1 Do you believe featuring in meet the authors has helped you as a writer?
I think it has. Being Featured means that my book has potential, so I need to do everything I can to keep improving it. Every story has its strengths and weaknesses. My confidence has improved, and now I am very excited to write every day.
2. What genre do you like to read?
Fantasy is my all-time favorite genre to read and write. I love getting lost in Fantasy worlds and enduring magic, secrets, and adventures. A lot of Fantasy books have just these things, and they are a lot of fun to work with.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've received on wattpad?
The best piece of advice I've received is "Patience is key." Writing is a process. Nobody writes a bestseller in one go. It needs to be thoroughly edited and re-written before it can really go far. I have some projects that I have been working on for ten years now, and they are still not ready for the publishing world. Therefore, the best thing I can do is keep being patient. One day my books will get published.
4. Are your stories on any of platforms? (Instagram, twitter, amazon ect)
I have stories on Inkitt and Quotev, as well as Archive of Our Own and Fanfiction.net. Wattpad is where my best stories are, and Quotev is where I store all my stories (the best and worst ones).
5. Do you believe being a part of the wattpad community has helped you as a writer?
Yes, being part of Wattpad has helped me tremendously. There are so many wonderful opportunities for authors here: including awards, graphic shops, editing shops, review shops, etc. which is what I need in order to keep improving. Quotev and Inkitt do not have these opportunities, so Wattpad is very special to me.
6. What's one story (on or off wattpad) that you would recommend someone read?
I highly recommend Royal Cliché by @AlphaLover15 here on Wattpad. She is a very talented writer, and Royal Cliché-though based off an Old-World cliché-has its own unique twist that makes it enjoyable to read. I fell in love with the main characters, and I'm sure her other readers will too.
7. How is your latest story going?
My latest story, The Green Guardian, can be a pain at times, but it's going very well. I'm still in its early stages and brainstorming things. The story itself is so much fun to write, with its allure of Fantasy and Mystery. I just finished the first part. My dream is to one day enter her in The Wattys and get her published. As I mentioned before, I just need to be patient.
8. Do you believe interview platforms, clubs, contests, and organization accounts on wattpad are a useful tool for new writers?
Yes! I totally agree that interview platforms, clubs, contests, and organization accounts are useful. We all strive to be better writers, and the best way to do that is to connect with others who also love to read and write. We can't write a perfect novel all by ourselves; we need help. Every story has its strengths and weaknesses. This is where awards, reviews, and clubs come in handy.
9 As a writer, do you think it is wise to write in more than one genre?
This is an interesting question. I think it's a good idea to try different genres. That will help you discover which genre is best suited for you. I've tried writing Science Fiction, Fantasy, Short Stories, Romance, and Werewolf, but at the end of the day... Fantasy is my greatest strength. I think it depends on the author. If you want to write in different genres, go ahead. Nobody will judge you. At the same time, it's perfectly okay to stick to just one genre as well, as long as your stories aren't mirror images of one another.
