Maggie

It was thick darkness. Only the sound of the rustling of leaves and creeping night insects could be heard.

She glanced at her wrist watch, it was 9.02pm. But she stood there at the center of the large compound of St Patrick's Catholic church waiting, standing in front of her white Mercedes Benz, waiting for her meeting with the Medusa demon - the Vampire.

They were two minutes late to the meeting, one she had arranged risking her very existence.

The Vampire had contacted her demanding to know her status with the location of Fisheye. She had told them that she didn't have Fisheye, but she had something better - the flash drive! Hence, she set the meeting point and time.

All her being yearned just for the Vampire! For Revenge! For justice for her daughter Rose!

Her rape was the beginning of her downfall, after it her life was never the same again. Even with her new name Margaret Idiot, she still felt that hole, that yearning, that call out from the soul of her daughter, yearning for justice.

She didn't care about Medusa, she only cared about the devil that took her life from her, and gave her no peace.

She thought she had forgotten it all, forgotten her pain, and could live a normal life again, until she saw him again, that same devil, and everything changed in her.

No more peace, only evil consumed her. All the type of evil things she would do to him...

Her thoughts were interrupted by the blaring headlamp lights of two black vehicles approaching in the midst of brown dust.

She composed herself and stood erect fearless of what might come her way. Especially when the cars parked in front of her with their blaring headlamps still on and the men emerged from the vehicles all wearing black clothes with their guns visibly tucked by their waists.

"you have what I want you say?" the deep voice sounded as the hugest walked towards her. She recognized him amidst the blaring lights – The Vampire!

"You won't even say hello?" she asked confidently and the man laughed looking sideways.

It was probably her confidence that made him laugh.

"woman, do you have it or not?"

"it's funny how you're not willing to apologize for twenty four years ago. You're not even remorseful huh?" she smiled wickedly.

The man brought out his silver pistol (that same old silver pistol) and pointed it at Maggie and frowned, his face full of hate, anger , and death.

"so, that's the face you make before you shoot somebody? You must think I'm scared of you, mother fucker!" she spat on the floor hatefully.

The men behind the Vampire chuckled lightly.

"where. Is. The. Flashdrive.?" He asked slowly, his voice deeper and deadlier.

"Or what? So help me God?" she retorted as she reached for her pocket and brought out a black flash drive and handed it to him as he gently lowered his gun.

"Musa!" he called and a guy with a laptop emerged swiftly from the second vehicle, approaching them.

"take this and confirm" he instructed as the guy took it and disappeared into the car again.

He turned to Maggie and said;

"...and pray that this is for real"

Maggie gives out a one sided smile and raises her hands in the air in surrender as he pointed his gun at her again.

'They didn't know nothing' she thought

A tension ensued as they waited for the guy's confirmation before ...

"it's a virus! It's taken my data base down!!"

...and in that moment, came a chaos!

A spark, and the car headlamp lights went off.

In the darkness...

Gunshots !!!

Kabomm! Kaboom!! Kaboom!!

Kiriririiririr!!

Then a sniper!

Smeew! Smeewt!!!

Smeew!! Smeeww!!!!

And the headlamp lights came back on, but had turned dim red with blood!

Everyone was down, but Maggie was still standing.

"where is Maggie?! Does she know about this too?" he grabs Ronald by the neck and pins him to the wall .

"stop!" Chinny pleaded in tears. "please stop!" She was trying to stop things from escalating that bad.

"Who killed him?!" Uche yelled with his grip tightened on Ronald's neck, he was choking but still wouldn't fight Uche back.

"he can't talk like that!" Chinny cried dragging Uche's hands from Ronald's throat as he gasps for air.

"Medusa, medusa got him... it was a slow and painful death!" Ronald reported honestly, not trying to hide any secrets anymore. He was tired of it.

"and you watched!" Uche yelled and pushed Ronald with his strong arms and he landed with his back on the wall and then onto the floor.

He rushed him, sitting on him and was about to land a deadly blow when scorpion arrived and grabbed his hand, pushing him away from Ronald!

He landed on his back, scattering the plastic lockers in the class before finding a spot for himself on the floor!

"Are you raving mad!!!?" Scorpion thundered as Uche gets up quickly , standing up to Scorpion, their faces aligning, their fore heads kissing, their huge chests heaving.

Then Uche pounces on Scorpion, landing a first punch on his jaw. Scorpion was a bit surprised, he didn't want to beat shit out of this guy.

Scorpion returned the favor, landing a blow which was reversed by Uche with a punch in his abdomen, then a second, and then pushed him forcefully away!

But scorpion was strong on the ground, he bounced back almost immediately grabbing Uche's hands as he was about releasing another heavy blow on him, and turned him to his back, swiftly and expertly. Kicked the back of his knee thus, Uche naturally went down on one knee.

He now held him in a submissive position - his left hand wrapped tightly around Uche's throat and his right arm pressed against his scalp to stop blood flow to his head region and get him unconscious.

Uche was grunting with his eyes turned red, full of pain and tears. He was fighting it but he was slowly falling into unconsciousness.

That was when Chinny attacked Scorpion! Flying in with a TV advert worth throat kick at Scorpion. The impact making scorpion stagger and let go of Uche .

Uche collapsed to the floor coughing, purring in pain, and trying to catch his breath.

"Leave him be!!" Chinny shouted and peace was still...

Chests heaving, tears falling, tension brewing , silence reigning.

Until Ronald stood up gently and approached Chinny who was sitting on the tiled floor holding poor Uche who's eyes where red with grief, and tears.

"I'm sorry." He said and brought out a white flash drive from his pocket and presented it to Chinny.

"My dad gave it to me before he died. I was supposed to give it to his friend, Senator Kayode but, I didn't have the chance to as I was smuggled out of Nigeria in the quickest possible time to save my life".

Chinny took the flash drive from his hand, her face still red.

Uche got up quickly and snatched the flash drive off Chinny's hands as she examined it .

" you say your father gave this to you personally?"

"Yes, before he was ... you know" he replied sadly.

"I came all the way from Canada to give this to you brother, because I heard you were into all these computer stuff. So maybe you can decrypt it and we'd know what to do with it..."

Uche laughed out loud amidst his sorrow!

"What?" Chinny asked perplexed.

"Jackpot!" he said " Jackpot!"

Just then, Cas rushed in breathing hard!

"they're here!"
