*Kori closed the door and walked back to the living room looking embarrassed*

Kori:i am so sorry about what happened i don't know what got in to him

Jason:i told y'all he couldn't take a joke

*Jason said as Alfred gave him a bag of ice for his now black eye. Marinette took it and gently placed it on his eye making Jason wince slightly but still smile in appreciation*

Tim;to be fair he only gets like that when you insult Abba

Damian:how disgraceful

*They all felt a chill and looked at Marinette who was getting angry*

Marinette: he's lucky Kori got to him first or else i would've made him in to one ugly woman for hurting my husband

*Marinette muttered radiating a dark aura that quickly disappeared when Jason kissed her cheek, she still had an angry expression but it was hard to take her seriously when she was blushing and pouting*

Barbara:don't let it get to Marinette this is actually normal for our family is that a good or bad thing i don't know

Selina:sadly she's right although I'm surprised the golden child was the one who did it normally it's Tim and Damian

*Tim smiled awkwardly since he is the one that usually throws the first punch, while Damian scoffed indignantly*

Damian;i take offense to that why would I waste my time fighting this...

*Bruce said in a calm tone by it was filled with authority, Marinette gave a small snort as even Jason's back got a little straight from instincts*

Bruce:it's bad enough dick decided to act like a child I'm not gonna have you two start as well, especially when we are guests. Marinette i apologize for my son's behavior....again

Marinette:I'm guessing you have to do that a lot Mr. Wayne

*Bruce took a long and tired sighed looking at all his adopted children before looking at Marinette with a tired smile*

Bruce:you have no idea, gala's are a nightmare when everyone comes

Marinette:like the one that happened last year? It was all over the news

*Marinette said it a fit of giggles while bruce groaned since that was one that Tim decided it would be a good idea to prank Damian*

Jason:god I'm disappointed i missed that one, my favorite part was when Damian was chasing Tim around with his sword and dick was behind Damian trying to stop him

Marinette:and then he slip and fell right on the chocolate fountain! Oh that poor white suit never stood a chance

*A few members of the family joined in on the laughter expect for Tim who was whistling away looking at the window, Damian who just clicked his tongue looking slightly embarrassed and Bruce who was busy glaring at Tim and Damian. Damian fake coughed to get there attention*

Damian:that's enough focusing on the past. Instead lets focus on the past, this... Jasonette past

Marinette: Jasonette? Aw what a cute name for us

Jason:I'm shocked that demon spawn was the one who came up with it

Marinette:oh come now he's no demon he's a sweetheart look at him

*Damian's blush grew bigger as he was the one entertaining the children. Jason rolled his eyes with a smirk*

Jason;you should see him when someone wears real fur he almost killed that old lady

Damian:i did not kill her i simply wanted to show her why wearing an endangered animal's fur is a bad idea

Marinette:i couldn't agree with you more, if i was there i would skin her alive and see how she likes it

*Damian nodded in agreement happy that finally someone was seeing the truth and he was in the right*

Bruce:speaking of the gala, it would be an honor of you would come next year

Marinette:oh i would love to, and Jason stop making that face we're going

Jason:but honey those things are soooo boring!

Marinette:i know but it will be a fantastic way to get connections for my business. You know the business that allows you to be a stay at home dad and be the lazy patato i love?

Jason:....i hate it when you use that against me

*Marinette just smiled innocently as if she doesn't used that little guilt trip all the time*

Marinette:we would be honored to go I'll make some new clothes for me and jayjay oh i can already see all the connections

Jason:anyway while Marinette is stuck in her own world thinking on what kind of outfit she'll make lets continue. After i filmed dick's video and i lied about deleting it Alfred like he always does appeared behind us and insisted that i stayed for dinner.....

Flashback

*It was a quiet dinner the only sound that could be heard was the silverware clicking and clacking against each other. The food was...fine it wasn't bad, anything Alfred makes it's always delicious but it just didn't hit the same for Jason and at the time he couldn't tell you why*

Bruce:Jason?

Jason:yeah?

*Jason asked not really paying attention as his heart was beating faster his foot wouldn't become still*

Bruce:did you not hear me?

Jason: probably not, what did you ask?

Bruce:i asked how did the mission go?

Jason:the mission....it was interesting definitely interesting but it was a success

Bruce:good and also..

Jason:excuse me i need to make a call

*Jason got up and walked as fast as he could to outside he took his phone out and called Marinette*

Phone:ring....ring....ring....

Jason:come on come on pick up....

Phone:ring....ring....ring...

Marinette:mh...hello?

Jason: Marinette! Marinette how are you? Did you eat? Did you remember to take a break? How are you feeling

Marinette:......Jason where do i live?

Jason:uh? What?

Marinette:i asked where.do.i.live.?

Jason;Paris France what does that has to do with anything?

Marinette:gods i hope our baby gets my brains. Your in Gotham yes? You do realize there's a 6 hour time difference correct? It's 3 in the forsaken morning Jason

*Jason winced slightly as he could feeling Marinette's anger through the phone*

Jason:.....i love you?

*Jason said at some desperate attempt for Marinette to not be mad at him just utterly pathetic. Yes so pathetic that only someone so weak willed would fall for such a brave attempt......and sadly it worked on Marinette*

Marinette:i.....i love you too Jayjay. Did you eat?

*Marinette said, Jason could hear her moving on the bed to be in a sitting position as he tested his back to the door*

Jason:i was actually in the middle of dinner when i just couldn't handle it and had to call you

Marinette:why?

Jason:guess...guess i was nervous something might happen. God what's wrong with me i swear I'm not this clingy

Marinette:it's fine i kinda like it. And there's nothing wrong with you being like this jay your just worried about me and our child it's just proof of what a good parent you'll be

Jason: I'll settle with just not being a bad one

Marinette:you won't be i trust you so trust yourself. And to answer your question yes i ate Kagami made sure i ate enought food for 4 i swear i was so close on puking on her

*Jason snorted without realizing it they talk for a full hour until Jason heard Marinette's cute snoring. Cute breathing since Marinette doesn't snore. Extremely cute snoring that Jason has on tape, he hung up and went back inside seeing everyone already gone for there own work, except for Alfred who was busy making himself tea*

Alfred:would you like a cup Jason?

Jason:i could really use one yes thank you

Alfred:I'll make you a sandwich while I'm at it

Jason:thanks Al sorry about just leaving your food like that it...it was an emergency

Alfred:I've worked for this family for decades Jason i completely understand now chamomile or ear grey?

Jason: chamomile i need to calm my nerves

Alfred; something you would like to talk about ? Maybe take out your chest?

Jason:nah, just my security job you know how that place makes me and of course there's B constant complaints that i have to deal with

Alfred:quite, just know that what he does he does out of love

Jason: doesn't make it any less annoying

Alfred:now i never said it wasn't annoying now did i?

*Jason chuckled as he took the sandwich and ate it just happy to have a few moments alone with his grandfather*
