Marinette:i said ok take me on a date, it'll be fun

*Marinette said smiling, Jason's brain needed a second to reboot since he expected a debate, an argument, something not this*

Jason:o...ok...

Now

*Marinette was in the zone doing another project, she was making a wedding dress for some client of her's. Nothing could distract her if they tried. And that was perfect for Jason right now as he was on the laptop looking for dates ideas*

Jason:oh this is perfect!!

*Jason screamed with a grin and again Marinette didn't so much as flinched, Jason grinned as her took the phone and called a restaurant*

Cal:hello  this i Michelle how can I help you?

*The man on the other line said with the mist thick and smug French accent Jason has ever heard*

Jason:yeah I would like to reserve a table for tonight under the name Jason Todd

*Jason got a bit annoyed when he heard the man most snooty snort*

Cal:sir there isn't anything available until the 24

Jason:great then set it up that's tomorrow right?

Cal:the 24 of next year shall I still "set it up" no? Fantastic please don't call here i can tell just by your tone that your no the kind of person we want at our establishment

*Cal hung up, Jason's eye started to twitch as he called someone else*

Tim:what do you need?

Jason:revenge I'll give you a Black Label by Devil Mountain a crate full

Tim:....what do you need?

Bruce:.....

*Bruce looked at Tim who was coincidentally looking somewhere else whistling with his hands on the back of his head*

Tim:lovely day isn't it?

Bruce: I can't believe that's all it takes to buy you off

Marinette:I can't believe I'm banned from having of that beautiful beautiful nectar

*Marinette mumbled with a huff. Tim gasped and looked at Jason for some explanation for this from against humanity. He just rolled his eyes*

Jason:love last time I had to chase you all over Paris and climb the Eiffel tower before the cops could arrest you you ain't a touching nothing

Tim:that's a small sacrifice for the strongest coffee ever made! This is an outrage!

Damian:your just upset because father threw away the crate when he found it

Tim:1 bag! I only got to have 1 bag!!

*While the two coffee lovers cried of there mutual misery Jason took over telling the tale*

Marinette: Michelle? You've got us a table at Michelle's?

Jason:yup, so get dolled up or don't. As a matter of fact don't, go like that so I can be smug about it with whoever was on that other line

*Jason said with a smirk, Marinette gave a playful scoff since what she was wearing now was a pair of baggy sweatpants and a matching grew sweater, her hair was all done in a messy bun*

Marinette:yeah like I'm gonna get caught dead outside like this 

Jason:why? You look so beautiful?

*Marinette was about to response until he saw Jason looking at her she saw no snarkiness behind his eyes no mocking or joking he was completely genuine, Marinette huffed with a blush and placed a finger on Jason's forehead*

Marinette:my god you're really enamored with me aren't you?

*Marinette said with a soft smile she gave a small yelp when Jason grabbed her and made her sit down on his lap facing him, on instinct Marinette wrapped her arms around his neck. Jason just smiled at her*

Jason: I am, I don't know what it is about you but...well I get angry rather easily but with you? I don't I'm calm I'm...I guess the closest thing I can describe it is happy you make me very happy and...

*Jason frees one of his hands and placed it on Marinette's belly his smile becoming a bit more wobbly*

Jason:this makes me very happy I'm gonna be a father, I'm gonna be a way better one then my old man ever was to me

Marinette:you...you never talk about him. You've told me some things about your adopted father how's he's an overprotective but at the same time a stubborn old man that doesn't have a clue how the real world works and has a stick so far up ......

Present

Bruce: you don't have to describe every detail you know

*Jason and Marinette looked at each other and then at Bruce smirking*

Jason/Marinette:yes we do

*Bruce rolled his eyes finding it childish and kinda endearing that they high 5 each other when they said that*

Back to the past

Marinette:so far up his bum that he can't even bend over

*Jason snorted at then, but then he looked another direction his lips slightly pursed*

Jason;my... biological father... I don't want to talk about him, hell I would rather forget about him all together. Benjamin has faults and our relationship is...strained but he's still twice the father Willis ever was, let's just leave it at that

Marinette:what about your mother

Jason: drug addict, dead, period

*Jason said quickly, too quickly for Marinette's liking as she wrapped her arms tighter Around him*

Marinette:the more you try to run from the past the more it has a hold on you Jayjay. Maybe we should consider getting you some therapy

*Jason hummed turned his face and gave Marinette a soft kiss on the lips*

Jason: maybe, but let's leave that for another day for now get ready for our first date

*Jason said with a small smile not knowing he just set himself up for one of the worst arguments he will ever have with his wife one day. Marinette smiled, that smile quickly became a smirk as she kept giving Jason small kisses*

Marinette;MH...what's the rush? I quite enjoy being like this

*Marinette said snuggling up on Jason's chest, Jason smiled softly and closed his eyes*

Jason:I guess... I guess a small nap couldn't hurt, couldn't hurt at all...

*Jason said with a yawn as husband and wife took a nap right there, Marinette since she was pregnant and her bundles of joy were sucking away a lot of energy, Jason? Well Jason's just a bum who likes to sleep*

Scene change

*Marinette and Jason were dressed to the mines, they were ready to paint the town red and have fun*

Jason:and in the end he was right I ended up falling and breaking my arm

*Marinette snorted and laughed as Jason showed the scar he had when the bone came out of his arm. They were having fun and on a date but they were on the marina eating hot dogs instead of Michelle*

Marinette:my god i can imagine how angry Benjamin would've been

Jason:eh he forgave me after a month, so finally gonna tell me why you didn't want to go inside that joint?

*Marinette sighed finishing her fish hotdog and looking out in to the ocean*

Marinette:my...my ex and Lila Rossi were there and I just didn't want to deal with them, sorry I know it must've cost you a lot

*Jason shrugged and hugged Marinette as they sat down on a bench*

Jason;nah it's fine, it doesn't affect me, you being happy and calm is much more important

Jason "also I used B's credit card"

Bruce:does anybody here not use my money for buying stuff?

*Marinette raised her hand with a cheeky smile*

Bruce: Marinette put your hand down

Marinette:sorry, I just felt bad for you, since not even Alfred raised his hand

*Bruce eyes widen and did a double take at Alfred who was drinking tea with a neutral face*

Alfred:problem sir?

Bruce:....I am so leaving everything to my grandchildren when I pass all of you won't see a nickel

Selina:yes yes you've told us that before love

*Selina said giving Bruce a kiss on the cheek, he sighed and waved his hand for Marinette to continue*

Marinette:I know but still you've spend so much time

Jason:the point of a date is to spend a good time with your partner, and I'm spending a great time with you Marinette I'm serious it's fine, those type of places aren't my thing anyway i only picked it since i thought you might like it

Marinette:hm, well maybe if it's a special occasion like a friend's party of uncle stone comes to visit, but for the most part I prefer things like this

*Marinette said resting her head on Jason's shoulder, Jason rested his head on her's and both just enjoyed the calming sounds of the wave of the English channel*

Jason:so this date was a success?

Marinette: well.... I'll give you a 7 out of 10

Jason:oh? Why 7

Marinette:Jayjay we're gonna have to stay in a hotel tonight since we're not in Paris we're in rouen, so yes a solid 7 next time make sure you check the restaurant was in Paris

*Marinette said with a fit a giggles Jason chuckled slightly embarrassed still for a first real date in a long time Jason did alright for himself. Jason scooted closer to Marinette putting his hand on her head, Marinette cuddled her head closer to his neck as they watched the sun set*
