Moments of Peace, for a little while.

Sovietro Manor.

"Neill, what are you doing back here?" The patriarch growled directly at the man who stood by the door to his office, doctor Charlton awkwardly looked between the two seeing as the tense atmosphere was getting unbearable, she decided to hightail it out before the two got physical. "Um, I will just- have a good day, and don't kill each other." She mumbled before walking to the door where Neill stepped aside and she slipped through and closed the door.

"I said what are you doing here?" The patriarch commanded as he looked at the failure of a son who stood in front of him, he didn't want him here, he didn't want Adrian to suffer more heartbreak, knowing him, his grandson would've figured it out that he wasn't just a friend to the Brooke household, he was their grandfather, Kyle's disappearance had been all the evidence he needed to prove that assumption but Neill being back was the last thing he needed. "Why can't I just come back home to see my father, my children, that you've been purposely hiding from me!" Neill replied as his eyes glazed over red.

"I did no such thing, you left those four to fend for themselves, left a barely fifteen year old boy to fend for his siblings on his own because you couldn't be a father and grow a pair to take care of them." The patriarch replied as his own wolf showed at the surface, how dare Neill accuse him when he had done nothing wrong, he had kept a distance from Adrian and watched him blossom into a powerful being, one that gave praise to the Sovietro name. "You know why I left, Adrian knew why I left, but you kept me from them, and now he's grown up to know a different version of events that you concocted!" Neill replied, harshly slamming his fist on the table, it shattered in half by the blow.

"How dare you boy, if you're looking for someone to blame for your own shortcomings then look in the mirror, I gave you everything, I supported you when you lost your way, I gave you a chance at life but even after your wife died you couldn't do the one thing that was required of you, be a father to your own kids, do you think Adrian, Johnny or the twins are stupid, they know what you did and don't you dare spew nonsense about me screwing with their minds, those four are part of the most powerful and intelligent children I have ever come across, I myself can admit that, so tell me how would I screw with their minds or their lives!" The patriarch yelled as the red glow of his will overshadowed Neill, fierce winds began to blow from shattered windows. "Tell me!" The wolf yelled as his son shifted.

"You're my son Neill, don't you dare forget yourself because you think I would purposefully keep you away from your children, Adrian knows everything, every little thing that's happened before, and that will happen in the future, if you couldn't reach him it's because you didn't try or he's blocked you off like he did with me." The patriarch explained as the ground beneath him shook, he took a step forward and appeared in front of Neill's wolf form, the large beast was slammed down onto the floor but it seemed to have done nothing to quench his rage.

"You may try talk to him but you'll fail, if you're here because you seek his power then I will tell you right now, they too received their mother's curse which means they will know truth from lies, you have lost them, Neill, go back to your wife and kids, no one wants you here." The bulking mass of man with a crimson glow surrounding his body expressed just as he moved away from his son, Neill shifted back and slumped to his knees. "They are my children father." He announced looking at the Patriarch's back. "Not anymore."

Adrian.

"Phoenix Fury." Adrian flew upward as orange fiery wings burst from his back and sent a barrage toward Jax, Kyle, and Enzo who were on the ground, each one had their own shield protecting them from the attack the witch had unleashed. "Good Adrian, now hit them hard." Nik instructed as he stood outside the training arena. "Summoning: God's Fury: Tome of Ice." He called out just as Jax wrapped himself in his tails, Kyle used his will to create a shield whilst Enzo smiled and wrapped himself in a black shield as well, an ice storm gathered in the arena and hit the three men on each side with powerful force.

Adrian had his weapon ready to defend himself, when his attack dissipated Kyle was on one knee and the other two were attacking him, he flipped back in the air to avoid Jax's pillar, his eyes turned into orange and black catslits for a second but he had already seen enough, he made an arrow appear behind him and sent it toward Enzo who was about to attack him, the demon dodged and began close weapon combat with Adrian, they were too fast for the human eye to see but they all could see perfectly, Adrian veered right and dropped to the ground where Jax was waiting.

The witch was slammed onto the hard ground by two pillars but Adrian hadn't been hit and he knew Jax was sure of it too, orange leaves burst from the body that was supposedly slammed onto the ground, Adrian appeared in front of Kyle who punched him several times whilst he punched him as well, the hybrid made spears appear in front of him and sent them toward all three other opponents with him in the arena, Enzo made his own which clashed with Kyle's, Adrian cut them down easily with his lightning, Jax made his fox fire absorb the spears.

"Good Kyle, now attack." Nik instructed and Adrian attacked, he punched Enzo in the gut and sent him hurtling toward the arena wall, Jax hit his back with a punch that he took and absorbed with magic but the backlash still threw them apart, Adrian had no time to recover as Kyle's foot slammed onto the ground he was once on, he flipped into the air and made multiple arrows appear. "Artermis's Revenge: Vesta lo et phatur." Adrian cast his spell and a circle appear absorbing the orange arrows, three more circles appeared where Jax, Enzo, and Kyle were. "Release." The witch commanded and the super charged arrows were released.

Every hit the arrows made an explosion happened, but Adrian knew he had to win this time, he was determined not to lose, his eyes changed into catslits as he jumped into the air, orange flames gathered in his palms as he got higher, he changed the flames to pure orange light that shone in the morning light. "Purging Gleam." The witch mumbled as he let loose the beams of pure orange light on Kyle and Enzo, the two couldn't handle this raw form of power and so when it hit them they screamed in pain, but Adrian knew this was for their own good, no enemy showed mercy.

Adrian had to stop his attack as lances made of black ice were aimed at him, the ice impaled his back and leg and once it hit symbols littered the skin and exploded making him cough blood and drop to the ground where Jax hurled a large sphere made of his fox fire, Adrian knew he only had one choice, he laid a hand on his heart and pulled out his weapon, he cut through air but something else happened, where he had cut a void appeared and sucked in the massive attack from Jax, when the void closed Adrian had no time to dodge so Jax kicked his abdomen hard throwing him to the wall.

"Now let's see who wears the pants in this relationship." Nik mumbled as he now watched his son and son in law fight, Adrian hissed toward Jax who growled in return, the witch got up from the ground his wounds healing slowly, he clutched his weapon tightly as a string of symbols appeared in his other hand, Jax knew his mate was about to use his second base ability and braced for anything. "Sand Salvo." The witch cast and a symbol appeared in front of Jax from it sand was hurled at it, it didn't sting it cut through him like a knife.

Adrian kept on the assault as more symbols appeared on his skin, Jax flipped into the air, he used his tails to keep himself afloat as one of his tails glowed green and vines sprouted from the ground in a frenzy and attacked Adrian, the witch wasn't fazed at all he cut down the vines and foliage with a determined stance that shocked Nik and his mate. "Demonic Tempo." Adrian mumbled as four symbols appeared and rotated in front of him, they released several explosions which left the whole area vibrating differently, Jax was disoriented but that wouldn't stop him.

The kitsune's eighth tail glowed as his fur changed from orange to black with orange markings, he too had abilities and Adrian was about to experience the force of his mates's power, Jax gathered several spheres in his palms then shot them at Adrian, they exploded each with a color different from the other, this was the first of the formation and Adrian knew it, he had to get away but the paralysis was already taking effect, he decided to trust his power, instead of orange and black his eyes were reversed, the black part of his eye turned white as the feline slit changed to orange, his body became more defined and he hissed at Jax who was hurling several beams of anti matter at Adrian.

He cut through the anti matter with his blade which had blazing orange flames, he summoned more symbols to his command, and from them, Adrian hurled nature at Jax, the kitsune retaliated with using his demonic tail and absorbing the energy, but Adrian wanted that exactly. "Confuso metamopho salva." He cast and the energy that surrounded Jax exploded in a fiery orange blaze, Jax had taken a direct hit but Adrian wasn't expecting black lightning that hit him from above like rain in a thunderstorm, he didn't scream he took every hit and did not show weakness. The witch was on his knees and so was his mate, both of them clasped their palms together and began gathering mana for an all out attack toward the other.

A sphere with elements circling around it appeared above Jax as he pushed more mana into it, Adrian had made an arrow similar to his weapon but this time it was white with orange markings on it, it grew as he pushed mana into it and readied it to attack Jax who was also ready to release his attack. "Release!" Both attacks were released and they clashed in a burst of white explosive power and force, the shock waves created earthquakes in the arena as well and threw both Adrian and Jax to the wall as it burst one more time sending a beam of white light into the sky.

Adrian was already on his feet in the middle of the arena blocking a fist to his face from Jax, the two were heavily breathing but wouldn't give up to the other, the witch broke their stance and flipped into the air, he pulled out his soul weapon again and came down to attack Jax but the kitsune was ready, a spear was in his palm and defended against the blade Adrian wielded, though Jax no longer had his tails and Adrian's arm was back to normal both boys were still strong and they would continue to fight, but Adrian wanted to win. "Lucifer's Hold." Adrian summoned and Jax was immediately paralyzed as his body was constricted by black chains. "Lightning Dance: Carnage of Woe." He added just as Jax broke the chains and summoned a shield but it was too late, dark cobalt lightning was hurled at him in a furious bombardment.

When the attack from Adrian finally stopped Jax slumped off the arena wall and Adrian coughed out blood as he dropped to his knees, he had finally won this round, he won. "The match has been set, Adrian wins." Nik called out as he moved from the arena, two long clawed arms appears from behind the banshee and lifted Jax along with Adrian, the medium knew it was Johnny using his will to carry them out of the arena, this had been one intense battle, but he had won.

Nik Milford.

What he had witnessed he could never forget, he had never seen power like that before, he never thought he would but the truth had finally come to light, both Adrian and Jax were strong, they indeed came from special bloodlines and as first born to that special line they were indeed powerful. A part of him was glad to be alive, he had witnessed something extraordinary but also he was glad to be alive because he could fully protect and nurture not just Jax or Kent, but Adrian and his siblings as well.

He had never wanted to leave them in the first place but everything happens for a reason and he was glad to be there to experience everything now, it made everything even more enjoyable, he had lost something precious but got it back so it was only natural to appreciate everything even more. "Enzo come on we're gonna be late." Johnny complained as he dragged the demon to the front door, each of them held boxes, he chuckled watching Kyle trail behind the two like a love struck puppy.

The more the three boys had been around each other, the more they had realized Johnny and Kyle had a third mate, and luckily Adrian had saved him from being used as a battery, he would need time to adjust to that reality but with his family there, he couldn't really complain, they would be there to make sure he was never lost and he would protect them with his life. "Papa, can we go play in the garden?" Martin asked shying away a little, but Nik scooped him up into his arms. "Only if you promise to stay away from the rose vines, they cut." He warned and the little boy nodded with a giggle. "We are leaving soon, so don't stay there for long." He added as Martin took Kent's hand and they ran off with Lino trailing behind them.

The familiar always had a watchful eye on the three boys, it would always be there to guard them so they never worried much, Nik looked around the house he and his husband lived in before he died, it was beautiful but a painful reminder of life's cruelty, he and the boys had decided it was better to move, Adrian had also decided it was best they moved away from the house they lived in, it was big enough for them but they all needed a new place to live, they wouldn't sell it because it held memories and it was their family home once upon a time, so when the time came if Johnny and his mates wanted to live away from their new home, it would be there for them.

"Almost done pops, it's nostalgic isn't it." Jax commented as he stood beside him, Nik turned to face his son with a lazy smile, Jax was the best son any man could ask for. "It is nostalgic but we must move on with our lives, you've finished the year with a bit of a rocky ending so I'm hoping this new start will be better." Nik expressed as he kissed Jax's forehead, where he was six foot six, his son was six foot nine almost seven feet tall which wasn't surprising due to him being a were, they always grew taller than most.

"It will be, once dad gets here and hopefully doesn't have a heart attack." Jax mused making his father swat his arm. "I miss my baby." The banshee mumbled as he walked toward the door where Adrian was with the whole family. "Boys let's go home." He announced as they all cheered and the six year olds squealed in delight, they would be moving in together, all of them as a family, Nik knew life wasn't going to be easy, even with this fresh start at life but it was worth it, they would face everything together, he smiled just as he slammed the door to his old home shut.

Adrian.

New beginnings weren't always the best for Adrian but this one seemed to be just what he needed, as they drove toward the north side of Greeneway bay toward the small mansion they would call home for however how long, he would cherish every waking moment he would get, he had secured Johnny's future, the twins now had proper parental figures in their lives and he wouldn't need to worry about them anymore, he was going to focus on what he wanted to do with his life in the new year, Enzo and Kyle would be working with Nik whom he should start calling papa more often on the bakery and whatever else they were planning, he would help out as well but he promised his papa he would focus on school and his own life with Jax.

So that's what he was going to do, he was going to focus on his life, no more worrying about the past, he was abandoned along with his siblings, and that was okay because he now had a family, a real one. "It's so big!" Mark squealed as they parked in front of their new home. "Of course it is, you guys will need separate rooms at some point so I planned ahead a bit, for now, your room is on the second floor, purple door." Their papa replied winking at Mark, his favorite color was purple, the three boys sprinted toward the house in a fit of giggles, how Adrian loved that sound.

"Enzo show your boys where your room is, just so you know I made it sound proof." Nik asserted making Johnny along with Kyle and Enzo blush furiously, but Adrian was thankful for it, the three of them would scar the kids if it weren't soundproof, Martin did ask Adrian if Enzo was hurt because he was making funny noises with Johnny, so it was indeed a good thing. "Ad-." Before Nik could speak Adrian silenced him. "We know, but we have a surprise for you." The witch asserted and looped his arm around Nik's, they walked into the house and toward one of the two master bedrooms in the house located on the first floor, Jax opened the door and audible gasp was heard from inside.

"Nik." Renee Milford Jax's dad choked out as he looked at his husband. "How, what- ." He couldn't say anything so he looked at Adrian then Jax. "It's not our place to say, so we'll leave him to it." Jax exclaimed and closed the door with a nod toward his dad.

In my family we face demons and every other threat, we were once divided but now we stand strong together, we have gone through trials and tribulations but we survived it all, after all, kill a demon today face the devil tomorrow but in that today we will celebrate and we will live our lives fully, I may be a medium but the future is untold, we're only left to discover it.
