Adrian Brooke. ~ In the Ancestral Plane.

Adrian truly needed a minute, all the information he was getting was overloading his capacity to actually grasp everything that was being poured into him, and he was actually the smartest in the family. "Okay, stop, —I just need a minute aunt Marie." He muttered as the woman nodded with a smile whilst Adrian just set aside his cup of warm chamomile, apparently the ancestral plane had that too but he couldn't focus on that.

"You're telling me that Jax's parents died to imprison Jose, because he was a blessed mystic, and had power enough to actually challenge the patriarch, so instead of letting it happen, the people who would've been my inlaws died to separate Jose from his body, destroyed it, stripped him of his power and locked him in the ancestral realm, only for him to break out when he had absorbed enough energy, found a portal to get back to the real world and merged with another living relative of his so he could stay in the human realm." Ari explained and his granma along with his aunt nodded.

"He wanted to take over Jax's body because what better way to gain his power and destroy the threat other than just taking over his body, thankfully the Goddess had already joined you two for a long time, naturally your magic alone would've protected him from the merging, but then you created a protection contract with a deity at the centre making sure no matter what happened, Jose couldn't take Jax, which leads to why he's now after Jax, he knows Jax can completely destroy him, that's why he threatened you, and from the looks of his prison, he's not completely free, Philia's spell was written to bind a god, escaping it is almost impossible." Uncle Rae asserted as Ari sighed and sat down, it was a lot but he understood.

"We know it's a lot, but it's why we're here dear Adrian, to guide you, your mate and your brothers, they are part of our family and so we are their ancestors aswell, and we'll be here, aslong as we're needed." Marie comforted as his granma hugged him. "Thanks, I needed that." He chuckled as everyone in the spacious room looked at him fondly. "There is something else you must know dear, it's about the sacred or eternal flames, and an incoming threat by the man who sired you." Rae mentioned and it piqued Adrian's interest.

"The sacred flames originate from an unknown source, but what we do know is that they are as ancient as time, and have been passed from generation to generation being wielded by noble hearts and not so noble hearts, you have the orange flame, protection, and a power unlike any other, but each flame is equally strong to another, how it's wielded and by whom makes it stronger, like your cousin River, he wields the white flame, —clarity, most of these flames have found worthy wielders as we watch over them and some haven't, anyway —Skyler Sovietro your uncle wields the green flame, the flame of life, he recently learnt and earned the right to truly use it and he used it to punish your sire." He explained and Adrian nodded, he knew all of this but it was better to listen.

"He cursed him with it, into the ever burn until his sins have been purged from his very soul, to stop the curse or rather break it Skyler by will can do it, but there are other ways to break the curse and Neil just found out, to either kill the wielder or steal their flame." He concluded and a very cold chill rolled down Ari's spine. "To steal a flame is a crime against creation itself, no one would dare." Ari whispered and the others nodded. "Your father would though, if he thought that's the way to break the curse, I swear that man causes more problems for himself each time he comes back to Greeneway Bay." His grandma hissed as Ari couldn't help agree with her.

"So I need to stop him, but how?" Ari asked as Kerri walked forward, she was actually younger than Adrian when she died but made an ancestor. "You need to find Skyler, have him break the curse, then cloak him so no one not even Enzo can find him unless he wants to be found." She advised and Ari nodded knowing this was the way, despite wanting to protest, they were the ancestors, they existed on a much higher pedestal than him and they watched over everyone of their blood, so their way was alright as long as his own nature didn't fight it. "I'll do it." Ari replied and Kerri nodded with a smile. "One last thing Adrian." His granma called out as she stood by the door and led him outside, in the distance he could see the statues again.

All different weres. "You must understand Adrian, only you and your family can bear the burden of the things that come your way, I know it's not easy but I know you can handle it, you're my blood after all, —the source he seeks isn't a golem or in golem form, I think you already know what it is, and it draws him to you, so I will need you to be careful my child, think carefully, make decisions wisely, and when you need us, —we're always here, we're always watching and making sure that your unborn and the ones to come, will always be safe." She assured him as they watched the cloudy sky clear away, Adrian knew what she meant, he'd felt it the moment he'd gone through the portal to the ancestral plane, he had decided to ignore it, but here he couldn't, it was way too real, and almost too visible.

"Jax is connected to the kitsune isn't he, I can feel its energy from here and his binding through me." Ari whispered and Rae nodded placing a hand on his shoulder. "He's a blessed mystic, the last of his kind and the only one who can stop Jose, in time he'll be just as powerful as the patriarch and surpass him like you, —as his successor grows under Nik's careful eye, Goddess bless that man and his mate, they are remarkable people, there are beings out there who are by sheer will stronger than the patriarch, most of them have no need to rule, but maintain order, as is their charge, one day Jax will need help protecting his kind, I'm sure you'll be there with him." Rae exclaimed as Ari nodded. "Good." His grandma muttered.

"Always we are here, come to us whenever you need guidance, and I promise you my child, we'll always be here." His grandma reassured as Adrian was hugged, well all his past relatives huddled around him then let go when he willed a portal into being behind him. You are the medium, the balance of all. He heard them remind him as he slipped into the void between worlds just for a millisecond before appearing back on the porch and he realized it was early morning.

Enzo & Nik.

"Are you sure we're in the right place?" Nik questioned his son who nodded with vigor. "I cast the spell exactly as it was inscribed, with the right ingredients, and it led me to this place, wherever this place is." Enzo explained as they kept looking around the underground bunker, it was located inside a cave underwater, the only reason why it wasn't flooded was because a titanium wall had been erected to keep the water away. "Are you sure Ari is fine, you did say he just vanished." Enzo relayed and Nik sighed.

"He activated the branded protection runes on all of us meaning he had to do something only he could do, giving us all the protection we would need, we just need to find the girl, and get out of here, this place is really starting to make me uncomfortable." Nik explained and Enzo knew to stop worrying, but this was Ari, a pregnant Ari, all he could do was worry. It was unlike him to vanish too but if he were in trouble Jax would be freaking out, instead he was confined to the house, literal house arrest by magical means, it's why he hadn't joined them on this particular rescue mission to get the mysterious woman Ari had told their dad about.

"Isn't this a nice surprise." Nik and Enzo immediately turned around to face Neill who wore a slight smirk on his face. "What are you doing here?" Enzo hissed whilst Neill held his heart over his chest. "I could ask you the same." He retorted and Nik could feel the incoming guards. "Enzo go, find her, I'll hold them off." Nik told Enzo who wanted to protest. "No, —I said go." Nik growled as he shoved Enzo back, Neill whipped out his red will in the form of a large claw, grabbed Nik and smashed him into several wooden crates, he knew this was not going to be easy  but training had to pay off somehow, so Nik lunged for Neill pulling out two karambits from his back.

Neill dodged the first slash to his throat but Nik cut through his thigh and inflicted a cut to the growling wolf but it healed over quickly as the wolf growled loudly and lunged for Nik, he aimed his claws at his opponents abdomen but Nik was fast, faster than he anticipated as he felt a kick to his ribs, the banshee did a handstand and kicked Neill's wolf away, throwing him directly into a wall that cracked behind him, and as he lunged for him again the banshee unleash a skin ripping scream that threw Neill right back into the wall and past it, a few gaurds who showed up were caught in the attack too, instantly being knocked out.

"Hey, stop right there." Four more guards, wolves called out and attacked but Nik was ready, he twirled his karambits as he hummed a song that granted him power, turned it to give him speed, turned it to give him strength as he collided with the first wolf who hit his leg and blasted him with red will but he cut right through it and slashed at it's throat then carved out a hole in its chest, he grabbed the body and threw it at one of the guards also throwing his knife into the head of another, they seemed untrained and took time accessing their will which Nik used to his advantage as he lunged for another wolf, stabbed it's leg, grabbed a sharp long needle from his back and jabbed right into the wolf's throat from where his spine began killing him.

One left as Neill growled so loudly the bunker shook and he blasted Nik with raw red energy which threw him into several more crates followed by an explosion, but he was already on his feet and hiding in the smoke as he waited for a chance to attack.

Lorenzo had been met by a similar problem only his problem was of the fae kind, he was stuck in an overgrown weed maze as it may seem and each turn he took a different path opened. "I'm here to find you, where are you?!" Enzo yelled as the muffled groans of the woman Nik had told him about answered him, she was close. "I can't let you have her, Neill wants her for something else." The fae replied too, his voice disjointed from the foliage. "Know what, —fuck this." Enzo growled as he focused on his power. "Fourth Circle: Summoning -Hell hounds rise." He cast his spell and the hell hounds came from the portal he conjured. "What are you?" He heard the fae ask. "Something you should fear, —attack." He ordered and the hounds attacked the foliage and some attacked the fae who screamed out in pain.

As the fae was distracted he got to work burning away the foliage too, he needed it gone to find the girl, a bright flash of light signaled the destruction of his spell but he didn't need to worry, he'd found her. "Hey, —hey you're safe." He soothed as he helped her take off the gag. "You shouldn't have come, he knows you're here now." She warned but Enzo had to worry about that later as he jumped to the side avoiding several spears aimed for his head. "You really need a new job." Enzo hissed as he placed his palm on the ground summoning a wall from the very ground that he pushed toward the fae who cut through it.

He aimed lightning at him and he was thrown away but soon was on his feet as Enzo knew he had to get serious, the bunker shook even more meaning his father and Neill weren't just playing. "I'm sorry, you might want to close your eyes." He told the woman and she nodded. "I told you, I'm not letting you take her." The fae guard called out as he summoned a spear into his hand. "And I appreciate your work ethic, I do, —but I don't care about what you said." The demon replied as his eyes changed to a clear scarlet and he attacked the fae blasting him with raw power, the flames he hurled at the guard were just as red as his eyes and they burned horribly.

Enzo slid under the fae and kicked his back, summoned a long blade to defend against the spear aimed for his head, he slashed at the fae's head who dodged and blasted him with circle of symbols that emitted blue energy that turned anything they touched into ice. Enzo had dodged and unleashed an inferno of flames on the fae then created another sphere of dark matter which he pushed toward his opponent and it exploded throwing the fae, the girl and himself in different directions but he didn't stop there, he summoned a power he'd never used before into being and combined it with his own, he hoped his mate wouldn't be too angry as his body changed into that of a wolf but with a more demonic aura.

Enzo lunged for the fae as he was blasted with pure lightning that should've hurt but it rolled off him, he leapt into the sky and came down on his opponent with a sharpened double edged blade summoned from his power and cut the fae into several different pieces, once he was done he let go of the transformation and hurried to the girl. "You're safe, come on." He urged her up but she was weak. "The chain it strains me." She whispered and he concentrated on the chains tracing runes on them, each of the runes broke the chain until it was completely gone. "There you go." Enzo asserted both her legs and arms were free. "Thank you." She replied as they made their way to his father.

Nik had held his own against the wolf, as Neill was too weak now to keep fighting in his shifted form, they were both bruised and battered. "I won't let you have her." Nik asserted as Neill lunged for him, his fist didn't connect but Nik's did, he punched the man's gut, kicked his knee so he buckled and flipped to round house kick him again throwing him toward the burning rubble. "You're weak." Nik muttered as Neill scoffed and got to his feet attacking more ferociously, they each dodged and attacked at a greater speed, each of them pushing more power into the attacks, anyone who would witness their fight which Enzo and the girl were, couldn't believe their speed, but Enzo could knowing how strong his father was.

Neill growled as he caused an explosion to occur when his fists collided with Nik but Nik also had an attack, he screamed, at a different frequency that it caused Neill to howl in pain, stopping him in his tracks, when the attack stopped more of Neill's men showed up in the destroyed bunker. "Pops, I have her lets go!" Enzo called out. "No!" Neill yelled as Enzo was attacked right then but before they could all get past Nik —he unleased a point blank scream, it not only affected his opponents but everyone in the area, forcing them to their knees as their brains felt as if they were being melted, blood seeping from their eyes, ears, nose and mouth, this is why Enzo feared Nik as one by one the opponents all fell to the ground unconscious when he stopped.

"Lets go." He ordered as suddenly he was by Enzo's side. Enzo didn't have the strength to walk but he had enough mana to open a portal home which in the moment he opened it turned orange, threads of pure light came from the portal and grabbed all three pulling them into it and instanly they were home, by the front entrance with the family looking at them worriedly.

"I know what you're about to say, —don't." Nik told his husband who raised his eyebrows in surprise then turned to look at the girl Enzo was helping up. "Hey, I know you." Ari quickly asserted and the girl seemed to smile in relief but then passed out.

The Milford Home. ~ Lanks - Stronger Than

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Johnny asked his mate as he helped him sit up after he was released from the healing tube. "I'm fine, more or less, today was shocking, fought a fae." He replied with a chuckle as Johnny gave him a flat look. "Don't look at me like that, we save people in danger, we're the Medium family." Enzo chortled as Johnny just laughed lightly as his mate tried to lighten the mood. "Idiot." He mumbled and Enzo nudged him with his shoulder. "Your idiot, yes, and I'd rather be no one else's." He retorted as Johnny leaned in and kissed him, it was slow, and gentle, a reassurance. "Hmm, how did I earn that?" The demon teased. "By being an idiot." Johnny chuckled as behind them the tube made a release alert on Nik.

"Hey pops." Johnny began as the man slowly got upright. "Hey kiddo, where's your dad?" Nik asked. "I'm right here, no need to worry." Renee replied with a hand on his stomach. "I must worry, you're pregnant." Nik argued as the two slowly walked to the small bathroom within the lab. "What about her?" Enzo asked and Johnny sighed heavily. "Her name is Elizabeth Mirray, she is fifteen but her vampiric and fae blood gave her a growth spurt, she looks eighteen or nineteen but she will age normally from here on out, Jose has been drugging her to keep her docile, I also found large amounts of vervain and kanima venom in her system, he's been killing her slowly with that too." Adrian replied holding his tablet then transferring the information to a larger screen.

"That man is a monster, I wonder how he got in contact with Neill." Enzo stated and Ari whipped around in shock. "He's what?" He questioned. "Yeah, Neill was there to get her too, I didn't think of it at first but it makes sense in a way, how would Neill know and want Elizabeth if he wasn't in contact with Jose." Enzo replied as Ari seemed to groan, so did Jax. "Of course our horrible unwanted relatives have a pact." He growled looking to the girl immersed in healing fluid, multiple tubes running in and out of her along with a constantly rotating purification sphere over the tube itself, he felt sorry for her, what Jose did to her was wrong.

"We need to figure a way out of this and protect that girl." Nik stated as they all turned to him. "And I know where to start."
