As she sat in the car holding the Mountain Dew Red, Christine thought back on the past year.

Her life was so messed up.

About a year ago, before the accident, Christine would never hurt a soul. She would never dream of going to jail, and for attempted murder? Christine didn't want herself to realize the monster she had become.

So, she didn't drink the Mountain Dew.

The Squip managed to convince Christine to hide a strike-on-anything match in her small ponytail, which worked surprisingly well.

As much as Christine hated the Squip, which was a lot, she knew she would be put into her own cell this time. She knew that it would be awfully lonely, so she kept the Squip along.

She wasn't worried about people thinking she was going crazy, everyone thought she was already gone. I mean, she didn't think about it when it happened, but she did attempt murder twice.

"God," Christine thought. "Why am I such a failure? I can't even finish off what I started. I should've taken a bullet to Jerem-"

Christine suddenly screamed while still sitting in the small car. "STOP!" By now, Christine was sobbing. She stopped crying involuntarily when an officer knocked on her window. The Squip must've blocked her tear ducts.

Christine zoned out as the police went over her rights and whatnot, imagining how her life would be had her sister not died in that crash.

What if she was the one who died?

Christine knew that her sister would probably cope worse than she did, if that was possible.

Christine's thoughts were interrupted by her getting pushed into the police car, on her way back to the place she hated.

She cringed at what the officer sitting on the passenger seat said over the phone.

"Mr. Mell, we have found Christine Canigula after searching for a while and she was put under arrest again, she won't be getting out this time. Thank you for the help, we really appreciate it!"

She was put into her cell after changing into the ugly orange jumpsuit.

Now, she was just alone in the world with nobody but the supercomputer inside of her brain.

Michael stayed true to his promise to Jeremy, going to the hospital bright and early to visit.

He stopped at Jeremy's house to gather a few things, such as clothes and the stuffed Charmander Jeremy seemed to love.

As soon as Michael walked into the door of Jeremy's room, Jeremy's eyes lit up.

Michael handed Jeremy the bag to look through before breaking the news about Christine to him.

Michael sat down at the end of Jeremy's bed, craning his neck to look towards the boy. "Did they tell you about Christine?" Jeremy gave Michael a puzzled look, tilting his head in confusion. The gesture answered Michael's question, so he continued. "Well, apparently last time she didn't get bailed from Jail- she escaped." Michael paused, watching Jeremy's jaw drop as he processed the statement.

Michael continued. "Anyways, after searching for a few days, they found her yesterday. She was put into a maximum security cell with zero chance of escaping this time."

Jeremy noticed the few tears of happiness dripping down his face, his smile growing.

Michael stood up and walked a few steps towards Jeremy, wiping his tears.

"We did it, Jeremy. We can finally say that we're safe again!"

Jeremy remembered the last time Michael said that, the last time that they thought they were safe, and the events that unfolded afterwards.

Michael seemingly read Jeremy's mind, reassuring him that it wouldn't end up like last time.

"It's going to be okay, I won't let anyone else hurt you, I promise."

Michael and Jeremy spent the rest of the day cuddling and talking about whatever their minds drifted off to. Soon enough, visiting hours came to an end.

Before walking out of the door, Michael asked Jeremy, "Same time tomorrow?"

Jeremy joked, "I'll be there."

With that, Michael walked towards his car and drove home.
