"We have been calling all of the contacts on this girl's phone, but you're the first person to pick up."

Michael was mildly confused for two reasons. He didn't know who was talking to him, and he didn't know why Sadie would still have Jeremy's number.

"Uh... who is this?"

The line went silent for a moment. "It's the hospital." The woman on the other line spoke as if that was a fact Michael should've known simply from her voice, even though he had probably never met her before, even though he saw most of the staff when Jeremy was in the hospital.

"Okay, well Sadie and I weren't really on the best terms, so I don't exactly know what you want."

"All of the rubble was searched through at the prison thanks to many volunteers. Sadie was one of two survivors, as well as some guy who is unidentifiable. However, she is unconscious and in critical condition."

Of course, Michael wasn't very upset about the news. One person he hated was dead, the other was dying.

"Are you able to come to the hospital in the morning?"

Michael whined. "Do I have to?"

"It would be greatly appreciated."

"Ugh, fine. But I'm bring my boyfriend."

With that, Michael hung up.

Jeremy, who dozed off at some point while Michael was on his phone, was now awake again."

"What did Sadie want?" Jeremy spoke with his words slurred together, which was super cute to Michael. Then again, everything about Jeremy was super cute to Michael, but this was exceptionally cute.

Michael reached over and ruffled Jeremy's messy hair, causing the boy to cringe.

Michael laughed before answering Jeremy's question.

"It was the hospital and- well first of all, Christine is definitely dead. I know you used to like her, but soon you'll realize it was probably for the best."

At this, Jeremy forced a weak smile which grew ever so slightly in the span of a few seconds. That's one less thing off of his plate, as terrible as that sounded in retrospect.

"Apparently Sadie is in critical condition- for some reason she was at the prison by the way- and they wanted us to visit her tomorrow. She might not be awake considering she is unconscious as of now, but there is the possibility that she'd be up."

Jeremy yawned and nodded, gripping onto the fabric of Michael's sweatshirt and pulling him closer.

It took a few minutes, but the boys were back asleep.

-

In the morning, Michael woke up, stretched his arms up and accidentally hit Jeremy in the face. Jeremy didn't wake up after this, but Michael couldn't help but to apologize profusely at this.

As a sleepy Michael walked into the kitchen, he realized he was out of coffee.

"Damnit," he muttered, scribbling a note for Jeremy in case he woke up.

Michael walked the few blocks to the café and ordered two cups of coffee and two cake donuts. He rolled his eyes at the misspelling of his name on his cup of coffee, and then he was on his way back to Jeremy's.

Unsurprisingly, snow began to fall again in the midst of Michael's walk, but he didn't mind.

Michael slid his slightly damp coat off after he set the coffee down and walked to the living room where Jeremy was still sleeping.

So, Michael poked Jeremy's stomach- which Jeremy hated. After a few more tries, Jeremy woke up and swatted Michael's hand away.

Jeremy sat up quicker than he should have at the mention of donuts and happily munched on it, sipping his coffee occasionally.

He and Michael both got dressed and got into the car where they loudly sung along to Michael's playlist on the way to the hospital.

Michael parked in the same spot he used to every day and walked around to Jeremy's side of the car. Jeremy wasn't paying attention and was still staring at his phone. Because of this, Michael opened Jeremy's door and slowly gestured.

"M'lady," Michael said, causing Jeremy to giggle.

With that, the two walked hand in hand to the receptionist's desk and then to Sadie's room.

An unfamiliar doctor explained what was happening with Sadie's health, but both Michael and Jeremy couldn't help but to zone out.

They really didn't care all that much.

Eventually the doctor left and Michael and Jeremy sat on the tiny plastic seats, uncomfortably shifting as they stared at Sadie uneasily.

Jeremy pointed out every time Sadie twitched in her state of unconsciousness, but this didn't happen often.

Of course, as soon as Michael and Jeremy started to leave, they heard a short period of rustling in the sheets.

Just their luck, Sadie was awake.

Michael stood protectively in front of Jeremy, not knowing what to expect.

Sadie looked around at her surroundings for several minutes, before opening her mouth to speak.

"Uh... w-who are you?"

A/N:Again, sorry it's been awhile. Don't quote me on this, but I might have another chapter up later. ALSO the Camp Camp season finale was so sad? Like I love Max a lot. Okay, I'm done.
