It's been a few days since Jeremy woke up. His physical health wasn't great- and neither was his mental health.

Just when he was improving, everything collapsed again.

The universe must've hated him or something, this was most definitely not Jeremy's year.

He took a bit of time to reflect on the past few months. The only good thing that happened whatsoever was Michael being his secret admirer and then when the two finally started dating.

The whole secret admirer thing felt like it was so long ago, despite it only being a little bit over a month.

To think that Jeremy was supposed to leave the hospital just a few days ago, before everything fell apart for the third time.

Wasn't life great?

On top of all of this, his teachers decided that Jeremy was out of school for too long and gave him over a month's worth of classwork, homework, essays, and tests.

Here Jeremy was, still connected to an IV with medication flowing through his veins at set times, which really freaked Jeremy out. His stomach was wrapped in gauze from the stab wounds.

The doctor obviously hadn't sterilized the knives or scalpels before he used them, causing most of Jeremy's wounds to quickly become infected. Twice a day nurses would change the gauze, apply some sort of antiseptic ointment, and check to make sure none of the staples had fallen out yet.

Jeremy was in quite a bit of pain, surprisingly more than when he was shot.

If a few months ago Jeremy was told that he would've been shot and cut up by his ex, and then stabbed several times by her dad- who was a doctor- he wouldn't believe it. He would straight up tell the person that they were insane, and that would be that.

The whole situation was painfully ironic in Jeremy's eyes, he almost wanted to just laugh at it.

However, If he laughed too hard, sometimes the areas between his ribs hurt. Fun.

Jeremy was not particularly enjoying his life currently. He was sat there on a hospital bed doing a month's work of schoolwork. The teachers should have done this a long time ago, they shouldn't have waited a month!

At least Michael was coming over today, that's usually all Jeremy had to look forward to.

Words could not describe how thankful Jeremy was for Michael.

He's the only person who had been there for Jeremy through all of this, despite the things Jeremy did to him. First it was the Squip, then it was Christine.

Jeremy had really been terrible towards Michael before, and he felt so, so bad about it.

As if on cue, Michael walked into the room. Jeremy wanted to run out and hug him, but he apparently couldn't leave his bed. He was recovering though, hopefully he got out soon. He's been here far to long.

Michael went over and hugged Jeremy lightly, trying to avoid his wounds. Jeremy sat up, closing the gap between them. It's only been two days, but Jeremy missed Michael so much.

-

That day, Michael and Jeremy decided something. They were too tired to do it today and they would need permission from a nurse or doctor- which wouldn't be easy.

Either way, they were going to try- even though it probably wasn't a great idea.

It was the next day, and the two waited until one of the nicer nurses came in.

Thankfully, it didn't take long for that to happen. Now, the convincing part wouldn't be as difficult, but it still might not work.

While the nurse was checking the equipment around Jeremy, he decided to ask her the question.

"Hey, um can I ask you something?" The nurse looked at Jeremy, mildly concerned. "Sure," she replied.

"This sounds crazy, trust me, I know. But I was just wondering if it was at all possible that I could visit Christine in her room?"

The nurse gave Jeremy a skeptical look, which was completely understandable.

"Hear me out. I would have Michael come with me and if we are in immediate danger we will leave right then and there."

"Well... I don't know, after everything she did an-" Jeremy was giving the nurse his best puppy dog eyes, which were more hilarious than convincing- at least to Michael who burst out laughing.

The nurse huffed. "I'll see what I can do."

-

The nurse came back later, agreeing to the plan as long as she was allowed to wait outside of Christine's room while Michael and Jeremy were in there.

The nurse also decided it would be easier for Jeremy to go in a wheelchair rather than walking, so she went to go get one.

Michael looked at his boyfriend who seemed on edge.  "Nervous?" Jeremy sighed and nodded slowly.

"I won't let her hurt you, I promise," Michael held out his pinky as a way to reassure Jeremy. They did it all the time as kids, they just never ceased the habit.

Jeremy intertwined his pinky with Michael's, causing him to laugh slightly at the behavior.

Soon enough, the nurse walked in with a wheelchair and helped Jeremy off of his bed. Michael pushed him along, fear growing in the pit of his stomach.

He knew that Christine could do some serious damage, he just hoped she wouldn't do anymore.

They took the elevator down a few floors and went towards Christine's room. They opened the door and Christine- with her eyes closed- spoke.

"Go away." They waited a moment. Christine was getting aggravated. "Are you deaf? I said-" she opened her eyes, trailing off. "Oh, it's you,"

Her voice sounded like it was filled with venom. "I wasn't expecting you guys."

Jeremy and Michael both shifted uncomfortably, gripping onto each other's hands.

"Alright, Michael. While you're here, give me some damn Mountain Dew Red or I will not hesitate to kill you."

While it should've been an easy decision for Michael, he really didn't know what to do.
