How do you stop loving someone?
Hey, guys. This entry is going to be a bit of a drabble/short story. I wrote this a couple years ago I think, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Keep in mind that it's not edited.
How do you stop loving someone? That's the question I ask myself. On days like this one, when the sky is a dazzling blue, clouds are slowly rolling across the sky, the sun warms my skin just enough to sigh in contentment, and the grass underneath me tickles my face; a perfect day, I ask myself this question. The answer I always come up with is that you can't. Once you start loving someone, you are dragged in. There's no way out.
People are always saying you just have to move on. I say, easier said than done. They make it sound so easy. Leaving isn't an option because it hurts to love, and yet staying isn't an option because it hurts too.
What do you do when you love someone who doesn't love you back? Do you tell them and risk losing them? Or do you keep quiet and suffer quietly? But more importantly, do you stay or do you go?
I wonder this as I lay in the grass in the perfect place, on the perfect day. A soft breeze blows and it tickles my face. I open my eyes and stare at the sky. People don't do that often enough, look at the sky. On days like today, the way it stretches infinitely and it's calming blue make problems like these seem so small and far away I feel foolish. Then I close my eyes and they all come rushing back. Open and everything goes away, close and everything is too close. Open, close. Open, close.
Then I get up, brush myself off, and walk away from the perfect place and the perfect day because nothing is really perfect. And I walk away from that question because it's not my problem anyway.
I know. This book suddenly got kind of deep. I have a small announcement to make here for those of you who read my two stories, Dragon Boy and Princess & Torn. Unfortunately because this last week has been a mess of tests, presentations, and homework, as well as the fact that all of next week is my finals week, I won't be able to upload a new chapter. I am so sorry for this, and I honestly never meant to keep you guys in suspense this long. So please forgive me. I'm going to try to find some time to write the chapters this weekend, but it may not be possible, so please hang in there a bit longer. I will announce this in the actual stories so those that don't read this can know, but I just wanted to say here.
Otherwise, to keep you guys entertained, I thought it would be cool to post some of the works I've done for my English class on here since we've done quite a bit of creative writing on here. What do you guys think?
Alright, thanks for reading and I'll see you guys next time! Ja ne!
