*Jason sighed as he got out of the plane and walked out of the airport seeing Alfred waiting for her*

Alfred:welcome home master Todd

Jason:hey Al it's... Good to be back, thanks for picking me up

*Jason said forcing a smile on his face, they got inside the limo and drove off*

Jason:so, how's things been since I've been gone?

Alfred:oh, same old same old. Master Bruce wants to have a word with you back home I'm afraid even I can't save you there

*Jason groaned loudly not wanting to deal with Bruce or anybody for that matter*

Jason"all I want to do is crawl in my room and sleep"

Jason:well I'm already feeling like shit so fins what's more do pile up on me?

*Jason grumpled sinking in to his seat, Alfred looked at through the glass*

Alfred;I take it the mission did not go as desired?

Jason:the mission? Oh uh yeah the mission it.... Was successful

Alfred:you don't seem very happy about that

*Alfred said unlike Bruce and his emotionless ass, Alfred had no fear showing genuine concern on his face*

Bruce:so this is just gonna be a trash Bruce Wayne Day?

Jason:hey you crashed my family's Christmas so yes, very much so just be thankful your not batman or hal Jordan

Selina:Hall Jordan? The green lantern? Why do you hate him?

Marinette:oh BECAUSE it's common knowledge in Paris that when ladybug asked for help form the Justice League Hal Jordan was the one who answered and said she was making it all up.

Bruce"note to self find hal Jordan and ring him a new one in the yellow suit until he's nice and bloody"

*Bruce thought darkly, his hand bawled in to fist so hard his knuckles turned white*

Marinette:Which then cause the battle of ladybug vs hawkmoth to last another 5 fricking years of emotional terrorism. So yeah any and all green lantern are not well liked in Paris, defender of earth my ass

*Marinette grumbled, her teenage years completely wasted because of that green asshole, but not like she's bitter or anything. No no of course not*

*Jason said as he walked inside, he ignored his siblings and made a straight line to Bruce's home office. He opened the door and sat down looking at the other side his adopted father Bruce Wayne still in a call. Bruce looked at her and then turned his chair*

Bruce:I don't care how much money we'll lose Wayne enterprises will not work with those people fix it or you won't have a job to come back to on Monday morning

*Bruce hung up pinching the bridge of his nose*

Jason: I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that wasn't a social call

Bruce:some bumhole in the company thought it would be a good idea to partner up with another company that was harming the rainforest because screw the rainforest I guess

*Bruce sighed, Jason nodded and got up slowly making his way out*

Jason:seems like you need a drink I'll tell Selina to come calm you down

Bruce:sit your ass down we are not done here

Jason:come on Bruce you had a hard day I had a hard day let's just both take a second to breath maybe take a drink or two and we get back in to the swing of things

*Jason said almost at the door, Bruce Gabe him a glare only a tired parent could give*

Bruce:Jason.sit.down.

*Jason groaned and sat back down with his arm crossed. Neither talked for a while waiting for the other to make the first move , ultimately Bruce was the first to speak*

Bruce:well aren't you gonna say something?

Jason:and what would you like me to say? Sorry I was infected with scarecrow fear toxin? Sorry I did a civil service ?

Bruce:civil service? Jason. Jonathan Crane has permanent brain damage now!

Jason: really? Fantastic maybe that way he'll stay in Arkham asylum instead of going out and mentally torturing people with there fears

*Bruce slammed his fist at the table but Jason wouldn't give*

Bruce:Jason this isn't a joke!

Jason:or your right, a joke would be sending him to space, or locking him in a room without way of escape, or maybe "I won't kill you, but I won't save you either" and let that man suffer, I don't know what your so bend out of shape off I didn't kill him

Bruce:you were far too violent and the worst part is that you don't even feel bad about your actions

Jason:oh maybe that's because I don't, I did my job. I'm going to the trail what more do you need from me?!

Bruce:I've heard enough, you've clearly not taking this seriously so I talked with you're boss B until further notice you are suspended without pay

*Now Jason was angry, without his pixie there to calm him down his pit quickly was taking over as he glares at Bruce*

Jason:who gives you the right to do that?! It's my life and you have no right telling me what to do anymore I'm a grown ass man!!

Bruce:when you show me you can act like it then I'll let you go back to work for now you're...

*Jason literally flipped the table to a bookshelf breaking both, Jason turned around and walked away furious*

Bruce:Jason! We are not done here!!

Jason:YEAH WELL I AM!! I'm going home and I swear if you or anyone from this family follows me I'll show them personally my gun collection and how they work!!

*Jason said in a hot breath if he was a cartoon character he would've spit fire with his angry he was*

Bruce:ja..!

*Jason slammed the door Close, he was so mad that he was absolutely seething his eyes started to sparkle green again. He walked out as usual no one stopped him as he walked out, no one came to see if he was alright, no one came to calm bim down. They didn't even spared him a glance completely used to this. So they just let him walk to his apartment alone*

Present

*Marinette gave everyone there a smiling glare, every member in the family could feel it, even Alfred could feel it a little*

Marinette:funny how quickly you all are to just blame Bruce and forget that you all also have a hand in how you treat others in your family. Especially someone who needs help since he's the only one who's been in the pit huh?

*Marinette said in a sharp tone. Dick coughed trying to defend himself*

Dick:to be fair Bruce and Jason fight like once maybe twice a week

Marinette:oh really!

*Marinette said smiling, Jason winced since he knew that smile that was Marinette 'imma be a little shit' smile*

Marinette:so they fight like cats and dogs every week and none of you ever thought that maybe I don't know talk about? Have a civil discussion and keep an open mind? Maybe try and resolve your issues without punching each other?

*The batfamily kept quiet. While members outside of the family aka Kori and Selina since they both had similar thoughts and had told there spouses as such for years*

Bruce: it's not that simple

Marinette:so the ruthless business man is scared to talk about his feelings? I do believe there's therapy

Alfred; another thing everyone here fears

Jason:ajem

Alfred:except for Jason and that's why he's currently my favorite

*Jason puffed out his chest full of pride, Marinette had a cheeky smile but kept quite*

Marinette"even though I was the one that all but forced him to go to therapy. Eh I'll let him have this one, it's so rare that he wins something

Back to the past

*Jason made it to his apartment, the walk calmed him a bit but her was still in a foul mood. He opened the door and made a B line to his room ignoring Roy and his lag of the night! He walked inside his room and placed his shuffle bag down*

Jason:hello bed....

*Jason said extremely tired as he just crashed in the bed. The mix of his emotions and the jetlag getting to him, as he almost made it to the world of sleep his phone vibrated making him whine. He took his phone and flinched when he who it was from*

Marinette "hey Jayjay I hope you got there safely just wanted to let you know how much I love you, I'll talk to you later

*Jason kept looking at the text before just leaving it on read and went to sleep hugging his Legs to his chest*

Jason: this is what's best, it's for the greater good. That child will be better without, SHE will be better without me...

*Jason mumbled to himself feeling hollow as he let sleep take him*

Prologue

*we see Konoha in chaos, the kyuubi was just sealed back up in there new vessel, the person who released it was killed and now it was just a matter of rebuilding*

Hokage tower

*Minato took a deep breath as he crashed on his chair, he moved his head and frowned slightly seeing a photo he kept on there*

*Minato grabbed the picture framed and looked at his genin team, more specifically at Obito or how he called himself Madara Uchiha*

Minato:all this chaos and for what Obito?

*Minato muttered with sadness behind his tone as now he's a sensei who outlived two of his genin something that no sensei ever wants to experience. Minato just sighed again opening a drawer and placing the picture there, he closed it not wanting to see a memory or his failures*

jiraiya:man it's a mess out there

*Jiraiya said, Minato got a small sense of amusement hearing his teacher use the window instead of the door, he could almost hear hiruzen screaming at a younger Jiraiya for doing that. Jiraiya sat down putting his feet on the table, he looked at his student showing genuine concern*

Jiraiya:how are you holding up?

Minato:how I'm holding up? How am I holding up... Look outside Jiraiya that's my mental state right about now. My village just suffered a horrific attack, the death has reached over 500 and still rising as more bodies are found. I had to see mebuki and her husband die in order to protect there new born daughter. Konoha is still on fire and I can hear the screaming match the civilians and Shinobi councils will have tomorrow when this all settles, oh and let's not forget that the person responsible for this massacre was my very own student that I had to kill!

*Minato screamed and then covered his face with his hands, small tears of frustration falling from his face still not being able to fully accept that the knuckle headed genin he trained could cause this much destruction. Jiraiya sighed and patted Minato's back*

Jiraiya:the good news is that he's dead whatever his goals were they won't materialize, one of the death was mebuki, and don't you start you know as well as i do that she was becoming corrupt, her friendship with Kushina means nothing

*Minato sighed and nodded hating when his master was right, and then Jiraiya grinned*

Jiraiya:and finally proof that those tips I gave you for that honeymoon of yours worked not 1 but 2 kids? God I'm good

*Jiraiya said in a smug tone rubbing his chin, Minato rolled his eyes with a small smirk*

Minato:actually I tried those moves she hated them and swore me to never use them

*Jiraiya felt as if a huge rock was throwned on his back so he just sat back down and sighed rubbing his back*

Jiraiya:named them yet?

Minato:yeah, Minato and menma you should see them, they even got fuzzy hair on there head Naruto is a blond like his old man's and menma has black hair like my father, heh safe to say that I'm gonna be my boys favorite

*Now it was Minato's turn to be smug, he had his eyes close so he missed Jiraiya's smile faltering*

Jiraiya:so which one has the 9 tails?

Minato:we decided to give it to menma

Jiraiya:why not split it in half?

*Minato looked at Jiraiya confused as if he grew a second head*

Minato:because why would we do that? Kushina was given the full kyuubi at birth, so was her mother, her grandmother, and so on and so forth. The Uzumaki blood has the strength to seal the kyuubi up fully with the correct sealing jutsu. Splitting the kyuubi in half isn't just reckless and dangerous but...just dumb when you really think about it

Jiraiya:yeah....Minato we need to talk, the...the toads just gave me a prophesy, it involves menma

*Minato's smile completely disappeared, it was as if he took of Tobi's mask off all over again*

Minato:what are you talking about? How could there be a prophesy about my child he was just Born

*Minato said not in an angry tone but a cold one missing all emotion. Jiraiya just shrugged having more time to get acquaintance with the news the toads gave him*

Jiraiya:it was gonna be made the second you placed the kyuubi to anyone, you gave it to menma so his destiny is set in stone now

*Minato didn't know how to take this news so he did what his brain thought best to protect him, he entered his Hokage mode, holding his hands together in a serious expression on his face*

Minato:what is this prophesy you speak off

Jiraiya:the toads told me I would train "a great apprentice and that apprentice would either bring great peace or great destruction to the world, this child will have a great power inside him a power like no other" having the kyuubi inside him can't think of a more powerful power then that

*Minato nodded thinking of what that means for his son, but his gut punch wasn't over since Jiraiya wasn't gonna give him time to breath*

Jiraiya:Minato, we need to place our complete and total attention to menma if he's to save the world nothing can be more important then him....which... which is why Naruto should be placed in a orphanage outside of Konoha

*The window in the Hokage tower broke from all the chakra pressure Minato released, his face showing no expression but his eyes told him everything Jiraiya needed to know*

Jiraiya: Minato, i don't say this to be cruel. I say this for the good of Naruto, think about it with all the attention we have to give menma, how do you think Naruto would respond to such a thing? And don't give me any crap that we can train both of them you know we can't, all or attention need to be on menma. Tell me does that sound fair to Naruto? that the boy was born with the misfortune of being the brother of the child of destiny?

*Minato calmed down and looked at his desk, his Hokage side was telling him Jiraiya was right, his Shinobi side was telling him Jiraiya was right, his analytical mind was telling him Jiraiya was right, Naruto deserves better then to just be forgotten by his parents*

Minato:what about Kushina? No matter what you say you won't be able to convince her, family is the most important thing to a Uzumaki

Jiraiya:I already came up with something. But if she finds out, if she realize what we did....I'll be honest with you Minato she'll divorce you, I don't see any way she could ever forgive you, I'm begging you to think over about this. I told you all of this because I want you to decide what to do I told you my idea it's up do you if we'll do it

*Sadly for Minato, his mind was still in Hokage mode, the decision was made before his newly form father side of him could even interject*

Minato:you said he could bring peace or destruction, there's not another option this is the only option. We're Shinobi we have to live with our choice even if there heartbreaking now what is it?

*Jiraiya nodded and took out a scroll putting it on the table, he opened it and read it, his eyes widen slightly*

Jiraiya:the second isn't the only one able to create forbidden type jutsu but after we do this I'm burning this scroll since this is something on the level of what Orochimaru would do

*Jiraiya said in disgust of himself for making such a disgusting jutsu, Minato nodded and looked down at the scroll and what it said it does*

Minato:"memory blocker, a B level justsu the more chakra you place on the scroll the higher level the technique will become. With this you'll be able to erase or altered someone's memory"....

*Minato grabbed her hat and placed it on himself*

Minato: Kushina will be the only to have this placed on Her, You and me? We'll live with this guilt and shame it's the least we deserve

*Jiraiya nodded as they both got up and flickered to Kushina in the hospital room, she was sleeping exhausted but with a smile having both of her baby boys in her arms, Minato's expressionless mask faltered a little as the reality of what he's gonna do hit him like a load of bricks, but his eyes became cold again as he nodded to Jiraiya, Jiraiya gave a silent sigh grabbing Naruto from Kushina's grasp and flickering out. Minato walked up to Kushina and kissed her temple softly*

Minato: please.... please forgive me for this even if we both know you could never forgive something like this

*Minato said as a lump started to grow on his throat, he did the jutsu, for all Kushina will remember menma lived but Naruto didn't survive childbirth*

With Jiraiya in land of iron

*Jiraiya bought a basket and placed Naruto inside it, he made sure he was as warm and as comfortable as possible. He walked to the orphanage seeing a lady already there waiting for him, Jiraiya flinched, he looked down, Naruto had grabbed his finger and started to giggle. Not a lot of things can break Jiraiya's heart the old sannin has been through enough heartache throught his lifetime to get used to it. But this? This was something that managed to break the heart of the toad sannin of mount myoboku. He kissed the baby's forehead and took his finger back*

Jiraiya:sorry kid, I'll pray to Kami that you have a good life....

*Jiraiya said in some pathetic attempt to make himself feel better about this whole situation, he walked to Takeda Yoshie and gave her the basket, the late 50 woman looked at the little baby*

Takeda:does he have a name?

Jiraiya:yeah...Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki

*Takeda lifted her gaze but Jiraiya was already gone, she smiled as she gave little Naruto her finger to play with*

Takeda:don't worry Naruto you'll make lots of friends here I promise....
