I gave Dottie a feather to play with on the way home. While walking home, Aphmau ran up to us.
"Hey guys. Is this Dottie?"
"Yeah. She's distracted with her feather."
Dottie looked up at her then looked back down and continue playing with her feather.
"Looks like it. I'm having a house party at my place and I was hoping you would come. You can bring Dottie and Aaron along."
"Oh yeah I totally will be there."
Dottie's ears poke up and she starts to look around. Then she tugs on rmy sleeve.
"What is it?"
"I hear footsteps in the bushes."
I use my night vision to look into the forest beside us. Not seeing anything I turn on my thermal vision to see a human sized heat source holding a gun. I jump onto of Aphmau and Dottie (who had moved in front of her just moments before) and the gunshot goes off.
"Run to Aaron's house!" I tell Dottie and Aphmau and they both take off running. I put both hands in front at me and shot the tree which knocked over, stalling time for myself to get away. I guess I'm not joining the eco-friendly club anytime soon. I run to Aaron's house as I hear sirens. Someone must've called the cops. I see Naomi coming down the sidewalk. Then I saw who the heat source was. Naomi's brother ran into our yard with his sniper in hand. The police car drove up and tackled him to the ground. Unarming him before putting him in hand cuffs. Naomi stands on the side walk in shock as they put him in the police car. I was still on the porch of Aaron's house, so they came up to me first.
"Excuse me miss. I believe you were the victum. What Happened?"
"He tried to shoot me, my friend, or my neko."
"Where are they? I told them to run here." I walked to the door and knocked. Aaron opened up.
"Get Aphmau and Dottie."
He yelled for them to come out and Dottie ran up and hugged me around my legs.
"This Neko was originally his til she told me she was abandoned on the side of the road by him. So when I found her I took her in. I found out he abused her as well. Naomi, the girl on the sidewalk over there, is his sister. She won't believe it. What happened was we were talking to Aphmau and then Dottie heard something. I saw him in the woods with the sniper and I tackled Dottie and Aphmau. Told them to run here then I got up and ran myself. Then that's where you guys got here."
"Would you like to press charges?"
"Yes."
"Okay thank you for your time. Have a great day."
"You too."
