Jax.

What was obvious was that this man was dangerous, his demonic aura wasn't tame, and he could feel it trying to leech off him, the barrier was still around him preventing the man to come any closer which brought a slight sense of relief to Jax. "Could you please lower the barrier, we can't exactly have a conversation like this." The man with red hair pointed out but Jax couldn't do anything about it and he much preferred it that way.

"If you would stop trying to leech of my mana and be a little less threatening then maybe it can come down, I'm not exactly sure how it works but it responds when I'm in danger and gets stronger the more the danger is close to me, so I doubt it." Jax replied annoying the demon, but it wasn't his fault that he was being protected. "No matter, I only have two things to ask of you, Jax." The man exclaimed as they moved toward a nearby park where children were playing with their parents, these were human therefore they couldn't see them for who they truly were.

"I don't have all day so hurry it up." Jax growled impatiently, the more he was around this demon the more his temper and his other half were going through the roof, he caused so much aggression with the malice that dripped from him. "Relax Jaxon, I'm sure what I have will interest you, do you know why Leyton chose to betray and break one of the sacred laws?" The man questioned but Jax had no idea, till now he didn't, knowing this was important Jax opened his mind to Adrian and Johnny, somehow he felt another person connect to the link but he didn't pay attention due to the demon in front of him.

"It's one of those eternal questions I will never get an answer to." The kitsune mused as he seemed bored but in hindsight, he was doing this so the demon would want his attention, he had played this game before. "I can answer it for you, he wanted his dead wife back, you see Jaxon, over time the demons in Greeneway Bay grew in power because they didn't divide themselves between good and bad, black or white, they chose to use magic as it was given by the goddess herself, just like the barrier that protects you now, I assume your mate made it, ever wondered how it's so strong, how it emanates evil yet protection for you." This was information that baffled Jax, he didn't know because he trusted Adrian, and he never questioned him because his mate was always open with him.

"I see, you didn't know which was and is totally normal as the witch of protection is your mate and well we all know mates could never betray us, but think about it, the magic he used was sacrificial magic, most witches and fae shun the practice of it, but look at how your witch has used it and has it been bad?" That explanation and question baffled Jax, he could clearly admit that it hadn't, every time the barrier had appeared it had protected him and never left him injured or unsafe. "No." He admitted making the demon smile.

"Exactly Jax, the demons were misunderstood, just because they practiced the darker forms of magic they were a plague and evil, but they weren't evil, the dimension they created to lock us in was evil, it tainted the hearts of those who were good and made them beings of unimaginable terror." The demon in front of Jax relayed as if he were reliving the nightmare itself, as if he had a more hidden agenda than just pulling out demons from the realm they were locked in. "We aren't monsters Jax, we are just people who were tragically misunderstood." The demon explained and somehow deep down Jax understood, he could feel it, the demon was telling the truth but could he trust him.

"I need you to join us, Jax, with your power I can achieve my goal, I can achieve the objective I want and after my goal is fulfilled, I will leave you and your family alone, think about it." The demon offered shocking the kitsune. "You can't possibly want me to join you, and murder people." He uttered with absolute shock and aggression. "That's right, it won't be much if you accept, that's why I brought an incentive to help you accept." The demon waved his hand and the image of Jax's father appeared, he seemed to be asleep in a coffin.

"The dark arts include necromancy, couple that with sacrificial magic and our own demonic magic along with the right ingredients in sync with witches magic, you are able to bring back souls from the dead, that's him right there Jax, he's alive and in stasis, join us Jax and you can have him once your work is done." The demon asserted just as Jax's tail pierced right through his body. "How could you defile him like that, he crossed over, he found peace!" Jax yelled as red claws popped up from his back and began separating the demon from its host.

Jax was shocked to see this but his anger didn't make him stop, he kept pulling the demon out. "Kill me, he goes too." The red haired man called out making Jax drop him. "I knew you were special, my offer stands Jaxon, your father will be given back to you and he will be normal, after you complete the job or I will have to do something drastic to ensure your cooperation, and I don't think you would like that." The demon added just as fire erupted at his feet and slowly burned his form away. "I will get you back papa." Jax said out loud as he saw the image of his father vanish as well. What was he going to do, he simply had no idea, before he even took a step he felt his surroundings change, Jax found himself in the lounge, the scent of the air conditioner in his car letting him know the car was also teleported. Ari didn't say anything, he just hugged him.

Adrian.

The pain was raw now more than ever, how could they do this to him, why would they even try do this to him, hadn't he suffered enough, hadn't felt pain enough, why were they driven to such an extent, to defile a soul of an innocent went against the very nature of what being a mystic stood for but they had done it, Adrian stirred awake in bed, Jax hang clung to him crying, begging him that it hurt to see his father like that, to see him sleeping peacefully yet unable to get to him.

He was strong but who would be strong when they saw an important part of their lives that they lost months before being displayed to them like a monkey at the zoo, he did what he could, after Jax cried they had sex, lots of it until Adrian on the fifth round Jax came and he put a sleeping spell on him, he also cast a dreamward, he knew nightmares would come from this experience so he prevented it before it happened, he slipped out of bed and made his way toward the triplet's room. They had been progressing considerably well in magic and combat thanks to Kyle no less, he was still grateful though.

He walked toward Johnny's room and peeked inside to see Kyle placing a kiss on Johnny's forehead, Adrian felt horrible for what happened to his brother, Jax's emotions hit Johnny so hard that he felt them as his own, and pain like that was hard to stand because Adrian had taken half the brunt of it and it still shook him. He was grateful for Kyle being there for Johnny even if it seemed that they had sex and Kyle was still on Johnny's kill list, Kyle noticed Adrian by the door and walked toward him silently, the two nodded to each other as the hybrid shut the door, he was somewhat semi nude, only in black sweatpants.

Adrian didn't say anything, and Kyle hugged him regardless, in his arms Adrian finally broke down, he wanted to be strong for his family, he wanted to be the brave one, but how could you be brave when everything and everyone was against you, how was he going to solve this, how was he going to fix this for all of them, they were in danger and there was nothing in his power that came close to what the demon could do, he was overwhelmed and right now he wanted to cry, and so he did, he wanted his father there to at least be there to tell them everything was okay, but he wasn't and Goddes knows the man wasn't coming back this time around.

Adrian's heart was heavy, he was trying to be brave, but how could he be brave, he was just an eighteen year old, barely past senior year, taking care of three siblings, a full time job, and a magical threat over his head, he wondered how he was even handling it all, he was completely at a loss, Kyle merely held him as he poured his heart and his eyes out, he didn't say anything just kept him in his arms and never let go, after he calmed down the hybrid led him toward the library, when he was seated he got to the kitchen and came back with water.

"Are you okay?" He asked but Adrian wasn't okay, he was anything but okay so he shook his head in refusal. "I figured, but are you really going to surrender and not fight." The man asked again as he looked at Adrian with eyes filled with hope, he didn't have any of that in the moment. "I don't know what to do Kyle." Adrian finally replied with a heavy sigh, he really didn't know and that was unlike him. "Even if you seem to have lost yourself I haven't lost what I saw in you, I've only ever seen someone as powerful as you in one other person, my uncle Sky, he's amazing and has power that no one could ever imagine to wield, when I look at you, I can see that exact thing, Adrian you were just a kid when you started taking care of your siblings and look where you are now." The hybrid asserted was he gestured around them.

"You moved out from that shabby house your father left you in and bought this place through hard earned money and working with the police to solve crimes, you managed to get Johnny and the twins enrolled into private schools even with their idiotic regulations, you took care of them whilst working at the restaurant, going to school as well, I've seen the records at the school and this senior year you're the valedictorian, you have the highest GP and all your classes are core, Adrian you're amazing, your siblings aren't just that, they are practically your kids and a father does everything he can to protect those kids, they don't give up." Kyle expressed as he wiped away tears from his own eyes. "I wish I had you for a father growing up, I would've been one lucky kid." The hybrid mumbled before standing up and disappearing upstairs.

Adrian had never thought there would be a side to Kyle that was as emotional as that one, what he said spoke volumes and it made Adrian think of his family, of how he wanted everything to be okay again, and he knew Kyle was right, a father didn't give up on his children, he fought with everything he had to protect those children because they were his. He wiped his face clean and snapped his fingers, his clothes changed to an all black outfit as he started to gather things around him, he snapped his fingers again and a pentagram made of black sand appeared with black candles at each point.

He then dropped the crystalized phoenix blood into the middle of the circle, it caused red embers to spark from the sand making the pentagram. "What are you doing?" Kyle questioned standing by the door. "I'm going to have a chat with a demon and get my father in law back." Adrian replied as he dropped the sunblessing around the pentagram. "I'm coming with you." The hybrid announced but that's not what Adrian wanted from him. "You have a different job, I cast a sleeping spell on Jax it won't wear off anytime soon, take him and the kids to your grandfather, it's the best protected place they can be, once they are there, you and Johnny will look for me at the old Greeneway docks, if you're in range you'll find me with the psychic link, there are three dangerous demons there, be careful on your approach." Adrian explained as he placed Kyle into the link.

"What about grandfather, he won't approve of this." Kyle argued but the witch didn't respond. "Your grandfather knows what happened, I placed him in the link earlier and well let's just say what I found out was shocking enough but I won't dwell on it." Adrian replied as he handed the hybrid a pendant. "This is a cursed artifact, it will protect you, don't take it off.." Adrian instructed as he stepped onto the pentagram. "You want to prove your worth to Johnny, to this family, you want to be loyal, then protect them with your life, and when you get killed, walk it off." Adrian ordered a slightly terrified hybrid.

The man nodded just as Adrian made the pentagram flare up in flames and he vanished, he found himself directly in the heart of enemy territory but that didn't really concern him, he wanted to find Mr. Milford, destroy everything and get out hopefully alive. He walked toward a secluded corner of what seemed to be a maze underground but it seemed the demons had carved out the place underneath the docks and made a permanent home, there was a center point where all the halls converged, he just needed to get to the east  without being spotted but it wasn't going to be easy, his former friends and the former vampire head were there as well.

He knew this wasn't going to be a smooth run but he needed to do it anyway, he was in the south hall, and judging by the number of doors behind him, he was somewhere near the center point, Adrian waved his hand and lino the black spider turned cat appeared, Adrian wondered how he was able to do this, it was only four in the morning, he was still recalling events of yesterday afternoon where he was fighting yet another demon, this was exhausting. "Scout ahead, kill anyone you see but remain unseen." Adrian instructed the familiar who nodded and turned into a black mamba with an orange rune on its body which slithered away silently.

Adrian waited a few minutes, four acute thuds were heard and he knew it was Lino killing anyone he saw, Adrian then made a dash for the center point of the underground maze he was in, Lino was waiting silently for him, the familiar immediately slithered to Adrian and covered him in darkness, just then, five distinct footsteps moved past Adrian, he thanked Lino for his superior senses, once the danger had past Lino was a cat. "We need to find a bound siren, can you sense anything I can't?" Adrian questioned the cat and he mentally refused, there was nothing he could sense.

Adrian pressed his fingers onto the walls and radiated his magic into the east wing, he found what he was looking for, in a very complicated situation, regardless he made a run for the tenth door on the right side, he hoped no one spotted him, he used magic to slip in past the wall, he hadn't mastered that ability so he was adamant to use it. "Why does that kid get to have what I wanted, to hell with being damned I want my wife damnit!" The vampire yelled as he banged on the coffin with Jax's father, beside him was the demon who was identical to him.

"We need the boy's magic to maintain the portal to the demonic plane, if we perform the spell alone without a sufficient amount of power and mana supply, all of us could die, the veil isn't easily broken, only a witch blessed by the goddess can travel in between the two worlds and any other realms created by the goddess or by the magic of mystics, isn't that right Adrian." The man spoke turning to meet him dead in the eye, the witch was supposed to be angry or afraid but he wasn't, he was as calm as ever. "I wouldn't know, is it?" Adrian replied the demon without breaking eye contact.

"I supposed you're here for dear father in law." The demon surmised and Adrian nodded with a half smile. "I won't burn down this place if you give him to me." Adrian asserted as he kept a good distance away from the demons. "Adrian I understand what you must feel after all that was done to get us here, your siblings, I'm very sorry for it happening, but it was necessary so that I could have you help me." The man announced shocking both Leyton and Adrian.

"Help you, you're kidding me." The medium replied as he looked at the man. "The demonic realm is going to be destroyed, it was a beautiful place, a whole planet of our own, that the mystics of Greeneway Bay sealed us on, it had everything on it except in that reality there weren't other mystics, just demons only, we hunger for power, and that led to destruction, what was once beautiful is desolate, the human race of that existence was wiped out due to our wars." The man explained as he showed images of everything he was saying. "I don't intend on bringing back a horde of evils that wants power, I just want to save my family, please Adrian." The demon finally begged looking at the witch.

"Then why Jax's father, why everything that happened?" Adrian questioned but before he was answered he felt himself being stabbed in the back by a very sharp object, blood bubbled from his mouth, he turned to see Leyton behind him holding the blade with a sinister smile on his face. "You're so easy to trick Adrian, you never pay attention to your surroundings." The vampire mused as he looked at Adrian on the floor writhing in agony. "It's poisoned, so it will kill you." The vampire announced with a gleeful smile on his face as Adrian watched, betrayal truly hurt.
