Last time

*Jason finally got a much deserved rest, Marinette had. Small smile looking down at him, was her leg going to fall asleep from all that weight? Yes. Was she gonna move? Not even an inch.*

Present

Marinette:ok, so for many reasons were gonna skip week 38 and go straight to week 39

Barbara:why? What happened?

*Marinette frowned deeply, even Gave a small pout that Jason just found adorable. He chuckled And kissed Marinette's cheek*

Jason:come on love, it wasn't that bad

Marinette:shut up yes it was, 5 I had to deal with 5 of those damned things, because everyone wanted to make me "happy"

*Marinette said with her hand in the air and her tone deeeeeep with sarcasm and anger, even years later, week 38 still pissed her off. Everyone was looking at her with curiosity, she sighed and waved her hand at Jason giving him a none verbal permission to tell it*

Jason:fine, I guess we can talk about week 38, but I won't go into much detail since 1 I wasn't invited to any of them. And 2 the more she remembers the angrier she gets

Jason"even though angry Marinette sex is awesome"

*Jason thought with a bit of a goofy smile on his face, he coughed and began the story of the worst week of Marinette's pregnancy*

Week 38

*After there little conversation last week, Jason was more calm, he still had some paranoia be it that the baby would be here in just 14 days. 17! Days. 3 extra very long, very painful days. Ejem yes 17 days, he was still panicking over that metaphorical second shoe to fall, but it wasn't as intense as before*

Marinette:i still can't believe you, convinced me to do this...

Jason:you wanted to enjoy the sunny day and that's exactly, what we're doing

*Jason said with a grin, he was behind Marinette pushing her along, all the while Marinette was in a wheelchair so to not overwork herself. Again, could've been worse just saying. Anyway after enjoy the breezy day, Jason and Marinette were making there way back home when they noticed multiple cars in there driveway*

Jason: are you expecting company?

Marinette;no, but I know jagged's car anywhere, and oh God my parents car too....

*Marinette said with a whine, since even do this day jagged refused to forgive Sabine and Tom and dis not hide his hatred in the slightest. With a sigh she looked up and gave Jason a soft smile*

Marinette: let's get this over with, hopefully it won't be too stressful....

Jason:if it gets too much do you, just give my hand a squeeze and I'll kicked them right out, I don't care if they see me as the bad guy

*Jason said with a grin only someone who's a black sheep could give, they made it to the door and opened it. Instantly they were received by screaming, and a very loud electric guitar solo*

Guests: SURPRISE!!!!!

*Marinette and Jason looked around confused, all of Marinette's female friends were there, along with Sabine, penny and the star of the show, Jagged*

Marinette:uh, I'm gonna need some context

Jagged:well, my little baby stylist, since you are pregnant, and things happened faster then anyone expected. Guess who was the first one to remember to throw the best girl in the world a baby shower yeah!!

*Jagged said with a smug grin, Jason could see a few forced smile, that they'll later learn as there because of jealousy that jagged got to do the first baby shower. Marinette gave a small gasp realizing what this was and gave a wobbly smile. Jagged walked up to her and kissed her forehead*

Jagged:now, you!

*Jagged said pointing his finger at Jason, je jabbed the finger and gave him a small glare*

Jagged:this is a ladies only party so you'll have to make yourself scarce,

Jason:if it's a lady only party, why are you staying? and also the hell? I helped you keeping her out of the house and I can't Even stay?

*Jason said looking down at jagged, the man still didn't buy the height boots to make himself taller then Jason. Jagged just started counting with his fingers

Jagged: because I planned it, I bought everything and I was the one who set everything up, also...

*Jagged pulled Marinette inside and straight up slammed the door on Jason's face. Jason eye twitch and he gave out a frustrated sigh*

Jason:Mari looked happy, do this to keep her happy....

*Jason said to himself as he went to find the nearest cafe to pass the time with a bit of coffee that marinette still couldn't drink. But overall the party was a smashing success they ended up with more diapers and nursery items, than they'd known what to do with.

Present

*The family saw Jason grow a haunted expression, as Jason he was having a small PTSD flashback of the diaper changing*

Jason;those things didn't last 2 months, my god i still don't get just how, all they ate was milk, how did they go so many times....

Dick:I know the feeling

Kori:you don't know #$*#$+#, you never did 1 diaper, I had to do them all

*Kori said with an angry smile remembering that time in her life, dick was a good father don't get her wrong, but he didn't lift a finger when it came to diaper changing. Dick got a bit smaller with an awkward smile*

Dick;a..anyway what about baby shower number two?

*Dick said trying to save his own skin, last thing he needs is make angry a alien warrior princess*

Jason:right, the very next day....

*Jason was driving slowly as he kept glancing at his wife, it's been a while since driving made her sick. But there was always a chance. They parked and Jason helped Marinette out of the car holding her hand as they looked at her parents bakery*

Marinette:I got a bad feeling about this, stay close to me

Jason:yes captain, now let's go into the belly of the beast

*Jason said giving Marinette a salute as if she was her commanding officer. Marinette looked up at him with a raised eyebrow and a small smile, Jason was thankful that she found that little salute amusing*

Marinette:your such a dork

Jason:you love it, come on let's face those stairs together

*Jason said with one hand he was holding Marinette's hand, with the other he had his hand on her back to support her from the baby weight. They walked inside and slowly made it to the second story of the house, Marinette took out her keys and opened the door*

Ladies: SURPRISE!!!!

*Jason and Marinette looked confused as in front of them was another baby shower this one having more, traditional decorations. And for some reason penny wasn't there*

Marinette:uh, what's going on here? I just had a baby shower yesterday

Sabine:yes, while true, jagged doesn't know the first thing about baby showers, that's a woman's job. And since I couldn't be there for your wedding this is the next best thing

*Sabine said putting the guilt thick in her words. And sadly it worked as Marinette, grew a nervous smile and chuckled a little*

Marinette:well....I guess a small party isn't the worst thing in the world

Sabine:oh lovely, Jason I'll bring her to you home later, Chao

*Again the door was slammed on his face , he didn't even get a piece of cake. With a sigh, he walked down seeing Tom there having a similar expression as Jason's*

Tom:you too huh?

Jason:yep, what you got there?

Tom;oh just some cards....want to play a little poker?

Jason:....for fun, or for keeps?

*An so another day came and went and arguably Jason had a better time playing some poker then Marinette did having a second baby shower*

The very next day again

*Jason and Marinette were on the elevator going up to Chloe's penthouse, Jason looked down at Marinette and couldn't help but smile, she was rubbing her belly, looking down at it with the most beautiful of smiles. The elevator door opened, Jason helped Marinette walk to the door and opened it for her*

Guest: SURPRISE!!!

*Marinette didn't even bother to smile as she looked at her females friends, this time neither penny or Sabine were there. Marinette raised an unamused eyebrow at Chloe who's smile didn't falter"

Chloe;what? Those first two don't count. How can you have a baby shower with your parents? Gross. This is the real baby shower, the 18+ version. Brought to you by your BEST friend

*Chloe said with her trademark arrogant smile that irked the other ladies. Chloe shot Jason a look and he sighed getting the hint, he turned around and walked away ignoring Marinette calling his name*

The very next day again again

*Marinette and Jason were at Kagami's house. She told them something about wanting to show Marinette a new technique. Jason opened the door for her and.....*

Guest: SURPRISE!!

Marinette:oh come on!!!

*Marinette screamed angry, Jason quickly started massaging her shoulders to calm her down, since anger was bad for the baby, Kagami walked in front and bowed*

Kagami;I'm sorry Marinette, but I knew the party my girlfriend threw wasn't the kind of party you enjoy. And what kind of best friend would I be, if I didn't give you the baby shower you deserve?

Marinette:as of right now juleka is my best friend at least she would never

The very next day again again again

Marinette:why.... just....just why?

*Marinette said pinching the bridge of her nose with her eyes tightly closed as she took some calming breaths. In front of her was another forsaken baby shower this time on a boat, it was pirate themed. Juleka was there playing with her fingers nervously, she didn't meet Marinette's gaze as she spoke*

Juleka:w..well everyone else got to throw you one...

Marinette:....how long

Juleka;just 2 hours I promise! Jason can even stay and...

*Both heard the car turning on, Marinette snapped her neck and saw her beloved husband driving off as fast as he could. That was gonna cost him later but for now? Jason was laughing uncontrollably finding the whole thing incredibly funny*
