"Echo, what are you going to do?" Luna was shocked by the crazed look in Echo's eyes. She saw her lift the unicorn horn sword above her head, was she going to stab Karry?

Luna lunged at Echo, tightening her arms around her neck, refusing to let her kill Karry. She had healing gifts, she did not need to put him out of his misery by killing him.

"Luna!" Echo shouted, "Let go!" But she kept her grip around her, she didn't want Echo to face the depression once she came to her senses. She didn't want to lose a friend.

    Before she knew what was happening. She saw the sword leave Echo's hands. She felt a surge of panic stretch between her lungs. She could not win, she could let go now, and race forward to catch the sword, but then Echo would find some other way to kill Karry. And then the sword sunk into Karry's heart, and Luna froze. All of this happened in 2 seconds. Luna felt Echo holding her breath beside her. The moment was very tense. Luna could not believe that Echo killed Karry. She stood there in shock, her arms finally released the hold on Echo, dropping limply to her side.

    Luna wanted to cry out, to yell at Echo, she wanted to fly away from this situation, she wanted to feel the sharp wind cut across her face, letting the tears fall. But before she could say anything, a blinding light, stronger than the one she saw earlier, engulfed them all.

When the light ceased, Karry was staring at the two in front of them, holding the sword, a mix of emotion showing on his face. Bewildered by the expressions on Luna and Echo's faces. Startled by the sword in his hands. And happy, mostly the expression he was giving them was happiness.
