She heard some laughter coming from Echo, and Luna smiled. "I think we'll get along well... if we weren't in this situation."

Totally, Luna thought, but why we are in this situation in the first place is my question. She thought, feeling her happiness being sucked away and turning into a grim feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"I hear them, they're coming." Echo pulled out her bow, preparing to shoot. "Here, take my sword." She handed Luna the unicorn horn sword that was hung at her hip.

Luna tentatively reached out and grabbed the unfamiliar sword. She had never used a weapon other than herself.

"I-I think I'm better off using my fists." Luna said jokingly, but even she could hear the worry that was layered behind the joyful words.

Suddenly, Luna caught a whiff of something, it smelled damp and fresh, but at the same time burning her nose. She knew that those must've been the smell of the Night stars. Luna took another sniff, and caught something else mixed among the disturbing smell, it smelled like a human, but had something off about it, like Echo, but definitely not the same, Echo had a nice honey-ish scent to her, while this smelt more like a rotten egg.

"Eclipse." Karry ground out. Luna turned to face him and saw Echo move her hand to... restrain him? The two locked eyes and seemed to have a whole conversation within a few seconds. Luna felt strangely left out, even though they were silent.

Karry suddenly had a murderous glare and lurched ahead, out of Echo's firm grasp. He launched himself forward and popped into a sleek grey wolf. Luna jumped back, startled by the sudden transformation.

Luna looked to where Karry was running and saw a dark figure illuminated by the light of the flame. This must be that Eclipse girl... Luna thought, staring into the amber eyes. She felt drawn to them, but as she stepped one foot forward, towards the girl, there was a ripping noise and suddenly there was a tiger in the place of Eclipse.
