Natasha the Ninja
It wasn't often, but occasionally Emmett could get Natasha to run some obstacles.

She was pretty good at the balance obstacles but had some trouble when it came to the more upper body ones.

Emmett likes to say it's because she has to keep her balance in her jet. Just the slightest shift could spell disaster in the air.

But because she would train, when they had their special military days at the gym, Natasha tended to crush it.

She had to admit, depending on who came in, it was quite fun to see their egos slowly deflate, realizing they are no longer the best.

(And yes, most of the time this is directed at Hangman, but he has gotten better over time.)

It was also fun for her to watch some of the kids absolutely crush the adults when it comes to the obstacles.

Even Genevieve was a beast at certain obstacles, even if she gave Natasha a heart attack on each and every one.

Overall, it was a fun day whenever Emmett got Natasha to run some in the gym and it was always entertaining.

Liam and Nat
Natasha had quickly become essentially Liam's older sister the moment they had met.

Not only did Nat truly care about what he was interested in, but she showed genuine interest in his wellbeing.

Emmett had always been a mix of an older brother and a father, so there was always a sense of responsibility. He was never free to just be an older brother.

So having Natasha, who was free to be an older sister was refreshing.

Liam could come to her with problems he was having, talk to her about things he couldn't say to Emmett.

Hell, she was the first one Liam told about qualifying for Olympic trials.

In return, Natasha gained the younger brother she never had. Yes, she had a sister, but two sisters were always different from a brother.

Natasha got someone who she could tease and would tease her back. Someone who would always have her back and protect her without question.

Emmett changed many lives the day he and Natasha met.

The best of which included his daughter and brother.

Genevieve's Adoption
When Gena had turned ten, she knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday.

Natasha had been in her life since she was two and was the only mother she had ever known.

So Gen talked to her father, who was understably emotional, and they got the paperwork together.

So on Genevieve's birthday, after she had opened all her presents, she had one for Natasha.

Natasha was confused at first, after all, why was Gen giving her a gift?

But when she opened it, tears immediately sprung to her eyes.

"Are you certain? You want this?"

Genevieve could only nod, crying herself.

Emmett, when Gen had told him she wanted Natasha to adopt her, had gone through all the paperwork. And he had reached out to Genevieve's biological mother, to discuss this with her.

She would need to sign away any and all parental rights she still had over Genevieve in order for Natasha to adopt her.

And in all honesty, it wasn't hard. As much as it sucked, her bio mom didn't want her. It's the reason she had no problem with Emmett raising her however he wanted. She just happened to fall pregnant and didn't want the baby. So she signed away the last of her rights, only requesting that Natasha continue to love Genevieve the way she never could.

So, just before Genevieve turned eleven, with her younger sister by her side, she was legally adopted by the only mom she had ever known.

Natasha and Genevieve had always been mother and daughter.

Now it was just official.
