Meet the Flight - Part 1
I woke up in a good mood.
Then, I realized I would be leaving today.
I sighed and untangled myself out of the covers and dragged my feet to the mirror.
I tried to smile. I just kept frowning. I brought the sides of my lips up.
It didn't work.
I shuffled over to the closet and threw on (outfit of choice) and (shoes of choice) on.
Then, I shuffled downstairs into the kitchen.
Memories flooded through my head as I remembered everything that happened.
Fuyuka-nee, why is this so hard? I'm not leaving forever, am I?
I started to cry.
Why do I have to leave him too?
I made (breakfast of choice) then ate it in sad silence.
After I finished, I cleaned my plates then shuffled back upstairs.
I put on some lipgloss and then got my luggage and carry on before picking up a big stuffed dog from Onee-chan's room.
I walked around the house one more time before I heard a beep outside and ran out.
I got in the car and Auntie smiled sadly at me.
"You're really leaving. I'm proud of you. I bet your parents and sister are too. You know, they're watching over you." She said and I smiled sadly back.
"Yup. Let's go, I don't wanna miss my flight."
~
I reached the airport and got out of the car. Auntie hugged me and kissed my forehead.
"Go far, kid. I know you'll do great." We both smiled with tears in our eyes before hugging one last time.
"I'm not leaving forever, Auntie!" We giggled before I walked into the airport and waved out the window.
~
"Flight twenty-three is boarding now. I repeat, flight twenty-three is now boarding. Thank you."
The intercom spoke before ending suddenly.
I stood up and walked over to the boarding station. My phone was ringing nonstop and has been for the past twenty minutes.
Ema-chan called twice and Iori-senpai has called the other million times.
I had listened to the voicemail Ema-chan left earlier.
It said:
"(Y/N)-chan! I'm so sorry! Fuuto-kun came into my room and saw the letter on my desk before reading it and ripping it up. He told Iori-san. I'm so sorry!"
It swirled in my head. Fuuto-kun, the Fuu-chan or Asakura Fuuto-kun, the idol, went into his sister's room and read the paper. He probably thought it was a love letter from Ema-chan.
I wanted to cry again.
I sat down in my seat and put in my earbuds before staring out the window.
Was this the right choice?
