Hostel no.17, Hindu College

Hostel room which witnesses new face, new bonding, heartbreaks, pressure of exams, tears. Room which is responsible for many memories a heart holds.That's what going to happen with Naina, Pooja  and Neeksha. 

A room which is big enough for three beds, comprising of three study table, wardrobe and a small window for proper ventillation.

Naina who was busy with her books, kept it aside when she heard her two roomies started a Parliament meeting about the condition of their room.She placed her hand under her chin and started giving her full attention when Pooja said

"Yaar Niks, Naina  tum dono ne apne is room ko dekha hain, kaisa sa, ajib sa nahi lagta yeh tum dono ko? Maine shocha tha ki dhire dhire hi sahi ,yeh mujhe acha lagne lagega ya jaise taise main adjust kar lungi par nahi, is room mein to ab kaidiyo waali feeling aane lagi hain .Colour dekho to zara yaha ki walls ka jaise registhan me reh rahe ho - Pale yellow.

 Aur parde dekho to aisa lagta hain jaise, jab se college start hua hain tab se badla hi nahi hain kisi ne inhe , curtain kum poche ka kapda jyada lagta hain.

Main aur nahi jhel sakti ab yeh sab, please chalo naa apne room ko renovate karte hain. Agar ab bhi isko renovate nahi kiya na toh mujhe is room ki bhootni banne se koi nahi rok paayega."

Neeksha said in support

"Sahi bol rahi hain Pooja . Chairs ke naam pe yeh kanto wali gaddi de di hain. Jispe baithne se padhai ho naa ho haddiya zarur tut jayegi. Upar se we need new bedsheets and cushions too. Saath hi saath, log teen, charging point do. Laptop, Mobile sab kaise charge hoga. Isliye toh adha se jyada time humara phone switch off hi rehta hain. Please na, Naina chal naa, shopping kar aate hain. Waise bhi day off toh hain hi. Please naa."

Naina who was paying full attention to their words finally said keeping her pillow and books aside

"Waah ! badi jaldi nind tuti aap dono ki,ek ko room ka colour pale yellow lag raha hain registan ke jaisa, dusri ko chairs kanto ki gaddi....pooja ab kya hum yaha baith ke walls ko white paint kar sakte hain? Nahi naa aur yaar neekshu chairs gaddi to hain kanto wali, per hilti hui gaddi, iske legs half broken hain, kabhi bhi tut ke niche gir jaye aisa haal hain,warden mam se 4 baar complaint kar chuki hun, koi fayda hua,nahi na? Toh kya ab chairs bhi leke ayenge hum log?"

Pooja  and Neeksha sat beside her sighing heavily and said in unison

"Subah ka bhula agar shaam ko ghar aa jaaye toh use bhula nhi kehte. Chal naaaaaaaaaaaaaa pleaseeeeee."

Naina reluctantly agreed to their idea as she wants to give competition to all the pandas present in this world but can't deny her roomies request too as they made some cute puppy faces. She hate to agree but they were looking cute. So finally said

"Theek hain, theek hain, chalenge tum logo ki jid ke aage haar gayi main,socha tha kuch der yahan waha ghum ke rest karenge par nahi, shopping chalo. Tum dono ko pata hain mujhe shopping se kitni chid hain phir bhi, jo ladki aaj tak khud ke liye ek dress tak nahi le paayi us se yeh sab karwana hain tum logo ko, to theek hain chalo but let me tell you guyz clearly waha jake jhagda nahi chaiye mujhe, to jo jo lena hain uski list bana lo abhi ke abhi."

Neeksha and Pooja immediately hugged Naina tightly and said in over-dramatic tone

"Tu hi hain humari sacchi dost. Abhi list bana lete hain, kya kya chahiye. Yun jayenge, yun uthayenge, yun le aayenge."

And they got busy in making list consisting of coffee mug, cushions, bedsheets, curtains, funky stickers, small wall shelves, extension cord, pen stand, power bank, bean bags, stationeries, biscuit, coffee, maggie and so on when Naina said

"Hum shopping pe jaa rahe ya phir pura bazar uthane? Coffee, Maggie, Cushion, bean bag kya hain yeh sab? Itna kuch leke kaise ayenge hum log, kaunse 4 5 naukar ghum rahe hain humare age piche saman uthane,kum se kum soch ke to banao list tum log."

Neeksha and pooja who were engrossed in their list without paying heed to Naina's word neeksha said

"Pooja stickers naa hum different colours wale lenge aur na coffee mugs me presto karwate hain. It will look cool. What's say?"

Pooja jumped at her idea and said

"Waah Niks! Mere saath rehte rehte tu bhi meri tarah intelligent ho hi gayi finally. Ab aaja selfies lete hain jaldi se. Isko instant print karwayenge aur room mein lagayenge and Sameera unhe bhi bula le charo ki lenge selfie kyuki ab to woh bhi gang me hain na humari. Isn't it a cool idea?"

Naina who got shocked with their ideas and behaviour hit her head hard with her hand. Gave a "kahan phas gayi"look and got busy in clicking pictures to stick in their room.

After clicking some cool pictures three of them got ready for the day, took the essentials they required, locked their room and barged into Sameera's room without knocking at the door when they saw Sameera was applying nail paint.

Without using any extra word they packed Sameera's essential, which includes her phone, room key, sunglass, sunscreen lotion, purse in a bag then brought her comb and Pooja made a pony in her hair and said

"Ab tum ready hogayi ho. Chalo. Aur chinta mat karo saara samaan le liya hain. Oh wait a sec. Say Cheeseeeeeeee."

And she clicked selfies with three of them making Sameera a complete confused aatma. When they sat inside an auto finally Sameera asked

"Mujhe aise kidnapping wala feel deke kahan leke jaa rahe ho? That too in pajama? Yaar change toh karne do mujhe, atleast slipper me to mat leke jaao."

But none heard what she said and continued with their journey.

Kamala Nagar Market

After reaching Kamala Nagar Market Naina said to Sameera

"Sameera don't be shocked kuch naya nahi hain yeh in dono ka.Mere saath bhi humesha yahin karti hain yeh dono, bina kuch bataye, warn kiye ,bas utha ke kahin bhi le jate hain.Isliye kahungi adat daal hi lo in do ke, is pagalpan ki."

Pooja hit her hard on her arms and said

"Jhuti,ek number ki jhuti hain tu naina ,tujhe time diya to tha ready hone ke liye aur phir baith ke jitni der mein humne list banayi utna time kafi hota hain ready hone ke liye, tujhe saj dhaj ke kaunsa mandap me jana tha jo 2 hr chaiye the."

To stop the following fight Neeksha intervened and said

"Sameera , actually tumhara room kitna cool and happening hain aur humara itna dull and boring toh socha kyun na tumhare taste ko dhyan me rakh ke kuch shopping ki jaye, rehna to isi room me hain 3 saal ke liye. Aise dull room me rahenge to aur kuch ho na ho buddhe zarur ho jayenge,wo bhi waqt se pehle.So please help naa."

Sameera with a huge smile said

"Bas itni si baat? Pehle bol dete, saj dhaj ke aati main ache se, har roz thodi shopping pe nikalte hain hum sab. Chalo chalo jaldi se lag jaate hain kaam pe."

With that they moved towards the market to complete their shopping list. They moved towards the curtain shop first where they took 30mins to decide the colour and frills of the curtain while Naina sipped her 3rd diet coke in this time.

They finally decided a white and blue checked curtains with white frill on it. Naina for once was happy with their selection as white and blue are her favourite colours..

They then moved towards the electrical shop to buy extension cord, power bank and all necessary items from the store. Cool Air Conditioned air hit their face which immediately brought a smile on Naina's face.

They argued on extension cord which one will be better, one with many plug points or one with just 3 plug points. Finally Sameera  decided to go with the first one. 

After asking for the umpteenth time whether that extension cord will able to take load of three laptop chargers and after getting satisfied answer they finally bought it and left for further shopping..

But Naina was getting irritated with all this shopping and finally said

"Bas karo yaar tum sab, yun jayenge aur yun aajaynge leke saman yahi kahan tha na aur kya kar rahe hain hum pichle 2 ghante se,itna sir maarne ke baad ,hath pair patak ke, itni shops me dhakke kha ke, kya liya hain sirf puri list me se bas 2 3 chize curtain, extension cord and power bank,BRAVO 3 claps for u all guyz,hadh hoti hain bargaining ki bhi aur jhut bolke mujhe yahan ghasit ke lane ke ki bhi,aana hi nahi chaiye tha tum logo ke saath ise acha to so jaati."

Neeksha to cheer her up said 

"Chal stationery store chalte hain. Tu bol rahi thi na samaan lena hain. Chal chal chal"

And they moved to stationery store to buy pens, journals, pen stand, highlighters.They took exactly 15mins to shop all these and Naina said

"Yeh hoti hain shopping jo lena hain jhat se choose kiya,fatafat se pasand ki aur khareed liya, tum logo ke jaise nahin ek chiz lene me 45 min behas phir kaunsa pasand kare usme 25 min,phir jab shopkeeper tum logo ki boli hui price me na de to us behas me 20 min,huh kuch sikho mujhse."

They gave a "waah! Kya baat hain" look to Naina and moved towards presto shop to print coffee mugs of their choice. After placing order they went to studio to print pictures of their four. They finally checked the list they made but still 3 items left to complete this shopping and Naina have zero energy left.

They moved towards bedding store to buy new bedsheets as they have only one in extra. Naina gave a not again look to them but they ignored it and started choosing pattern and colours of the bed sheet. 

Sameera checked whether its a mixed product or a pure cotton as mixed product shows lint after two washes and not at all comfortable for sleeping.

After again bargaining for 6 set bedsheet for four of them they left the store to buy cushioned chair for their room.Pooja after buying her favourite bean bags for their room and showing her battesi to Naina when they heard Neeksha saying

"Naina ,Pooja, Sameera hum fairy lights bhi le le? Waise toh Pooja ne already photo print karwane de di hain.Par ise agar hum Pooja ke bed ki side wale wall pe lagayenge na to wow lagega  aur yeh stickers Naina wale side pe. Whats say?"

For the first time in this whole shopping spree Naina liked this idea as she loves fairy lights. They further purchased their remaining goods and went to have chaat as they were hungry.

Everyone placed their order of  bhelpuri,sevpuri,aloo chat,papdi chat and in the end they decide to fill their tummy with Golgapaa.

After polishing their dishes Naina and Sameera together said

"Golgappa competition kare? Bahut din hogaya hain golgappe nahi khaya."

They ordered for four plates of Golgappe and started their competition but Neeksha was in some other world. All this was so known to her as if this all happened before.

She was feeling suffocated suddenly but she cannot show this. Her friends who were enjoying this day she cannot snatch their smiles by saying her inner turmoils. It will be better that she paste a forced smile on her face. She got lost in her thoughts when she heard Pooja saying.

"Yuhuuuuu,main jeet gayi,main jeet gayi, dekha naina ki bacchi maine tujhe kaha tha ki main hi jeetungi , badi ayi jeetne wali and humari sameera aayi second aur tu third, yipeee ! class mein, studies me humesha first aane se jaruri nahi hain ki her jagah tu hi first aajayegi meri kitabi keeda...

Aur isko neeksha ko dekho to kab se sirf woh pehla golgapa shuru wala jo isse di thi wahi leke khadi hain,isko to chote bache jaise hath se khilana padega..."

Neeksha smiled seeing her enthusiasm when Sameera and Naina said in unison

"Haan meri maa tu jeeti hum sab haare, chal ab presto shop time hogaya hain."

And with this they took their remaining things and headed back towards their college.

Canberra Airport

A man was calling someone and keeping an eye on the departure panel. After calling for 5 times when the person received the call he said

"Ma'am sir is boarding a flight to Berlin. Security checking is done now moving for boarding."

"Are you sure its Yuvraj?"

He replied confidently

"Yes ma'am. I saw his face too but if you want i can show you his picture too."

She thought for a second and said

"No its ok. Just keep an eye on him"

With this she cut the call and said 

"Pichle 6 din se hum aapko canberra ki har ek gali me dhund rahe hain aur aap humari aankhon mein dhul jhok ke germany jaa rahe hain. Sheena haar nahi maanegi. Nahi manegi. Aarghhhhhhh."

But in the meantime Yuvraj changed his look completely so that no one can recognise him. He came out of men's washroom in a complete sardar look and said

"Sheena, Sheena, Sheena. Kya laga tumhe ki, mujhe pata nhi chalega  airport mein bhi tumne apne guards rakhe huye hain. But you forgot Ms. Sheena Oberoi ,Yuvraj tab tak kisike samne nahi aata ,jab tak woh khud nahi ana chaahe. 

Karo peecha ab mere look alike ka. Jab ek shehar mein reh ke tum 6 din tak mujhe dhund nahi payi..to phir to Berlin ho ya Mumbai, i am sorry to say, you lost this challenge Sheena didi."

He took a pause and then said

"I know tum whi milogi mujhe jahan sab kuch khatam hua tha. Mumbai humare swagat ke liye ready raho,kyuki Main aa raha hun.Yuvraj aa rha hain."
