The second day of Emmett's outreach program was just as successful as the first day.

The kids were loving it, and the parents were more relaxed than the day before.

Austin and Flip were with the older kids, giving them a little bit more of a challenge while Tiana and Addy were with the youngest group, Genevieve being their little assistant.

Emmett and Adam had the middle range of kids while Liam was keeping the ones waiting occupied with some impromptu surfing lessons. (On land of course.)

But Liam had another mission on his hands.

He had gotten a text message from Natasha early that morning, informing him that the mission had been a success and that they were on their way home.

When he asked why she was telling him and not her boyfriend, she explained that she wanted to surprise him and keep his focus on his program.

So Liam was periodically keeping her updated on what was happening and the events taking place.

Luckily, he didn't have to wait much longer because Natasha had just told him they were back on base and that she would be arriving shortly.

What he wasn't aware of was that the rest of the team had been hearing about this program and wanted to check it out as well. So, the entire detachment was going to be showing up in support.

A few cars pulled up to the beach, no one really paying any mind to them. And because it's also a semi-military event, no one cared that these new arrivals were dressed in uniforms.

It was only when a small voice cried out that people realized these weren't just any new arrivals.

"Mommy!"

Emmett turned around so fast he nearly fell over, but he was able to catch Genevieve sprinting like her life depended on it straight towards Natasha.

Natasha, in turn, was also running towards her daughter, lifting her up and squeezing her tightly. She didn't even have a second to rebalance herself before Emmett came crashing to the two of them, holding both of his girls.

When Natasha was finally able to move, she gave Emmett a kiss to end all kisses. Both were just glad she was safe and home. But Genevieve couldn't let them have it all.

She began to press her own sloppy kisses on Nat's cheeks, resulting in laughter from the two adults.

Liam, finally spotting his chance, came up to his family as well, getting his own hug in. "Thank you," she whispered into his ear.

He gave her a brotherly kiss on the cheek. "No problem."

Everyone on that beach had stopped the moment they heard Gena's shout, all of them smiling at the heartwarming reunion. Emmett's fellow Ninjas knew exactly how stressed he had been, and, having known Natasha personally, they were all glad she was home as well.

Emmett stepped back, only slightly, from his girlfriend to look back at the rest of the mission team. "Everyone good? No losses?"

They had unanimously agreed on the way over to not mention the whole 'Maverick and Rooster' incident until they were in a more private area. So the answer was, "Yeah, we're all good."

Hangman, still running on his high from yesterday's mission, looks out over the obstacle courses. "We've been hearing about this all week, figured we'd check it out."

Emmett gestured to the courses, which his friends had gotten back on track. "Be my guest. Although right now they are all set for the kids, we can definitely run all of you through them later."

A few of the aviators jumped at the chance while others had to be goaded into it. Hell, even Maverick said he's do a run.

Genevieve had decided she was staying with Natasha, adamantly refusing to let go of the woman, so Emmett had to continue on without her.

With a renewed sense of energy and life, Emmett ran his program until the last possible minute. And although it was only a two day event, many of the kids and even some of the parents wanted to continue. So Emmett had plenty of new people that would be frequenting his gym or another gym around the country in due time.

After everyone had left and all that remained was the Mission team, Emmett issued the challenge.

"Anyone want to try?"

Of course, Hangman and Coyote were the first two up, and they failed in spectacular fashion. After the days they had had, everyone was practically collapsing onto the sand in laughter.

Fanboy ran next, and with a little bit of coaxing, so did Payback. Bob was a staunch no, although he was cheering from the sidelines.

Rooster, having done a few obstacles previously, was the most successful, but the others claimed he had an unfair advantage.

At some point after his run, while they were standing around watching Maverivk attempt this course, Bradley had turned to Emmett.

“Natasha is one of my best friends. I've never seen her as happy as she is with you.”

And it was true. He had known Natasha long before she and Emmett had met. And there had always been a noticeable difference when she was with Emmett opposed to when she wasn't.

Emmett could only thank Bradley. He had been there for Natasha when Emmett couldn't be, and friendships like that were hard to come by.

The most interesting part of the night was watching the actual Ninja's run the obstacles because it was clear they were all having fun.

It was also abundantly clear that none of them were truly giving it their all but were still beating the aviators by miles.

(It was definitely a hit to some egos.)

The only other person to not run was Natasha, but that was more so for Genevieve. She had been so tired from the past two days that she had fallen asleep in Nat's arms and had a death grip around her neck.

Natasha had had to sit down at some point because Gena became a deadweight when she was asleep.

Emmett, as always, was in awe of her. She had truly changed his life when they met.

Never in a million years had he thought he would ever find someone who could love him, with all of his misgivings and mistakes, but also love his daughter all the same.

Whenever they told their story, people would say they had a meet cute, and honestly, Emmett couldn't disagree.

Because what happened and the past four years had been nothing short of a fairytale.
