Sadie was driving on the highway still, but she all but slammed on the brakes when she saw the sign.
The car behind her swerved just in time to not cause a fatal accident, but the driver flipped Sadie off anyways, not that she didn't deserve it.
"Hey uh, Squip?" Sadie clicked her tongue, which was a habit she always had, usually only occurring when she was mad.
When it heard this, the Squip started to rethink it's decisions.
Yes..?
"Weren't we just in Pennsylvania?"
Yeah, we were.
"Then why the fuck are we back?" Sadie spoke slowly at first before her tone took a turn for the worst.
The Squip was used to seeing Sadie angry. This time, Sadie was seething. The Squip had never, ever seen her this angry, and it didn't want to stick around any longer to see it.
Sadly for the Squip, it had to stay in order to convince Sadie to keep going back home.
Alright, you'll already be in prison much longer than planned, considering you did commit another felony. However, your jail time won't decrease at all, if anything it'll increase. You should probably keep that in mind.
Sadie knew that the Squip had a good point, but remember- Sadie always got her way. If it wasn't her idea, she wanted nothing to do with it. Hence why she changed Christine's plan so much.
Sadie hated the fact that she still liked Christine. Not only this, but she's also terrified of her. As much as she wanted Christine to be hers, she didn't want to face the girl in her current state.
She saw the aftermath of Christine's actions. She saw how traumatized Jeremy was, how horrified Michael looked when she told him to break up with Jeremy.
Sadie enjoyed their pain. Maybe not as much as she initially thought, but that didn't stop her entertainment.
To Sadie, watching other people's lives fall apart was like a tv show, only a hundred times more entertaining.
At the moment, Sadie had two big decisions to make. She could wait a little bit longer for one of the options, but right now she had to decide in whether to turn around or keep heading back home.
All of a sudden, the station on the radio played a familiar song. Sadie couldn't think of the name at first, but she remembered a few seconds in.
She forced a throaty chuckle when she realized. "Should I Stay or Should I Go, how ironic."
For some reason, the Squip found Sadie's lack of enthusiasm hilarious. It tried with all of it's might to hold back the laughter, but it was close to impossible.
It expected Sadie to be even madder when she heard it laugh. She was, but she covered it up with a much more realistic laugh.
If the Squip wasn't inside of Sadie's head, he would probably be convinced by the laugh.
Except he was inside of her head, and the insults she spewed towards it was too much for even the Squip to handle.
The Squip swallowed air and hovered next to Sadie uncomfortably, wondering if it should say anything.
It decided that the situation was bad enough, so it kept quiet, fighting back all urge to just disappear into thin air.
Sadie decided to just keep going forward for now. She had the ability to turn around if she wanted to, so she decided to leave it at that.
Sadie made the other decision too, unbeknownst to the Squip who wasn't paying attention in the slightest.
Sadie was especially thankful for this, as she didn't want the Squip to talk her out of it. For now, she kept her focus on the road, waiting to encounter a larger town to stop.
Sadie drove through the middle of nowhere for what seemed like forever. Despite this, there was much more traffic than necessary. Sadie managed to avoid most of the traffic on the way westward, but she couldn't back out of it now.
She was growing more and more impatient by the second, frustrated with how little she was moving.
At least an hour later, Sadie was able to return to her normal pace as the traffic cleared up.
She turned off of the highway onto a smaller road, which thankfully lead just where she wanted to go.
First, she stopped at a larger grocery store endlessly browsing through the fully stocked aisles.
She looked everywhere, but couldn't find it.
Sadie ran her hands through her tangled hair in annoyance before getting back into her car.
She drove about a mile to what appeared to be a small convenience store. She parked outside and got out of the car, walking in.
As soon as she stepped in, she saw it. The Squip was paying attention this time and saw what she was looking at.
You don't know what you're doing!
"I'm fairly sure I do, thank you very much. I don't remember asking for your input though."
Before the Squip responded, Sadie was able to purchase the item.
She walked back into the car before driving off to an abandoned parking lot. She didn't want anyone to hear, just in case.
Even though I hate you with a burning passion, you'll regret this.
Sadie didn't let another thought hold her back before she took a rather large swig of the unnaturally red liquid.
It felt like she was being repeatedly stabbed in her brain, but then it was all over.
With that, Sadie moved back onto the highway with no interruptions.
A/N: I'm probably already working on the next chapter by now, I need to stop.
