*After that little part of the story Marinette needed a minute, it's been years but that memory still bothered her, so she excused herself to get a class of water, once alone the civilian family turned in to vigilante family*

Bruce: Jason tell me they're alive

*Jason gave a low growl as he crossed his arms*

Jason:as much as I want to and believe me there was nothing I wanted then to kill them all. They're alive, I'm not gonna compromise my life here just because I'm trigger happy old man

Tim:Jesus the hell is this?

*They all looked Tim had his phone out everyone knew why he had his phone out. Tim turned his phone and everyone looked, it was a garbage gossip website filled with the "amazing" things Lila has done like "Lila Rossi modern day saint" "Lila Rossi gives money to orphanage" "Lila rossi helping the homeless" "lila Rossi friends with MDC" and multiple horrible questions about Marinette like "did Marinette steal her designs from Lila?" "Did Marinette even graduate?" "Does Marinette support children labor?" , the sight made Jason mad and sick to his stomach as he gave a hollow chuckle*

Jason:yeah....that would be that bitch alya Cesaire

Bruce:why are there articles about you and jail?

Jason:never went but she's had it out of me since I punched her so hard I broke one of her tooth.

*Jason said grinning rubbing his knuckles*

Bruce:you did what?!

*As Jason and Bruce started to bicker no one noticed Selina walking to the direction Marinette went to*

With Selina

*Selina smiled at the children running to play outside, and made it to Marinette's room, she knocked on the opened door*

Selina:coming in

*Marinette jumped in surprise hiding her little secret*

Selina: I'm guessing your hiding the chocolate from the children

*Marinette blush a little and scratched her cheek*

Marinette:i want to say yes....this is Jason's favorites brand and I told him we ran out

Selina:your secret safe with me, of course my mouth doesn't stay shut for free~

*Marinette chuckled softly breaking a piece for Selina, Selina sat down next to her and ate the piece*

Selina:MH, i can tell why these are Jason's favorite these are Devine

Marinette:of course, because it doesn't taste like wax like your American chocolates

Selina:hm, how are you feeling?

*Marinette flinched almost chocking on her bite as she looked at Selina who had a calm smile on her face*

Marinette:Jason is right, you really are one of those put it all out there people

Selina:I don't appreciate beating around the bush or when other people do that.....unless I'm the one doing it then it's ok

*A giggle escaped Marinette's lips as she didn't notice Selina breaking another piece for herself*

Marinette:then I guess that's something we have in common.... I'm doing ok, really. I just.... I just get emotional remembering that time in my life

*Marinette said rubbing her wrist, Selina saw that and didn't have to ask to know what she was implying*

Selina: must've been hard...

Marinette:it was, but we all must face heartbreak in order to truly appreciate the joys of life

Selina:hm, such a pure soul how did Jason ever get so lucky ?

Marinette:oh believe me I'm the lucky one, without Jason I wouldn't have all this

Selina:your a successful woman I'm sure you could've get this house without him, didn't you say he was a stay in home husband?

Marinette:no no, I mean my children, I mean this happiness I....your messing with me aren't you?

*Selina shrugged giving Marinette a cat like grin*

Selina:sorry your just too cute not to tease~

Marinette:hm, but I'm fine really just a little emotional

Selina:I get that, I've been in your shoes more then I care to admit, one thing I've learned is to always have someone next to you just to keep you company

Marinette:god i could've used that so long ago, Until Kagami came back I didn't feel like I had any friends I could rely on like that, who did you have?

Selina:oh, I always made sure Bruce kept me company, feeling a little better?

Marinette:yeah, just needed a break from it all, I mean it's a long story, a good one but there moments i wish I could forget

*Selina got up and grabbed Marinette's hands lifting her up"

Selina: well, when you reach one of those moments again, give me a signal and I'll distract them to give you some time to breath

*Marinette gave a small smile of appreciation as they both walked back to see a grumpy Bruce and Jason, and Alfred at the tail end of his lecture to the real children of the house*

Alfred:both of you are adults act like it you are being terrible role models for the children right now. Understand that you have different ways of seeing things and respect that

Bruce:he's way is barbaric

Jason:at least I'm not living in a fantasy like you old man

*Both of them flinched when something horrible happened, Alfred's eyebrow lowered slightly*

Alfred:shake hands now.

*Both reluctantly got up and shook each other's hands without looking at each other and sat back down. Marinette and Selina sat down on there respected partners lap to calm there little ego's down*

Marinette:so after....that little episode

Bárbara: before that I didn't get the chance since the boy toy of the two of you started arguing but Marinette that's just horrible, I'm so sorry if you ever need to talk

*Marinette waved her hand dismissively giving Barbara a smile, it held some sadness behind it but not a lot*

Marinette:it's fine, I know other people had it worse then me, and no I'm not denying my pain like my husband i understand that my pain matters but, all of that? Is in the past I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children's I think that was God rewarding me for overcoming such a challenge, to have someone as wonderful as Jason in my life

*Marinette said cuddling closer to her hubby who gave her a soft smile and looked down at her with a look Bruce only seen Selina give her jewelry, as if the thing was the most precious thing on earth*

Jason:ejem, so after that I woke up first with one thing in my mind

Jason"i have to take Marinette on a date"

*Jason said with determination behind his eyes completely missing that he was burning the eggs. Until the smell reached his nose. He cursed under his breath and tried to saved them*

Marinette:MH....jayjay? What's that smell?

*Marinette said yawning, Jason cursed again under his breath as he turned around to face Marinette*

Jason:s..sorry I must be having an off day, I uh...burned the eggs and.... Is that my superman shirt?

*Marinette grew a small blush as she scratched her cheek*

Marinette:... it's comfy...and I don't want to stretch my clothes so....

Jason:well I did burn your breakfast I guess my shirt is just the price to pay for that

*Marinette gave Jason a chased kissed on the lips as she walked passed him and grabbed a cereal box*

Marinette:thank you, let's just have cereal I don't need a fancy breakfast every morning

Jason:no but a pixie like you deserve one every morning your a Princess it's the least you deserve

*Marinette sat down at the counter as Jason grabbed the cereal box and started serving Marinette*

Marinette: Jason you've seen me hugging the head of the toilet when our little bundle of joy starts acting up. I'm no princess

Jason:yeah I guess your right, your so much prettier then a princess

*Jason said placing the bowl in front of her with a smile, Marinette just blushed and hid her smile with her hand*

Marinette:gods your Corny...

Jason:you love it

*Both ate there bowl of cereal in relative calmness, having the smallest of smalltalks. At the end Jason was washing the dishes while Marinette looked at him from behind, at his tone back since he had yet to put a shirt on much to Marinette's pleasure i mean distraction*

Marinette:so what got you so distracted that you burned the quail eggs?

Jason:oh, I uh...was kinda thinking about where to take you on a date

Marinette: a date? Why would...oh Jason ignore what I told you yesterday, those were just the hormones

Jason:well hormone you told the truth. I....I don't know what we are, yes we're married but that's for the kid, I want it to be more then just for the child. I want it to be for us too, I can't do that if I don't pull my weight in this relationship and... I've been doing a crappy job about it

Marinette:cooking for me, making sure I take care of myself, stopping me from overworking, calming me,...relieving my stress, being patient, loving, caring, not judging me. Yes you've been just horrible as a partner

Jason:your giving me too much credit

*Jason felt Marinette's hand on his shoulder and her lips on his cheek*

Marinette:no, you don't give yourself enough credit you have this out of insecurities but believe me. Your doing a wonderful job as my husband

*Jason didn't know how to react to Marinette's loving positive treatment of him, feeling as if someone like him couldn't be that good, couldn't deserve such kindness

Marinette:gee I wonder why?

*Marinette said giving a smiling glare at Bruce who squirmed a little*

Back to the past

*So Jason did the only logical thing he could think off, he doubled down*

Jason:.....I'm still taking you on a date since....

Marinette:ok.

Jason:...what?

Marinette:i said ok take me on a date, it'll be fun

*Marinette said smiling, Jason's brain needed a second to reboot since he expected a debate, an argument, something not this*

Jason:o...ok...
