Mediocre Man
I was raised by the river a long way from town
Down where the dirt's more red than brown
Just a regular guy with a big screen TV
Trying to get what's coming to me
I'm not saying I'm special
Though I reckon I am
Just haven't figured out what this world's all about
Or why I owe a hundred grand
I'm a mediocre man in a mediocre world
Trying to find a mediocre girl
I'm not saying life's easy
Or I'm good at solving clues
I put my pants on two legs at a time
Same as I do with my shoes
It's been six months of Sundays since I run into my ex
I sure do miss our mediocre sex
I'm not saying you're not pretty
Oh, I reckon you are
And I'm handsome enough I've heard the girls say
When they close their eyes and lower the bar
I'm a mediocre man in a mediocre world
Just trying to find a mediocre girl
