Six years after Ramesh's disappearance...

Sumya was doing much better now.She even through her last bottle of depressants out the window.She had paid al the loans and she had started fresh.Clean page!

Sumya just bustled around the house, getting Medha ready for her first day of first grade. Only Medha and Sumya lived in the apartment now- the rest of her family moved to a different state, getting along with their own life.

"Mommy?Will school take longer time?" Medha asked curiously, "When will I see you again?"

"It won't take too long!You will have lots of fun sweetie!" Sumya chirped in excitement.Now placing the tiny bag around Medha's shoulders.

"Come one dear, we don't want to be late!" she said, dragging daughter out of the house and into the tiny car that she was able to purchase.

Buckling in,they started riding to school.

"Okay ma'am!Since you guys actually missed the first week of school, you might not be aware but it is Father and Daughter school day.You can tell your husband to come over this afternoon for the celebrations!" the receptionist said will a smile as she read over the form.

"oh, her dad is not actually-umm, he..."Sumya struggled to give a proper response.

"Are you divorced?" the receptionist asked.

"No but we dont live together, he left us."

"Hmmm, that isn't quiet good for the child's mental health,are you sure your daughter is happy with you?"

"What?Ofcourse..."

"Umm okay..." the receptionist replied unsurely before guiding them to the classroom. Sumya quickly dropped Medha off before heading to work.

She could only sigh as she thought of all the kids enjoying with their father- Medha just didn't have that luxury.Tears started flowing down Sumya's cheeks as she walked out of the school yard.

That evening Sumya came to pick Medha up from school.

"How was school darling?" Sumya asked casually.

"Good!We had a father daughter celebration and it was so much fun!" Medha replied cheekily. Sumya only frowned.

"But, daddy wasn't there will you so..."Sumya began.

"Mommy I know! He left us, he never showed any love like a normal dad," Medha said calmly, "So don't call him my dad cause he doesn't deserve that title."

Sumya only nodded, she really was blessed with angel- how can a seven year  be so understanding?

"Mommy!You are my mommy and daddy!You are the best!" Medha squealed before hugging her mother whole only smiled back.A genuine smile.
