As upset as she was when she got home, Sadie had something to look forward to. Actually, she had two of these things.

In just one week, Sadie would be able to visit Christine in jail to tell her how the plan was playing out. Sure, Sadie modified the plan just a touch, but she was pretty sure Christine wouldn't mind.

Secondly, as soon as she launched the program, she would be able to see if Michael did the one thing he wasn't supposed to- telling Jeremy about their little chat.

She remembered the moment all too well- probably because it was only a few hours ago, but it certainly seemed like it happened days ago.

Funny how much can happen in a day.

After Sadie and Jeremy talked for a while before the incident, Sadie had to go to the bathroom- or that's what she told Jeremy.

Coincidentally, there was a restroom right next to the entrance to the basement.

Sadie knew that Jeremy and Michael spent most of the time in the basement, probably playing video games in each other's laps or something. At this thought, Sadie cringed. Her 'crush' on Jeremy was growing, and so was the urge to crush Michael.

Anyways, Sadie went down into the basement, turned on the light, and looked around.

"Aha!" Sadie whisper-shouted to herself.

She spotted the vase on the small table in the middle of the room, containing dying flowers that Michael probably gave Jeremy. Sadie couldn't help but to scoff at the plants. For one, it was incredibly cheesy, and two, the vase didn't have any water. No wonder the flowers were dying, much like Sadie's tolerance towards Michael.

Seriously, Sadie had to pretend to like nerd stuff to strike up conversation with Michael. She had never even heard of Apocalypse of the Damned before Christine mentioned it, so she did some research the night before she met Michael.

Sadie was extremely thankful that Michael didn't invite her over to play. In reality, she knew nothing about the game, but Michael would never invite her over now, so she didn't have to worry.

To Sadie, Jeremy didn't seem like the kind of person to keep flowers- or any disposable artifact. Of course, Jeremy kept pretty much everything Michael gave him, but Sadie didn't know that.

Then again, Sadie wouldn't think Jeremy would fall for a terrible person like Christine, but she probably didn't show her true colors then.

Sadie realized that she was standing there for too long. Jeremy would start to get suspicious, so she had to hurry things up.

Sadie quickly took out some of the flowers and dropped the wire she was concealing in the vase. With that, she made her way upstairs, carrying a smug look on her face.

Before entering the living room where Jeremy still sat crying, a thought breezed through Sadie's mind. "That's one point for me, I can hear everything now."

Now, she sat at her desk, the constantly streaming file opened on the computer.

She went back to the beginning of the feed, kicked her feet up onto her desk, and listened for what she needed to know.

Frankly, Sadie was relieved when she faintly heard Michael saying that he wouldn't tell Jeremy why he broke up with him.

All in all, Sadie really didn't want to physically hurt Jeremy. Surprisingly, she wasn't as much of a ruthless monster as Christine was. She knew that Jeremy has been through a lot of physical and emotional trauma recently, and she really didn't want to overdo it even more than it already was. Plus, Sadie couldn't deny her attraction towards the boy.

There was nothing but the sound of Jeremy sniveling for about half an hour, and then Sadie's headphones were filled with the sound of snores.

She was about to close out the tab, but she heard the very faint sound of a door shutting and footsteps making their way towards Jeremy.

Of course, it was Michael.

Sadie looked at the time of the recording after pausing it.

Sadie let a deep and totally fake chuckle fall from her lips. "He should've been dead by now."

She pressed play, and her jaw dropped.

She knew Michael wouldn't have been able to last long, but she thought he'd have more self control than to tell Jeremy in less than twenty-four hours.

Again, Sadie didn't want to hurt Jeremy, but she made a deal with Christine.

Sadie knew it wasn't worth it to make Christine mad.

Maybe she'd just attempt to harm Michael instead.
