13 - Phantom Lorde.
WARNING : BAD LANGUAGE USED
Gajeel's POV
"Why the fuck would Sol do this?!" I yelled, unaware that I was frightening the staff. "Whoever he's working with, I swear I'll have their heads!"
"Sir Redfox sir-"
"Shut up!" I snapped, sending the scared maid scurrying off.
The rest of the staff had divided opinion. One half was shaking, literally shaking. They were scared and hiding behind the other half who were used to my sudden outbursts. They were the ones who had seen my reaction when Levy was first abducted.
"This is the second time, where's Wendy?!" Realising that Wendy offered to look after Levy, I asked the staff where the girl was.
"M-Miss Marvell suffered a hit to her head, she was found in Mrs Redfox's hospital bed earlier this morning."
"Is she alright?" Pure concern filled my thoughts, although I trusted Wendy when she said that she could fend for herself, I was unsure how badly she had been hit if she had to protect Levy at the same time.
"She is resting at her home, she had a minor concussion."
I grabbed my coat and swiftly left the manor, my lips tugged upwards when I heard the familiar padding of PantherLily's paws on the floor beside me. The echoes of his paws hitting the ground were much louder than usual.
It was safe to say that both of us were pissed off.
"How could they hit Wendy? She's not even 20 yet..." I grumbled, swearing under my breath that when I found them I'd beat them up for Levy first, then for Wendy.
__________________________
Wendy's home was smaller than mine, much smaller. Whilst my estate had four gardens (excluding the secret one on the roof), an indoor swimming pool, and a bar. The rooms were large and held majestic portraits of her and her mother, her father had passed away several years before due to an airborne virus which he had caught on a trip to help sick people outside of Fiore.
When I entered her home I was greeted by some maids who weren't looking too happy.
"Sir Redfox," one began, "Lady Wendy is unwell, we fear she may suffer memory loss."
"Let me see her." I said in a gruff voice.
"...of course."
Unlike what the maid told me, Wendy seemed to be doing fine. She was awake and was reading a book.
"Your maid told me that you were probably suffering memory loss."
"Was that Chelia? She worries too much." The small girl stretched her arms and frowned. "I'm alright, she just didn't want me to get swarmed by people she doesn't know."
"Why?"
"She's overprotective, like a sister though. So a good sort of protective." She turned to face me. "I take it that you're here about Levy."
"You said you'd look after her, what happened?" I asked, unaware of the despair in my voice. As well as my voice sounding awful, I looked it too. My hair was messy, there were dark circles under my eyes and my suit was less than presentable. I doubt that Wendy was happy with my state, she always worried about my health when no one else did... Aside from Levy.
"I'm sorry," She said quietly, "He came in, saying he was one of your most faithful servants. I recognized him too-,"
"Was it Sol?" I growled.
"I can't remember his name, can you describe Sol?"
"Dark green hair, weird moustache, wears a small monocle and a brown suit."
She shook her head. "No, he had a weird moustache... He looked old." Scratching her chin, she closed her eyes as she tried to recall any distinguishing features about the kidnapper, or Levynapper.
"His hair colour?" I suggested.
"Dark... Red. Same with his eyebrows and moustache.."
"What did his nose look like?"
It may sound like a stupid question, but had she not told me this then I never would have guessed.
"Pointy, his face!" Wendy exclaimed. "It seemed like a light violet colour, and he had a tattoo on him like this." She asked for a pen and paper so I passed her the small journal on her bedside table along with a pen. She drew a familiar shape, followed by the final piece of the strange puzzle.
"Josef." I breathed.
"Josef?" She repeated, then her small brown eyes widened. "Oh, no."
I slammed my fist on my leg. "That -"
Wendy coughed.
"Never mind."
There was a knock at the door and Wendy called out for the person to enter.
"Merci, mademoiselle."
I jumped up at the sound of Sol's voice. My fists clenched and my knuckles were turning white, unlike my face which I knew had turned red with rage.
"No need for violence Sir Redfox." Sol mocked. "I only came to tell you of the deal we have for you."
"Oh yeah? My fists have a deal with you, to give you a black eye."
"I'll have to pass," Sol sighed. "I assume that you already know who we are, hm?"
"Phantom Lorde."
"Oui, and you need to know our deal."
Before I could do or say anything, Wendy had coughed loud enough to stop us both.
"Mr Sol, I would prefer it if we were able to ask you some questions before you give us your 'proposal'."
His monocle gleamed.
"Why of course Lady Marvell." After briefly clearing his throat, he continued to speak. "What is it you wish to know?"
"Is she alright?" I blurted out.
"Miss McGarden is perfectly fine, she is breathing and alive."
"That's a trick answer." I snarled. "Is she uninjured?"
Sol's eyes flashed with wickedness, "Gajeel, you never fail to amaze me. If you must know, she has not yet woken up. No injuries have been inflicted on your 'wife'." He air quoted the word wife.
"What do I need to do to get her back?"
"Well, that leads on to the deal of ours." He drew out an envelope from his blazer and handed it to me. "Read."
"You forgot please." Wendy piped up.
"Si vous plait?" He reluctantly added.
"Right then." I took the letter from him and opened it. Once the writing was visible, I read it knowing that Levy was with them and I had to see this deal to know how to get her back.
"Gajeel?"
"Hush he's reading."
"You... You're the ones who wanted the Draco Valle picture? Not Rogue?"
"I'll allow Master Josef to explain that for you."
"Huh?"
Sol grinned. "Sign the letter and I can take you there next Saturday evening."
That's a week away. Those bastards, they intend to get stronger so that they can intimidate me.
I bit back so many words I wanted to yell and by gripping the letter as if it was Sol's throat I was able to stay somewhat calm.
"Fine. But I know how to get there, I've obviously been there before."
Sol bowed then handed me the same pen Wendy used to draw the Phantom Lorde symbol. I signed the paper and handed it back to him.
Sol then left without saying anything else. But before he could grab the door handle, I bellowed;
"After this, you leave me alone. You leave Juvia alone, and most of all you leave Levy alone. We are not involved in your stupid games anymore."
He nodded and said, "It'll be boring without you Gajeel. But I'm sure we'll find a new plaything." Then he exited the room leaving Wendy and I in silence.
Wendy waited for a moment before asking what the letter said. At first I didn't want to tell her, but then what harm could it do?
"They want to take the Draco Valle in order to show it to my father; if he wakes up. Then after they've humiliated me, they plan to give Levy back to me." Running a hand through my hair, I couldn't help but let out a shaky breath.
"I knew it."
"What?"
Wendy smiled. "You do love her. It may be a fake marriage on paper, but within your hearts it's the truth." She crossed her arms. "And you know it!"
"...Of course I know it. I'm the one who fell for her dammit." Wendy giggled at my comment and gave me a thumbs up.
"I support it, wait... What do people say when they ... They... Oh!" She pointed her finger at me. "I ship it!"
"Be ready at seven tomorrow alright? I'll be needing a medic with me. It's gonna be one hell of a fight if I get my way."
"H-How do you know where you'll meet? Did it say on the letter?"
Isn't it obvious?
"He'll be there. At the graveyard."
"Oh," was all Wendy could manage.
I stood up an made my way to the door when she stopped me.
"Where are you going?"
Turning around, she gasped as my mouth formed into a devilish smile and my crimson red eyes gleamed.
"For reinforcements."

Levy's POV
It was so dark.
I was floating in a state of nothingness, I think at least.
There was absolutely nothing but darkness. And myself of course. However, I could hear the occasional voices. They'd say things like "how is she?" and "do you think he'll actually come?"
How many days had passed? I didn't know. Like I said, I only saw darkness.
As well as the voices floating around with me, there was another voice - a different voice - which kept calling my name; but it wasn't 'Levy'. I remembered my name, what I looked like and one or two people.
A girl called Lucy, another girl called Mira-Jane and... this other girl whose name I couldn't recall.
But the voice was too low and too male to be any of theirs.
Did it belong to the guy who the other voices were talking about?
I thought so, but... I didn't know what he looked like.
Who is he...

3rd Person POV
Whilst Levy was stuck with her kidnappers and Wendy was in her home, Gajeel made his way towards the place he knew he could get help.
Another large house, a villa rather, was stood at the top of a hill in the more secluded part of Magnolia. The gates stretched out for what seemed miles, and they stood seven feet tall.
As Gajeel pressed on the intercom button, he gritted his teeth as the cocky voice crackled through the speakers.
"Heeeeeeeeeeello! This is none other than my glorious abode! What do you need wanderer?"
"Drop the act," somehow the impatient man had grown more impatient. "I need to come in, and talk business."
"It's been a while since we've spoken business wise." The intercom went silent for a moment. "How bad is this? Bad enough for the cavalry or do you just need me?"
"That's for you to decide."
"Hit me with it."
"Okay then, I can do it in two words."
"Wow, a short story? Now this I've got to hear."
"Phantom Lorde."
The intercom went dead again until the voice spoke again.
"I'll get the cavalry."
"Do you think you can get everyone?"
"...Why, how bad is it?"
"Let's just say that they've got Mrs Redfox, Levy."
"What weaponry?" The other voice asked within a second after hearing Gajeel's response.
The gang leader grinned and chuckled.
"All of it of course."

???'s POV
Once Gajeel had left, I stormed through the hallways until I reached the small office in the west wing of the villa. Some paintings fell off the walls due to my anger being shown by the way my feet slammed on the floor, the vibrations were enough to make a vase fall too. I didn't care.
If you mess with one Fairy,
You mess with all of us.
And that, is a fact.

WELL THEN! I hope this has been a good chapter to make up for the time I've not been updating! SORRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY!
You know when life just decides to be a horrid thing and hands you so many things you don't want? Yup, I'm going through that.
Why? Well, my friends are being awful (could you even call them friends, IDK), I'm giving my dog away (and I've had him for 8 years so it feels like I'm dying), and my sister being patronizing.
For those who aren't suffering any of these things right now, have a good day.
For people suffering something like I am, I hope life gets better for you.
'Cause it hasn't gotten better for me.
