Ragging, when done lightly creates a bond between seniors and their juniors. But when its done from sheer jealousy or revenge it ends everything.

Sense of responsibility always makes you feel a little bit older and matured from your age and experience. Every person face a moment when they are showered with responsibilities. Sometimes it makes you feel overwhelmed, sometimes it gives you a jittery effect and sometimes it breaks you down.

Today, Naina was feeling the same but not the latter one as she was selected as the C.R of her class by her classmates which means a new sense of responsibility showered on her by her classmates and teachers who found her worthy of it.

After the class got over for lunch, Naina, Pooja and Neeksha came out of the class smiling, giggling and chatting within themselves

"Oye naina chal party chahiye hum sabko treat de tere C.R banne ki khushi me and meri list tu abhi se sun main khaungi nachos, paav bhaji, 2 plate hakka noodles uske sath me veg. manchurian and uske sath mirinda ki 2 bottle aur meethe me pastry wo bhi black forest iske baad ka waha jake tujhe kahungi tu order deti jana chal jaldi"

Naina who was amused with this, replied to Pooja

"Pooja tu lunch ke liye order de rahi hain ya pure mahine ka khana pack karke store kar rahi hain,itna saraa khana aur uske upar se yeh ki waha pahuch ke aur kahegi? tera pet hain ya phir kua?tujhe dekh ke to nahi lagta tu itna khati hain ya phir hajam bhi kar sakti hain."

Neeksha immediately came to support Pooja and said

"Kya hain yaar Naina? Khane ka hi toh order diya hain, kaunsa tujhse teri jaidad mang li? Aur ab toh hum sabki mauj hi mauj hain...teri bhi aur humari bhi. Afterall we are C.R's roomies and her besties too. Chal ab jyada bhav na kha aur treat de."

Naina gave them a "inka kuch nahi ho sakta" look to both of them and headed towards the canteen.

Having their favt. food in lunch and a lot to talk about, Naina, Pooja and Neeksha got engrossed in their discussion which has became a serious issue for them as Pooja said

"Yaar yeh roz subah me biscuit kha kha ke mere mooh ke to taste buds hi mar gaye hain uper se lunch time ate-ate itni zoro ki bhook lagti hain ki man karta hain jaldi se yeh lunch ho warna kahin main table chairs na khane lag jaau classes ke bhook ke mare ya phir kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hain jaise pet me chuhe nahi pura zoo bhag raha hain."

Naina agreeing to her words said

"Yaar Pooja, life me pehli baar hi sahi tune kuch to dhang ki baat kahin hain. Iska sach me kuch karna padega, nahi toh hum ek hi nashta kar kar ke pagal ho jayenge. Yeh sukhe sukhe se naste se adha din niklana bhi mushkil hota ja raha hain. Biscuit-namkin se kitne din nikaal payenge? Mahina khatam hone se pehle khana khatam. Ab mid month me kaha se layenge kuch bhi snacks aur subh me canteen khulne se rahi aur jab tak uthte hai mess me sada hua toast k siwa milta kuch bhi nhi hain. Hum kya karenge yaar?"

Neeksha who was enjoying her spicy Pav bhaji said while licking her fingers

"Pet me agar zoo nahi to kya jurrasic park bhagega? Its obvious ki sirf biscuit namkin se adha din nikaalna impossible hain aur agar ise rokna hain to subah jo kumbhkaran ki sagi behenein banke padi rehti ho sabse pehle wo band karo tum dono. Pade pade 8.30 tak soti rehti ho aur phir baad me bhagte huye ready hote ho. Biscuit,namkin, namak para aur saath me chai meri badaulat tum dono ko mil raha hain, wohi bahut badi baat hain,warna jis hisab se tum dono chalti ho bhuke rehna pade pura adha din hum sabko."

They were completely into their discussion when Sameera came to their table holding some papers in her hand and panting. Neeksha who was startled by the sudden bang asked looking at Sameera

"Kya baat hain aaj aise marathon bhagte huye kahan se aa rahi ho? Olympics me naam dene ka soch rahi ho kya jo aise bhag ke ayi ho?"

Sameera who drank a whole glass of water Naina forwarded towards her said

"Olympics me nahi, Drama club me naam likhna hain tum teen ka. Yeh lo forms. Bahut mushkil hota hain iska form milna itne saare students bharte hain, mujhe bhi pichle saal almost end me mila tha. Aaj jaise hi issue hua tum teen ke liye utha laayi aur dene aagayi tum teen ko."

Naina who took the form from her hand were bit hesitant towards it when finally after some minutes voiced out her concern

"Par drama club i mean mujhe to acting aati hi nahin hai, phir isme main kaise apna naam de du."

Sameera who took a morsel from Neeksha's plate said while chewing her food

"Arey isme sirf acting nahin hain, agar tumko singing, dancing, musical instruments play karna isme se kuch bhi aata ho to you can join this club. In short I can say this is an all-in-one club. Kuch students to aise bhi hain jinko kuch nahi bhi aata hain but if they are good in decorations and props, they can also join this club. Ek alag level ki prestige hain is club ka pure college me."

Pooja who was silent till now finally said

"Arey waah! Full on entertainment and masti. Main toh join kar rahi hun bina kisi shaq ke, abhi ke abhi, laao form do jaldi se. Aur sirf main hi nahi yeh dono bhi karenge,kyuki in dono ko bahut acha dance aata hain. But Sameera yeh form fill karke denge kahan hum log?"

Sameera who was happy with the response said

"Ofcourse mujhe hi doge. Kyunki is club ki student incharge abhi main hi hu, so it won't be an issue."

Three of them got engrossed in filling the form leaving their half empty plate when Naina suddenly asked

"Par Sameera mera ek swal hain yeh mix club kyun hain? Naam to drama club hain par isme hota sab kuch hain dance se leke gane bajane tak sab kuch aisa kyun? I mean sab activities ke liye alag alag clubs kyun nahi?"

Sameera who was already ready with the answer said

"Actually yeh sawal maine bhi kiya tha apne seniors se. They said ki maan lo jaise ki ek student agar 3 4 activities me maahir ho to ek sath 3-4 clubs join karna uske liye impossible hoga toh isiliye isko mix group banaya gaya. Waise bhi maine apne kai seniors ke muh se suna hai 1975 ki jo batch thi they started this trend. Ek group tha 6 ka jo multi-talented the and they took this drama club , and level of our college high in inter-state championship."

They found the topic to be interesting so to continue further they ordered 4 cup of chai and repeated their order of Pav bhaji for four and got back in discussing the history of Hindu college.

Dinner time, College Mess, Hindu College

Naina, Pooja and Neeksha were having their dinner after a tiresome day when Neeksha went to fill her plate back as its a rare sight in Hostel mess to have something good to eat as a meal.

She after filling her plates came back to her table when she found the other two are missing. She thought they went to counter to fill their plates as she knows both of them are foodie.When 10minutes passed but still they didn't arrived she called them out but both of their cell phones were present in their bags which they left on the chairs..

When extra 15minutes passed and they didn't arrived Neeksha started panicking. She immediately left her half-filled plate, took their sling bags containing their room keys, phone and purse and left the place in search of them..

When she reached the main corridor, she saw Sameera and Alekh coming towards the canteen, maybe to have their dinner. She ran towards them and asked in her panicked tone

"Sameera....Naina...Pooja...canteen me..."

Sameera passed her the bottle she was carrying with her and said

"Paani pee lo aur sans leke batao kya hua hain Naina Pooja ko?"

Neeksha emptied half the bottle and said

"Hum dinner kar rahe the. Main chapati lene gayi hui thi jab wapas aayi toh dekha Naina aur Pooja dono ke dono nahi hain table par. I waited for them, even called them but they left their bag. Maine us side me pura dekh liya kahi nahi mile woh dono. Mujhe bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hain pata nahi kyun. Please help me out."

Sameer and Alekh exchanged a look and Alekh said

"Don't worry tum shant ho jaao aur chalo humare sath hum teeno milke unhe dhundte hain. Yahi kahi college me hi honge. Mujhe toh lagta hain wo dono tumhare saath majak kar rahe hain. Par phir bhi koi naa dhund lete hain dono ko."

When they turned towards the opposite side saw Rajveer and Harshad coming towards them. Rajveer when saw Neeksha in a panicked state, before Harshad could say anything he asked

"Kya hua hain? Itni ghabrayi huye kyun lag rahe ho tum teeno? Is everything all right?"

Sameera briefed him the situation Neeksha told them when Harshad said

"Arey woh dono to waha ragging k liye..."

But Neeksha didnt let him complete and she asked

"Kaunse room me tumne un dono ko dekha tha Harshad. Please jaldi batao."

Harshad who was confused with her behaviour said

"Main auditorium me."

And she immediately ran towards the auditorium followed by Alekh, Harshad, Rajveer and Sameera.

On the other side Naina and Pooja, who were stucked in the auditorium were silently observing the situation over there when Naina saw two of the seniors she fought with coming towards them with an evil smirk.

Naina shifted her position but said nothing to them when she heard them saying

"Oho lady tyson aap kaha chali? Abhi toh party theek se shuru bhi nahi hui hain maja to ab ana shuru hoga aur aap side ho gayi. Tch! tch! yeh to galat baat hain, nahi guyz?"

But still Naina didn't replied. Seeing her standing silently they again said

"Kya hua? Usdin toh badi sherni ban rahi thi. Aaj hawa nikal gayi sherni ki aur seedha sherni se chuhiya ban gayi? Arey nahi, i think humara face pasand nahi aaya. Vicky ko bulate hain uski hotness dekh ke hi shayad kuch bole yeh hahahaha"

The crowd started increasing as more people joined them but when they found Naina to be still silent they moved towards Pooja and started taunting her but still Naina remain silent. Anyone can say she was controlling her temper but this will go out of her hands if they dont stop at this moment and maybe destiny was planning something like this only.

One of the senior hold Pooja's hand tightly and started pulling her towards the stage to show her moves in some item songs and Pooja who was irritated tried to release her hand from their hold and replied

"Ek kaam karo na tum hi karke dikha do pehle kaise karte hain aise gaano pe dance phir main karke dikha dungi bharat ki tadapti hui tarasti aatma hath chod mera pehle"

But they tightened their grip on her both wrist and tried to touch her face when Naina who was still standing moved forward with a sweet smile again and said to them

"kisi ne sahi kahan hain kutte ki puch ko seedha karne ke liye chahe salo saal nali me rakh lo per rehti wo tedhi ki tedhi hi hain, toh meri na ek advice hain ispe ki kutte ki punch ko seedha karna hi kyun hai kyun na seedha kaat hi de."

She punched on his face and started beating them in blue and black when Neeksha follwed by Rajveer, Alekh, Harshad and Sameera reached the auditorium and witnessed it. She got freezed in her position when Pooja saw one of the senior coming from back with a bat to hit Naina. She immediately ran towards her, hold his collar and said

"Naina agar tu bole to kya main apne jutte ka number iske muh par double kar dun?"

Naina replied to her

"Puch kya rahi hain kar de na bina kuch soche samjhe aaj to in kutto ki jumme ki raat hain samajh le tu."

They got busy in fighting without noticing anything. Neeksha tried to stop them but none paid heed to her when she shouted at the top of her voice.

"Band karo tum dono yeh maar peet. Kum se kum is baar toh sunn loh meri baat ko. Bahut badi mushkil me phas jayenge hum log. For once just listen to me god damnit. Please ruk jaao"

But none heard what she said except the one's standing with her when Neeksha saw two more seniors coming from back to hit Naina and Pooja she immediately ran towards one of them, hit on his head with the steel box she was carrying with her in her bag and said

"Sale namard ki aulad. Piche se war karte huye sharam nhi aayi tum logo ko?Naina Pooja aaj yeh aaye apne dono pair pe hain par jaayenge kisi aur ke kandho pe."

They got busy in their task to make their beautiful faces and body more beautiful when Sameera, Alekh and Harshad tried to stop it but Rajveer stopped them by saying

"Koi jarurat nahi hain. Yeh teen jab tak ek saath hain they dont need anyone else. Let them continue agar sambhalta nahi hain tab hum dekh lenge."

They continued watching the beautiful scene where three juniors beating their seniors in black and blue. After sometime when Naina, Pooja and Neeksha thought its enough they left them and moved towards the exit blabbering among themselves.

"Haye bada maja aya in sabko surf excel me dubo dubo ke dhone me,Uff itna hath pair chalane ke baad me bahut zoro ki bhook lag gyi hai, yaar naina chal phir se kuch khila teri C.R wali treat abhi bhi adhi baki hain chal jaldi se ise pehle ki canteen me sab khatam ho jaldi chal ghur kya rahi hain tu."

Naina who was shocked with this reaction of pooja said to her

"Tu kya chiz hain yaar subah itna kuch khaya abhi phir se mere bhai paa ki hotel nahi chal rahi hain yaha pe behan jo 24 hr tujhe khilati hi rahun mai."

But just after when she replied to pooja. Naina saw Rajveer in front of her and blabbered

"Bas yahi dekhna baki tha yeh bhi yaha pe hain, sab ke sab mard ek jaise hain aajate hain maje lene bachane ki himmat 1% nahi hain par herogiri karwa lo bas, such a loosers they all are whatever."

Neeksha who was feeling happy with her task followed her roomies but stopped in the mid and came back to Sameera, Alekh, Harshad and Rajveer and said

"Thank you nahi kahungi. Sameera ko chid hain. But agar aaj tum teeno nahi hote toh itni asaani se dhund nahi pati in pagalo ko main. Chalo ab mai Chalti hu. Bye and good night."

When they left the place leaving an amused trio and happy Rajveer back. Rajveer said the other three.

"Kahan tha na they don't need anyone. Mil gaya proof? Chalo aaj ke liye kaafi entertainment hogaya hain.Chal ke Kuch kha le?"

Alekh smiled and replied back

"Aur tu kuch nahi karega?"

Rajveer with a small smile said

"Jarurat toh nahi hain. Par phir bhi mera yeh chota sa kaam ab tu karega."

With that he left followed by a smilling Sameera, Confused Harshad and amused Alekh.

Ragging has been banned in most of the colleges. Some colleges brought Anti -Ragging slogans too. But when it was started what was the main motive behind this tradition?

Naina who was fighting back to back with her seniors giving a strong woman goal but is she going to be safe after this repeated attempt?
