Michael kissed back, a million thoughts buzzing around his brain.

Eventually, the two had to pull away, much to their dismay. Neither of the boys knew what to say. In the midst of their silence, Michael couldn't help but think, "Stupid oxygen, being needed and stuff." He laughed at himself quietly, before deciding to say something to break the silence.

"I-I got this for you," he said, holding the plush Pokémon out to Jeremy. Michael couldn't help but notice the way Jeremy's eyes lit up as he was given the toy.

Jeremy wrapped his arms around Michael, burying his face into the boy's chest whilst giggling. I love it Michael, I can't believe you remembered my favorite Pokémon, it's been so long."

"Of course I remembered silly, I always teased you about it in like second grade," Michael was hit by a wave of nostalgia at the memory.

"So uh, anyways I brought movies and snacks in case you wanted to have like a date night sort of thing? I mean you don't have to it's just a suggestion I ca-" Jeremy cut him off by pressing his lips softly on Michael's again. Michael was speechless, so he just stood there trying not to show his utter shock.

"I would love to, Michael."

Michael smiled, pecking Jeremy's cheek.

The two of them walked into Jeremy's kitchen as Michael put the pouch of popcorn into the microwave. Jeremy pulled the yellow tulips out of the bag. "You're so cheesy," He chuckled at the sweet gesture. Michael turned around and smiled at Jeremy, blushing.

"You know you love it, you nerd."

"Well, you're not wrong, Jeremy confessed, proceeding to look through the bag filled to the brim with junk food and horror movies.

Michael admitted that the horror movies would be pretty cliche when he bought them, before he remembered the two of them usually just laughed at the special effects without getting scared.

Jeremy interrupted Michael's train of thought, "So, I'm going to go ahead and assume your cousin isn't in town?"

"Yeah, it was a pretty lame excuse, I must admit," Michael replied, grabbing the popcorn out of the microwave.

The two spread the arrangement of snacks out on the coffee table before putting on one of the movies.

Jeremy cuddled up to Michael, a blush spreading on both of their cheeks. "This is nice," Jeremy said, Michael nodding his head in agreement.

The two barely paid attention to the movie, talking about the random things in their lives.

Jeremy changed the topic and suddenly asked, "Did you really mean all of the things you put in those notes? I mean, you know how I felt about some of the things, but do you really like them about me?"

"Absolutely. Jeremy, this is really cheesy, but I promise that I love everything about you, including the things that you don't like about yourself. I know your self esteem went down quite a bit since your last relationship, but I guarantee you everything about you is amazing." Michael pressed his lips to Jeremy's forehead in a successful attempt to soothe the boy's worries.

"You're too good to me, after all that I did, what did I do to deserve you?" Michael shushed Jeremy. "Don't worry about it, I'm way over it. I couldn't imagine liking anyone else."

Jeremy went over and changed the movie, despite Michael's protests, and lied back down next to his friend.

"Wait a minute," Jeremy thought, "I should change that." So, that is exactly what he did.

Jeremy poked Michael's cheek, making the boy lock eyes with him. "So, Michael, would you like to be my boyfriend?"

"I would be honored."

The two snuggled together happily, wondering what they were ever worried about.
