Explanation 

Start:Roxy is an avatar of the Slaughter,his medallion was given to show that he was loyal,when Roxy was a human his parents were brutally murdered by his older brother through decapitation,after he was arrested for the murder Roxy was put in a orphanage for like two years because he was adopted by an unknown elderly woman.

Centre/Demon form: Roxy became an avatar of the Slaughter in the early 1500s,this made him lose some of his humanity and sanity gaining a lust for human bodies(which is unrelated to the Slaughter),He later became a demon at some point after being shot by a poacher who was hunting deer.

I'm not able to say the rest because I haven't written out the second character in Roxy's story yet-
