"Seeing you walk into the Underworld willingly is quite a treat, usually we have to drag you down here." Lucifer jokes when the brunette had walked through the entrance of Hades' home. He had been reading another raunchy novel, one Medusa has upturned her nose too when seeing the title.

He shut it with a loud snap as the brunette barely even acknowledged him, "I need to see the library."

Lucifer is off his feet and cutting her walk short down the foyer. He stopped in front of her, "woah there, Hermès, I can't let you do that."

She cocked her head, "Lucifer, get out of my way."

He remained immovable, "sorry, Medusa, that's not gonna happen."

"Move or I'll make you," she hissed and the chorus of snakes followed, rattles, and this hisses of spitting cobras escaped her.

The angel in turn allowed his black wings to fall, elegant feathers extending out as the tips dusted between a deep gold and a bright copper. They were so strong and powerful, like fierce knives fastened together. Medusa had never seen him this defensive, not even when they'd been mad, what was happening?

"I told you, I can't let you through." He warned her slowly and his eyes flashed a ruby red, the mark of the devil himself.

Medusa was ready to question why when a set of echoing footsteps stopped her short and she turned back.

"He's under my orders."

Hades stood there, in a black trimmed suit and his aura burning a deep cobalt blue he was as gorgeous as was he dark. The roses that his wife had adorned the castle with turned a midnight black and his cobalt blue when he walked past.

Her blood ran cold as she dropped defenses and looked at her former guardian.

Hades was still as handsome as she'd last seen him, prim and proper she was reminded of the noble Elijah back in the real world. Something told her these two would get along.

"Hades," she greeted him with a curt nod.

"Medusa," he spoke her name with indifference as his face showed no emotions and his eyes looked to Lucifer. "Morningstar, would you mind if we chatted privately, I think I overheard Persephone in need of some help with trimming the garden of Eden into shape."

"Oh goody, a way to piss off daddy dearest with old memories." The fallen angel humores and looked to the Gorgon. He flicked her nose with the tips of his fingers and a smirk, "play nice you two, wouldn't want the castle to be torn sort while Persephone's in the middle of renovations. She's kill us all."

He walked off but not before turning back out of Hades eyes and lifted his hand, signaling a phone and pressing it too his ear. He mouthed the words, call me, to the brunette and then strolled off.

Medusa awaited any sigh from Hades as to their conversation, and the dark god adjusted his tie and pointed in the direction of which she was headed. "Let's walk shall we?"

Sensing this as a positive signs despite his early words she turned and walked in pace with him.

"Your escape was very surprising, impressive, but surprising. It cashes a certain... attention my way from my dearest brother Zeus." Hades began cooly.

Medusa sighed and apologetically looked his way, "well Zeus never like me..."

"Zeus has never liked rebel's, why do you suppose he sent me down here. My own dear brother, sent all of his siblings to different corners and Poseidon was the only bastard to stubborn to notice." Hades scoffed and rolled his eyes. Medusa blinked at him, the way he spoke shocked her and when the handsome god looked down at her he cocked a brow. "What? He has no domain here, I created everything as far as your eye can see and I have no intention of him ever being able to spy me. He can't hear beyond the screams of the damned, and any time he so much as plugs his ears nearest the dirt of Olympus all he hears is death—not really something the reigning god wants."

Medusa almost smiled at his tone, "glad to know that I'm not the only one here."

"Gods no," Hades snorted and shook his head. "That idiot thinks he has so much power, what he doesn't know is the more he tried to control us the easier it was for us to take back reign. My siblings and I, we trust the titans more then we trust Zeus."

She noticed the path they took was growing closer to to the library and confusion arose in her but she dared not to interrupt the god of death himself.

"Still, despite our clear hatred we must be meticulous with our moves, play a game of chess without looking. Zeus is powerful, but we as a collective as smarter. So, what do I mean by this? Play the game, even if it is just awhile. Smile and pretend you're grateful for this opportunity. One day we will prove to him that not all is forgiven and some fights are never over."

"Is this your way of telling me I cannot go into the library?" Medusa questioned as they halted in front of the double doors that led to the abundance of literature.

Every book, either written by man or god was stored in the facility, stories that were too evil for mundane eyes or forgotten lore that had been written centuries ago sat dusting away. Medusa remembered how there was times where Lucifer would disappear and he'd come back with a particular smirk on his handsome face, the Gorgon always knew it had to do with the library. Centuries had gone by and he'd still not finished reading everything as some books were only found when they'd wish to be, and sometime Lucifer was lucky.

Medusa felt like the soles of her feet suddenly buzzed to be in there, but the tall domineering presence in her way prevented it.

She looked at Hades with his lopsided smile and listened as he spoke, "you've always been smarter then you led on; you probably already knew there was stipulations. My sinister child of winter, you know this may be my kingdom but Zeus is still strong enough to have ears and eyes everywhere. One day though, we will blind him with our spark and rule what was once ours."

Medusa trusted Hades beyond belief, he'd after all never given her a reason of doubt, so she dropped any quarrels and turned back towards where they'd come.

Her lips poured as she looked for any possible thought and when annoyed sighed, "is there anything you can give me?"

"What you're looking for won't be found in the library or with any soul within our worlds because it does not exist. The Hybrid will need you and that little witch of yours to keep alive." Hades responded with a vague interest.

At the mention of Davina her heart tore, and something within her begged to speak the words she knew could not be taken back. "Is she— is she going to be okay through all of this?"

Hades wasn't a man to ever lie, he felt as if lying wasn't as valuable as truth but standing there, looking at one of his favorite children. At a very child of darkness mans massacre and seeing her fight some light, any light, well it pained him but lies were not his style and if he respected her as much as he assumed then there was no use for it. Besides, she knew the truth as much as he did. "She's dying, Medusa, there's nothing that will stop that from happening you know this."

Medusa felt her stomach drop as she shut her eyes and willed herself not to crumble in the face of death, "will you just promise me that when it happens she'll be treated right?"

Hades nodded his head firmly, "that child has done no wrong in my eyes. When she passes my gates I will keep her safe for you, she's an awful lot like you during your arrival. Different pains and yet similar personalities."

Medusa smiled, "I suppose that's why I took a liking."

"Could be? Or maybe you've just found that piece of humanity all of us are so adamant is gone."

Medusa has no strength to argue as she turned back to the hall, "I think it's time I go back."

Hades nodded his head and stepped to the side, revealing a portal for her to go back through. "The Hybrids looking for you, appears he's not entirely happy you've disappeared on him this close to the night."

Medusa rolled her eyes as she heard the engines of cars and the laughter of humans, "he's never not, that beast would die before saying a kind word."

"Often the best words are never spoken, they're just a silent thought through the eyes. Think about that the next time you two are together." Hades states and pats her shoulder. "You're welcome here anytime, but remember the rules may be a facade but we must uphold them for now."

Medusa doesn't respond to his statement and takes a step into the portal, "I'll be back soon."

Today was not a day to cross Klaus Mikaelson.

And yet as the day went on and his patience slowly thinned like the sky's change in vision he wondered just where, or rather what, the Gorgon was doing. He hadn't seen her in that day, he'd gone to her crypt, walked past many of Marcel's frequent spots, and even strolled across some bars only to find them vacant of a beautiful brunette.

They had a set plan between them, tonight was the night for it all to come together but yet she didn't show.

And Klaus began to assumed the worst.

He was still on bourbon street, watching as the last of the decorations went up when someone stumbled out of the empty alley as he passed and nearly fell into him.

His hands reached out in the same moment she caught her balance and the two met eyes, neither smiling or angered.

"Where have you been?" He calmly states, attempting not to let his anger blind him. He needed to keep her on his side, and yelling at her would only push her back into the arms of Marcel's. If he was honest there was much more curiosity then actual bitterness in his words. Medusa has a tendency to disappear into thin air, and reappear in places where there was frankly nothing, be it alleyways, forgotten halls, or even a turning corner she would appear. There was a gloss over her eyes, like she too was confused about her own arrival. Even now he watched for the first moment as she gripped her bearings and looked around. The canopies and loud streets seemed to ease her after a brief pause.

Hades suddenly repeated in her head like a broken record and she saw a spark in Klaus' eyes, like a flicker of unknown emotion. It hid well with the rage, nearly blinded by his anger but she saw it. The eyes indeed spoke what the lips could not and she grew fearful of the many sentence that spilled from his elegantly detailed eyes.

Medusa pivoted on her heel and began to walk, finding that she was much to close to the hybrid and there was more to do in life then answer his questions. "Davina's likely waiting for me, I have to get her."

Klaus seemed to agree, nodding his head, "I'll see you tonight then."

Something about the way he said it made the alarms in her head sound, like a chorus they all erupted and screamed for her to be careful. Medusa stilled and turned back, finding the hybrid watching her moves. She tilted her head, "this alliance only works if you assure her safety."

"Nothing will happen to the young witch, I assure you of that." He charmed, but like the predator he was there was always something to watch out for.

"Somehow I don't believe you." She admitted, her serpent posing to strike.

"Well you should learn to have faith," he smirked and was gone with the breeze of the wind. And there it was again, the flicker in his eyes that could not be hidden for long. She grew concerned for the minimalist of seconds before brushing it off because there was more pressing matters now, and he'd somehow admitted to them.

Medusa felt the cold chill, like hands clawing at her exposed skin and she smirked because having faith in Klaus was like trusting the devil.

"Davina!" Medusa waved excitedly as the little witch appeared from around the back the church.

Davina smiled, gleefully she made her way across the street with a slightly jolt in her step, her sandals clicking against the pathway quickly as she made her way over. The smile never left her face and almost immediately she ran head on into the Gorgon and pulled her into a tight embrace. "Medusa!" She said lowly but with adoration as she hugged tightly, her skinny arms tightened to the maximum strength.

Medusa could just feel how the young girl was vibrating with happiness, and her serpent seemed to even enjoy the festivities as it hissed and slid its head against the young child neck. "Oh my sweet summer child, I've missed your warmth."

"I've missed you," Davina was quick to answer back with a head nod. "My days drag on without knowing you'll be around."

"Soon enough, that will change, my darling." Medusa couldn't help but warn the young girl as she touched her cheek only like a mother would. Her heart seemed to blossom only for this child much like a mother's would at the sight of their cub. "I promise, this won't last forever."

PLEASE READ
Unedited much like my fucking life...
No seriously I've had this saved for MONTHS with the intentions to finish the episode in this chapter but I realized that I had a full chapter ready to go and I still hadn't planned the rest of the episode. I don't know when the next chapter will come along and for that I apologize but I do have a general idea of where this is headed. What do you think her relationship will be like with Hayley? Teenage Hope? And all the enemies to come. What God would you like to see Medusa interact with?
