"This adventure will be good for you, Delia!" Gandalf said, attempting to convince his friend to come with him.
"Fine. I will come, but you will owe me."
"I'm fine with that."
That conversation happened a week ago.
Currently, Delia was on her way to the Shire.
She was good friends with the hobbits, for while Gandalf was famous for his fireworks, she was famous for her cooking.
Every time she brought her traveling resturaunt through, hobbits would line up for days, because, as we all know quite well, hobbits are know for their love of food.
As she entered the Shire, a group of hobbits came up.
"Where's your cart?"
"I'm sorry, I am here on business this time." she smiled, ruffling the boy's hair.
She arrived at the hobbit hole with a mark on the door.
"Oh, poor Bilbo. Gandalf really needs to stop nominating people for this kind of thing without consent." she laughed quietly as she tied her horse.
Right before she knocked, she sensed someone behind her and turned.
"Who are you?" the dwarf demanded.
"A friend of Gandalf's. I would ask you the same if I didn't already know who you were, Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King Under the Mountain." she replied, bowing her head slightly.
He was silent for a moment.
"May I knock now? " he asked.
She stepped aside.
Once Thorin knocked, they heard Gandalf say, "They are here."
Soon after, the door opened, and there stood Gandalf.
"Ahh, you both arrived just on time."
"Hi Gandalf, and hello Bilbo. I am very sorry you had to be subject to this commotion." Delia said.
"It's quite alright Delia. It's not your fault in any way."
Bilbo was like a son to Delia.
When they got into the hallway where everyone was, Delia stood in the back, against the wall, not talking. She wanted to learn what these dwarves were like.
She could tell that she would clash with the dwarven king. Their attitudes were the same.
Fili and Kili were comical, so they would be good friends.
She wasn't sure what to think of Dwalin, except he had more of a sense of humor than Thorin did. That was for sure.
Eventually, she went outside and walked through Hobbiton, talking to all her friends.
"What kind of business are you here for?" most of them asked.
"I'm sorry, I can't tell you that." she replied, smiling sadly.
Suddenly, Fili and Kili came up behind her and linked their arms with hers.
"What in the world are you two doing?" she demanded.
"Uncle Thorin said we had to find you and bring you back." Fili smiled.
"And we didn't think you would listen to us just asking, so we thought we'd make you come back." Kili grinned.
She rolled her eyes, freed her arms, and raced them back to Bilbo's, which, of course, was a race she won.
