With a bright glow, Echo turned into an albino dragon, her scales reflecting the little light they had. Luna pulled at the heat that was roaring in her stomach. She bared her teeth at the oncoming enemy, and released a growl that shook the cavern. The heat in the pit of her stomach screamed and twisted, begging to be let out.

    Luna let loose the golden flame inside her and let it fill the room with a burst of light just as Echo opened her jaws, bright white flames sprouting from her mouth.

    The white flame of Echo mixed with Luna's golden fire, turning into a brilliant shade of pale gold. The fire spread from one Nightstar to the next, killing them instantly. No pain caused to them, just making them drop, defeated to the hard stone ground.

Luna felt the anger pulsing through her veins cease, and she shut her mouth, not wanting to hurt her new friends. She swallowed the urge to let it go, let the flame inside of her burn out. But it was a losing battle, she glanced warrly at Echo, now human, panicked. She could not open her mouth or the flames would take over. She tried to contact Echo through her mind, to tell her to take Karry to the opposite end of the cave, out of the danger zone. But Echo was on the ground.

Luna felt like she was going to explode, the heat, before was comforting, now covered every inch of her body, was slightly too hot to handle. She wanted it out, out, out.

She saw the Echo had stood up and was with Karry now, Luna took advantage of the situation, and unfolded her wings and flew up to the top of the cavern, and let loose the heat, the golden flames licking the walls. The top of the cavern glowed red from the heat, and started to melt away, letting the bright moon shine into the cave.

Finally the heat exited, and she flew back down. She saw the two Shapeshifters over in a corner, Karry still unconscious. She raced towards them, and bent down next to Karry. His eyes closed.
