Hello, everyone! Because I honestly can't take it anymore waiting for another episode I've decided to present to you a rising star in the anime world: Darling in the Franxx.

So I started this anime because I didn't want to fall back into that zone where I want to watch an anime but I'm too lazy to actually start one. You're not sucked in per say at the first episode but you're definitely intrigued enough to follow through. It's basically made in a way that doesn't like it's hooking you, but you become obsessed without realizing it. 

So for those who haven't read it, let me give you guys a small summary with no spoilers really.

It's set in the future where everyone lives in protected mobile stations called plantations. When humanity started using magma energy, strange monsters called klaxosaurs started appearing and in order to fight against them, society has trained children from very young to form boy/girl couples in order to pilot a machine called a FRANXX. The story starts off with one such boy who has lost his purpose in life because he was incompatible with his partner. He had given up until... he meets a girl with horns. 

That's the short synopsis from my opinion. For fear of spoiling, I'll stop here, but I'll probably do a detailed review in the future. For now, what I'd like to say is that it's gripping. The characters are wonderful, and it really makes you wonder what it means to be human and what love is as you follow these adolescents who are stumbling through life as best they can in a post-apocalyptic setting. Action and drama are in complete balance, and the animation is very well done. There are currently 12 episodes out with one coming out every Saturday, at least on crunchyroll. 

I highly recommend it, and I hope you guys go watch it!
