Surprisingly, this week of school went by extremely quickly.
It was pretty awkward though, because at this point neither Jeremy or Michael were used to the friend zone.
They didn't tell anyone about the break up, but people kind of just assumed with their lack of being all over each other.
Words could not describe how much the two of them wanted the past few months to disappear.
Tomorrow would mark the first day of winter break.
Michael and Jeremy were planning on going on a really cheesy date in the snow, but that plan would most likely be ruined.
Michael already bought Jeremy's Hanukkah present, which he was still planning on giving him.
The meaning behind the present would probably change though, because both of their hearts were crushed by their good old pal, Sadie.
Michael and Jeremy both caught Sadie glaring at them, but Jeremy pretended not to notice.
Of course both of them though that Sadie didn't know. How were they supposed to know that Jeremy's basement was bugged?
Sadie realized that she had to do something fast.
She was visiting Christine tomorrow.

Jeremy couldn't go home with Michael, which was understandable as he had to run an errand which he was really vague about, but Michael didn't dwell on it.
So, Michael walked home alone given he didn't bring his car today.
He felt a tap on his shoulder, so naturally he turned around.
He saw Sadie, who looked extremely mad. He only saw her for a split second, and then he felt the impact of a fist on his face.
Michael expected a lot more. He thought he would be unconscious in the field he was in for a while, knocked out like he was when Christine beat him up.
So, Michael winced, bracing himself for more impact, but nothing happened. After a minute he opened his eyes.
Sadie was gone.
Michael was thoroughly confused. He knew he would probably have a black eye, maybe a bloody nose, but he expected more. Where were the broken bones? Where were the cuts requiring stitches?
Michael had to laugh at his thoughts. It probably wasn't normal for a boy his age to expect needing stitches every time someone hit him, but it was the price he had to pay for knowing Christine.
He shook it off, but he was still wary of his surroundings as he walked home.

The next day, Sadie was pretty nervous.
She couldn't believe that she chickened out after punching Michael. She just got flashbacks from her dream and she didn't know what to do so she ran.
Now, she had to face Christine.
She shouldn't have been scared. Christine couldn't do anything while she was locked up. Sadie didn't know why she was so worried about what Christine thought, so she just tried to push the worry at the back of her mind away.
She pulled up to the jail and parked before walking up to the front desk and signing in.
Sadie ignored the butterflies fluttering around in her stomach and walked into the room for visitors.
She awaited Christine on the other side.
A good five minutes later, Christine arrived.
Despite being locked up for a while now, Sadie couldn't help but to think Christine looked really pretty. Of course Sadie shook the thought away as soon as it emerged, but her opinion still stood.
After a minute of silence, Christine spoke up. "So... did you do anything?"
"Oh uh yeah? I made Michael break up with Jeremy and-"
"And?"
"I t-told him that if he told Jeremy why they broke up I'd hurt Jeremy."
Christine leaned forward, closer to the glass now. "I'm intrigued, go on."
Sadie took a deep breath. She didn't know what was wrong with her, she never usually stuttered. "Well, I bugged Jeremy's basement and Michael still told him the day of." Her tone showed clear disappointment.
Christine however, remained intrigued, not noticing Sadie's disappointed expression. "So... did you?" She couldn't specifically talk about hurting Jeremy or else she'd be dragged away immediately.
"No, but today I walked up to Michael and punched him an-" Sadie's face fell.
Christine was quickly growing impatient. "And?"
"That's it," Sadie spoke meekly.
Christine was getting pretty angry at this point. Before she could say something showing her anger, Sadie spoke up.
"It's just... I chickened out, I'm sorry. I'm really trying I just-" Sadie was trying not to cry. "I-I like you, okay?"
Christine's jaw widened and quickly snapped back into place.
"I am going to give you a choice. You can either seriously hurt at least one of them and the two of us will be together."
On the other hand, you can keep chickening out chicken out, but as soon as I get out of here, I will hurt you."
This caught the guards attention as he stood up, ready to drag Christine away.
"Choose wisely."
With that, Christine blew Sadie a kiss and then walked away.
A/N: I'm thinking it's going to be a three chapter kinda day today!
