Present

*The door opened and in walked in selina and Selina alone. They all looked at her expectantly knowing that Bruce wouldn't be returning with her. Marinette seeing this got an angry scowl on her face*

Jason:don't let it get to you love, that man would rather lose his loved ones then admit that he might possibly maybe be wrong

Marinette;then he's gonna have one sad life where no one will be there for him. Anyway Selina let me get you caught up, please sit down

Selina: thank you dear, and I'm sorry my husband is such a stubborn mule

*Selina sat down and felt as if she was the chosen one, since marin decided to sit on her lap which Selina accepted immediately even wrapping her arms on her little waist*

Marinette:I'm sure you can say that about all men

Kori:agreed

Barbara:that's why I prefer dating women now so much simpler

Marinette:that's the same excuse Chloe gave me

*The girls laughed as Jason and Dick rolled there eyes. Damian simply didn't understand and Tim didn't much care either way*

Selina:anyway, I believe you wanted to catch me up? So tell me what happened after I left

Jason:I'll be right back love

Marinette:alright so....

*Marinette started getting her caught up, Jason kissed her cheek and walked out. It took a while but he found what he was looking for*

Jason:man, been a long time since I've seen you drink, what you got there scotch? Maybe some Hennessy? I would personally got for the Hennessy

*Jason said sitting down next to Bruce, he raised his hand and the bartender gave him a bottle of beer*

Bruce:....

Jason:are you gonna say something? Because if it's just me talking I'll just be a monologue

Bruce: you're not gonna let me drink in peace?

*Jason hummed as he took a sip of his drink*

Jason:nop, tell me dumbass. Is that code of your really worth losing your family?

Bruce:I'm not gonna change my code Jason, killing is wrong. I don't care what you all call me, and yes I've heard what everyone calls me from the rest of the family to members of the Justice League. I'm not changing the code

Jason:seriously man, Selina changed her code where she barely steals unless she can't control herself, I changed my code where I don't kill unless there's no other  Choice, freaking Damian changed his code, you know your son that was trained by assassins? He still has a stick up his ass like father like son, but he did change his code. We all met you half way and you can't play nice with my wife?

*Bruce took a sip of his own drink and took a long sigh*

Bruce:what do you want from me Jason, without that code I won't be able to control myself. What your asking me is something I can't give you

Jason:oh believe me I know, I've seen the you in other dimensions, P.S. never sit down in something called Mobius chair. You'll turn in to a villain, still out of all of them your one of the better batman, you lose against some dimension called the brave and the bold

*Both chuckled finding it amusing how normal other dimensional being coming to there life's has become*

Jason:look, I'm not asking you to lose that code. I'm not dumb enough to think you would. Choose your code over your family, you made that clear when you didn't avenge me, I made my peace with that. Well I'm working to make my peace with that in therapy anyways, but that's not what I'm asking

Bruce:then what exactly are you asking me to do, because I just can't meet you half way, I can't accept killing in any sense Jason. You know that's a slippery slope

*Jason sighed as he finished his beer and got up, he looked at his father as if he was looking down at a toddler that didn't understand basic math*

Jason: I'm asking you to accept that not everyone believes in that code of yours not even Superman. I'm asking you to be ok with that fact and not to push your morality on other people since they lived different lives and see the world differently then you. Now are you gonna fucking apologize like and adult and come back or are you gonna strain your relationship with everybody even more?

*It took a long while of Bruce just looking down at his drink before he sighed and got up*

Bruce:I'm guessing you 'forgot' your wallet

Jason:you know me so well~

*Bruce rolled his eyes and paid for both of them. Father and son walked out and started walking back to Jason's home*

Jason:while we walk let me get you caught up with what you missed in your little tantrum

*Again Bruce rolled his eyes but let Jason continued, Jason monologues about everything as fast as he could until Bruce like Selina we're all caught up. To Jason's surprised bruce actually gave a full belly laugh at how marinette called his suit*

Bruce: a gimp suit, oh man that's....that's a new one I'll tell you what, that's the first time I heard someone call the suit that, I'm sure Lucius fox will love to tease Alfred about that, he's always telling me how he could make a better suit then al ever could

Jason:why don't you take him up on that offer?

*Jason asked still looking rather surprised that the dark Knight laughed so hard at someone insulting his suit. Bruce on the other hand cleaned a tear from his eye and shrugged*

Bruce: I'm a creature of habit and I like my suit. Not to mention I saw the blueprints for the suit Lucius talked about, he's calling the model. batman beyond

Jason:are you gonna take him up on that offer some day?

Bruce:maybe, but the technology is still years away from being ready

*They made it back to Jason's home and the younger Wayne looked at the older one*

Jason:ready?

Bruce:yes

*Jason opened the door and a smile couldn't help but escape his lips as he saw Marinette moving her hands as she told the story*

Marinette:and then the insufferable bumhat named adrien said "I knew that was you Mari!"

Selina:Adrien? Adrien agreste?

Marinette:the very same

*Marinette said with a scowl that Jason found adorable seeing her nose all crunched up looking like a bunny*

Jason "I really am enamored with her aren't I?"

Selina:I've met him before a few times in New York with his fiance, oh I gotta tell you that woman is the fakest person I've ever met. I could tell in the first 5 second that she was lying her little flat butt off

Marinette:....god i want you to adopt me now. Is that weird?

Selina:not at all!

*Selina said with stars in her eyes as she snapped her neck at Alfred who sighed*

Alfred; don't you say it, it's bad enough when master Bruce says it so don't you dare  to bloody say it

Selina:Alfred call the guy!

*Alfred groaned and did no such thing, the rest of the bat family laughed at his reaction*

Marinette:it was just a joke, uncle stone would have a heart attack if he found out someone got to adopt me before him

Jason"that and penny would kill Selina and make it look like an accident. And she can actually get away with it"

*Jason thought shaking his head with a chuckle, that chuckle made everyone look at them. They were surprised seeing Bruce there, Selina was a bit miffed that Jason was able to bring him back when she couldn't. And marinette's smile disappeared turning to a scowl looking at Bruce. Bruce stepped up and looked at Marinette*

Bruce:I'm, sorry I walked out that was immature of me. And I apologize

Marinette:it's not me you owe and apology to Mr. Wayne

*Marinette said coldly as she pointed to Jason. Bruce turned around and placed his hand on Jason's shoulder*

Bruce:Jason I'm sorry. For a lot of things, and I'm also sorry that my code simply doesn't Let me do the things you need from me. But know that I do love you and you are my son, even if I don't show it I love and am proud of you. Of all of you

*Bruce said before he gave Jason a hug, Jason returned the short hug. But soon they were both back on there seats*

Jason:so. Shall we continue?

Bruce:please

Jason:ok like I said I gave Andre American currency....
