has arrived. Whole college was busy in running, collecting, decorating, ordering, checking and rehearsing. No one wants to keep any flaws from their side.

Naina, Pooja and Neeksha were rehearsing for the last time as they are going to perform today and they don't want to mess their very first performance in this college. After hours of practising Pooja sat on the floor pausing the music and said irritatedly

"Bas karo yaar ab kya jaan le loge naach basanti naach karke,mujhse aur nahi hoga waise bhi i need to fix my look aaj ka kuch bhi decide nahi hua hain,uper se accessories bhi dekhni hain matching ki sandals kuch bhi to nahi hua hain."

Neeksha agreed with her and said

"Sahi kahan hain Pooja ne ekdum,Kab se practice kar rahe hain. Ab toh chod de. Warna stage pe kuch karne layak nahi rahenge."

Naina reluctantly agreed with them and said

"Yeh bhi sahi hain,thakan bahut jyada badh rahi hain,chalo chalte hain,tum log jake ready hona shuru karo mujhe,Miss mala ne dress rehearsal ke liye kahan tha tum log karke aa chuke,main jaldi se khatam karke tum sabko wahin milti hun."

With this Naina went to meet Miss Mala and Neeksha,Pooja left to get ready for the evening.

Hostel room no .17

Naina, Pooja and Neeksha were getting ready for the day when Sameera barged into their room and said

"Ab tak ready nahi huye tum teeno, 2 baje nikale tha 6 baj rahe hain.Yaar kar kya rahe ho tum log? Oye Naina ab tak tu night suit mein kyun ghum rahi hain?Aur yeh Neeksha apne baal bana rahi hain ya phir road? Itna dheere dheere kyun hildul rahe ho tum sab aur Pooja tu lipstick hi lagati reh, baith ke bas. Jaldi karo yaar."

Neeksha who was curling her loose end said

"Sameera mujhe bas 5 minute aur lagenge. Late huye is Pooja ki wajah se, accessories select ki baal dhoye. Dry kiya balon ko, phir makeup. Yeh sab me time lag gaya. Aur Naina ko to main 5 minute me ready kar dungi. Naina, sun ek kaam kar tu, wahan pe maine chocolate colour ki ek lipstick rakhi hain. Woh laga aur Kajal laga le baki ka main kar dungi, 5 minutes mein aake."

With this Neeksha got busy in curling her hairs and then put a headband with purple and white polka dots and then tied her loose hairs into a pony.While Sameera started helping Pooja as she cant fix her hair.

Naina as per instruction of Neeksha took Kajal and lipstick and started applying it when Alekh and Harshad barged into their room without knocking the door and Alekh said

"Ae Sam, tu abhi tak yahin pe atki hui hain? Rajveer tujhe wahan.....Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh!"

He shouted at the top of his voice seeing Naina who turned to show Neeksha is she looking fine as she applied lipstick without looking at the mirror

"Kya hua,Alekh,Harshad aise chilla kyun rahe ho aap dono?Jaise dharti fat gayi ho kahin pe ya phir asmaan gir gaya ho?"

In the meantime Sameera, Harshad, Pooja and Neeksha looked towards Naina when all of them screamed together and seeing them Naina too shouted at the top of her voice

"Kya hua chilaa kyun rahe hain sab ke sab?"

Naina again voiced out when Harshad said

"Yaar Naina agar tujhe hume darana hi tha to aise hi bol deti yeh dayan ,chudail ka avtaar lene ki kya jarurat thi?"

And other laughed out loudly while Naina remained confused and Neeksha petrified.

After controlling their laughter Sameera took a mirror and hold it in front of her when Naina herself screamed out "Aahhhhhh" forcing other to laugh out loudly again. But Neeksha remained silent throughout this laughing session.

When Pooja nudged her and said

"Naina ki koi lipstick utaro yaar, aur wo dekho bechari Niks ko uske mooh se ek word naa nikal raha hain darr ke maare,jam hi gayi hai wahin ke wahin."

But Neeksha took a wet tissue and moved towards Naina and said

"Tujhe lipstick lagane kha tha Nainu kajal nahi. Ab poch ise aur baith jaa main ready kar deti hun tujhe."

With this Naina got busy in wiping her make up and Neeksha got lost in the visual she saw when Naina applied kajal instead of lipstick by mistake.

"Woh kya dekha tha maine tab? Woh thi toh Naina ki hi shakal,aise hi make up ke saath par era abhi ka nahi laga,sab kuch badla hua sa tha, jaise kisi ne vintage era me achank se dhakka de diya ho, na jagah yeh thi aur na hi mahol aisa tha. Par naina toh mere samne hi thi phir woh flash jaisa mujhe kya dikha?

Aur jab sab has rahe the to mujhe itna darr kyun laga? Main has kyun nahi payi bakiyon ke saath? Itna gussa kyun aa raha hain mujhe? Yeh sab...yeh sab jo kuch bhi ho raha hain mere dimaag ka khel hain. I need to distract myself. Haan yahin sahi hoga. Freshers ho jaye ekbaar main khud ko padhai me dubo dungi."

She could get lost anymore Pooja shouted again

"Niks, ab tu phir se Statue of Neeksha mat ban jaana aur Naina ko ready kar de jaldi se mera ho gaya hain. Hume chalna bhi hain."

With this Neeksha got busy in Naina's makeup while Alekh,Harshad and Sameera left the room saying them to come soon as the programme going to start in few minutes and being the host of the day Sameera and  Alekh are needed to be on the stage.

After getting ready for the day finally Naina, Pooja and Neeksha entered auditorium.

Everything over there was giving a retro feel whether its the decoration or the students. Naina again looked at her sky blue churidar with white embroidery at sleeves and body, brushed her open hair, checked her blue dangler and gave a smile to herself . When Pooja joined her to check her light orange and white polka dots churidar with ruffle sleeves, corrected her polka dots matching headband and checked the lock of her loop.

Neeksha who was keenly observing her finally laughed out loud when Pooja said

"Khikhikhikhi baad mein kar lena pehle khud ko bhi dekh le ache se. Abhi 5min me performance hain mauka nahi milega check karne ka khud ko and we need selfies too in this retro look. So come fast and check yourself."

Neeksha reluctantly looked at herself. She thought this purple cut work in white, skin tight churidar with ruffle sleeves looking good on her. But again this look makes her feel as if she saw herself in this attire before but how can that be possible. She wore this dress for the very first time.

This look is created only for today as the theme was retro. She was trying to calm her when she heard the line which leaves her in anxiety always "bhulega dil jis din tumhe, Woh din zindagi ka aakhri din hoga. Kya hua tera wada."

Neeksha hold the chair present over there so tight that her knuckles turned white with the hold. She immediately ran towards the back stage followed by Naina and Pooja while Sameera announced to clap for the performance gave by one of the first year student.

But before she could control herself they heard Sameera announcing their name which means its time for their performance. Blocking her every thoughts they moved towards the stage and the song played " hasta hua noorani chehra."

Their every step was in complete sync with fabulous expression. Anyone can say they were enjoying the song and completely forgot about the world. They came back in their senses when the song stopped and they ended their dance taking postures.

After their performance got over and the whole auditorium cheered for their performance they came back to their places and the programme continued with some beautiful performances.

In the meantime when everyone was engrossed in performances one girl was speaking to some of the seniors in a hushed tone when Rajveer noticed it and overheard their convo

"Kahan hain na maine ki main kar dungi. Naina ko yeh fresher saari zindagi yaad rahegi. Tum log yahan se jaao. Kisine dekh liya na toh tum sab ke saath mujhe bhi suspend kar denge dean. Pata nahi aisa kya lagav hain Dean ko is batch se,itna bhi kya gehra rishta hain un sabse. Anyway you all go now and let me handle the situation."

Rajveer got a shock of his life and started following that girl who moved towards Naina and sat behind her.

After all the performances got over Sameera announced

"So with this we end the performances and the ramp walk of our beautiful juniors. Everyone enjoy the music and food till we arrange a small surprise from our side."

With this everyone started dancing with all the retro hits. Some got busy in eating snacks while Rajveer and his gang got ready for their performance. Suddenly the music stopped playing and they heard a voice of Rajveer singing a beautiful song of 80's "Dilbar mere kab tak mujhe aise hi tadpaoge."

Everyone cheered after hearing his mesmerising voice when Sameera announced again

"So for the next song Rajveer will need a partner. Who want to join him?"

Some girls immediately raised their hands when Pooja suddenly raised Naina's hand without her knowledge while Naina glared at her and Pooja showed her teeths

Sameera seeing Naina immediately announced

"So we got the one who will sing the duet with Rajveer. Naina please come upon the stage and start the performance."

Everyone cheered her and Naina seeing no other option moved towards the stage.After taking few minutes to prepare themselves, Rajveer and Naina started singing(imagine this song in background as their duos..)

Rajveer strummed his guitar and started singing the song. His eyes were closed as if trying to feel someone. His mind was screaming the name he wants to dedicate the song but like always he cannot. Somehow he controlled himself and continued with the song when he heard Naina started singing the next part.

Naina felt a connection with the song and started singing her lines while her mind was busy in imagining Abhay, her mystery man. She felt this song so close to her. But she dont know the reason so she just continued with the lines.

Aur kar dun jivan uske havaale
Phir chhod de,chaahe apanaa banaa le...

Rajveer took the mic in his hand and left the stool he was sitting on and crossed Naina getting lost in his memories. Memories which are always special to him. Memories which became the soul reason he is still alive. Memories which he will never want to forget.Memories of Shree. Her smiling face. Her doe shaped eyes. Her silky long hairs.

When Naina started her lines she felt Rajveer clenched his jaws. His eyes were somewhere else. But she turn her focus back on the song and sang her lines when she felt Rajveer pulled her towards him and started swaying with the music..

Vo bhi sajan vaa chaahe tumhi ko
Naina uthaae to pyaar samajho

Palake jhukaa de to iqaraar samajho

Naina swaying with the beat while singing the lines. She suddenly felt she was drowning in Rajveer's eyes. The way he was looking towards her was enough to bring goosebumps on her whole body. 

She closed her eyes when Rajveer lightly touched her chin and she looked into his eyes. Eyes which showed pure love while her eyes showed acceptance. She immediately closed her eyes, feeling shy under his constant gaze. A smile adorned her lips.

But she felt someone was closing her churidar's zip and she came out of her LA LA Land when Rajveer said

"Itni besabar thi mere baahon me aane ke liye ki gaane ka mauka milte hi haath utha liya? Aur jab usse bhi mann nahi bhara to, itni cheap harkat seedha apne kapdo ki zip khol li? Mujhe laga tha ki tum jo bhi ho ,jaisi bhi ho atleast shareef ghar se ho, itna niche kabhi nahi jaaogi tum.

But you changed my thought. So bolo kisi ka intezaam kare tumhare liye? Kyunki jis maksad se tum yeh sab kuch kar rahi thi woh sab yahan pe toh hoga nahi. So if you say we can hire someone for you."

Naina immediately pushed Rajveer and they started singing the lines. While Naina was fuming on the other side Neeksha was sitting holding her head with her hands and crying continuosly without any particular reason whereas Pooja was enjoying their song.

Finally when the song ended Naina slapped him tightly and ran from their leaving everyone shocked.

While Rajveer immediately left the place and Alekh,Harshad both of them followed him, while on this side Neeksha started crying out loud and Sameera tried her best to normalise the scenario after this incident maintaining her smile,she continued the party forward by blocking her shocked as well as confused expression

Pooja who was confused seeing both of her roomies reaction thought to follow Naina but seeing neeksha crying so badly she just hugged her tightly and said

"Niks hua kya hain tujhe,aise pagalo ki tarah kyun roye jaa rahi hain tu?Dekh woh naina ko ,uska bhi kuch samjh nahi aa raha hain aise Rajveer ko achank se thappad maar ke nikal gayi, sab kuch to sahi chal raha tha,phir achanak se tum dono ko hua kya hain?Le pani pee aur shant ho jaa aur phir uske baad humein naina ko bhi to dekhna hain na ki wo gayi to gayi kahan aur usko achank se hua kya?"

Before they could move to find Naina Sameera announced

"So the time has come to announce Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher. We would like to call our respected dean to announce the name."

Dean came to announce the name and after sharing how much he enjoyed today's performance he finally announced the name

" Mr. Fresher's goes to Mr. Nikhil Arora and Ms. Fresher goes to Naina Singh Ahluwalia."

Everyone clapped loudly Nikhil joined Sameera and Dean on the stage but Naina was not there. After few seconds Pooja came on the stage to take the sash and prize for Naina and said

"We are really sorry Sir and to everyone who are present here. Actually achank se naina ki tabiyat bahut jyada kharab ho gayi hain.So woh yaha pe nahi aa saki to take this honour isliye uski side se i want to say thank you so much to all of you for this love and special honour."

Rajveer who was standing at the corner finally said to Alekh and Harshad who were ready to slap him hard on the other cheek

"Shruti ko dekh raha hain, woh log seniors se haath milake Naina ko badnaam karne ki koshish kar rahe the. Sash pehnane ki zimmedari Shruti pe thi, jo ki ab Pooja ko sash dene tak se bhi katra rahi hain. Usi sash ke bahane uske kapde shoulder se slip karwake, obscene scenario create karwana chahte the. 

Aur isiliye maine usko bura bhala kaha taki woh bhag jaye yahan se. I was helpless. Maine jo kuch bhi kahan woh sab to woh 2 din mein bhul jayegi par agar yeh log jeet jate, to woh is college me kabhi sir uthake chal nhi paati."

And with this he patted Alekh's shoulder and exited the auditorium.
