2: I was waiting for you

September 5th 2017

The pink girl woke up extra early this day at the request of her club's president. Monika waited for them to arrive with tens of pamphlets and posters she had made and printed the previous day.

The 4 members agreed to scatter around the school to put up the posters on the walls and all the news bulletin boards they could find and give pamphlets to everyone they happen to see fit or at least what the shy nature of some could allow them to.

Monika headed to the third floor where the majority of the third years were. Yuri headed for the second floor where there majority of the second years were. Sayori went to the school yard and entrance due to her friendly nature allowing her to give pamphlets to all arriving students.

Finally, Natsuki headed for the first floor where the majority of the first years were.

The pink girl didn't take long to leave all of the posters given to them in every news bulletin board and seeing she still had time before classes started, she decided to look around, glancing through the windows of each classroom to maybe find some loner reading a book early in the morning before everyone arrived.

But of course, there was none.

Natsuki sighed in defeat and decided to come back later, maybe during lunch Yuri and her could walk around the school and chit chat while Yuri looked at her with that beautiful smile of hers and tell her how grateful she was to her for helping save her beloved club.

The pink girl was daydreaming again.

A daydream that once again came to an abrupt end.

Natsuki stopped dead in her tracks as she headed for the stairs but there, standing in front of the news bulletin board, was a young girl of long mint green hair and round glasses, quite cute, she had to admit.

While more and more students started filling the hallways now that there were around 5 minutes left for classes to start, the mint green haired girl stood still with her blue eyes stuck to the board.

Natsuki knew she couldn't miss this chance.

"Sup. What are you reading there?", Natsuki approached her and asked. "E-Eh? Ah, good morning, n-nothing just...", she needed to say no more as that was all the pink girl needed to see and hear.

The way her cheeks immediately blushed, the way she deviated her blue eyes constantly, the way she spoke nervous at her mere presence, the way her blue eyes casually travelled below her magenta eyes.

Sure the girl was shy but Natsuki's sort of 6th sense could tell her this girl was ridiculously gay. Natsuki internally smirked.

"Did you see that literature club poster?", Natsuki asked flashing her little fang with a smile. "Yes, I was giving it a read, why?", the green haired girl asked.

"Well, I'm a member of that club, name's Natsuki by the way, you looking for a club to join? Because if you enjoy reading and writing and that kind of stuff then this is the perfect place for you", Natsuki felt like a salesman now.

"Umm do you read something in specific or?", the girl asked as Natsuki could see the interest growing on her. "Nah, you can read anything you want, we don't judge, but you could also read together with someone else if you share interests, it's something nice because you know...", Natsuki explained and as she did, she walked closer to the glasses girl, put one hand on her shoulder and whispered near her ear.

"The literature club is full of incredibly cute girls".

Natsuki smirked satisfied as the ears and face in general of the mint green haired girl turned into a tomato with glasses.

"So! Here's a pamphlet, think about it and if you wanna join or see it for yourself come when classes are over to classroom 3-D in the third floor", Natsuki said patting her shoulder with a big toothy grin on her face to then start walking away.

But Natsuki stopped abruptly and walked backwards as she remembered something crucial.

"Just... The purple one is mine, keep that in mind", Natsuki whispered near the glasses girl's ear again and this time walked away for good, leaving the mint green haired girl confused but excited all the way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The overwhelming feeling of defeat and frustration was all over the purple girl as she returned to her classroom, having only put up posters around the second floor, unable to speak with any of the few people she happened to see not even capable of handing them pamphlets.
Yuri surely was upset at her own shyness and insecurity but hopefully she could correct that later. She thought maybe during lunch, if Natsuki happened to come again (she didn't say she'd come today too after all), maybe they could go and walk around the school together, handing pamphlets and trying to lure people in to save the club, then she could thank Natsuki for helping her save her beloved club.
Yuri found herself unconsciously smiling at the sudden daydream.
"What's good, purple neighbor!", a girl's voice suddenly crashed Yuri out of her train of thought, hearing the word purple could only mean one thing. "Y-Yes?", Yuri still trying to get back to earth, replied as she lifted her gaze and saw the girl sitting in front of her turned towards her.
Yuri then remembered the previous day Natsuki had sit there without problem because it was actually an empty seat since the person there had apparently missed the first day of school for some reason, but now, that person had come to reclaim her spot.
A girl of short brown hair, red eyes and a big friendly grin, worth mentioning the black beanie hat she was wearing, spoke once again.
"I'm Jasmine! Thought I'd introduce myself since we're neighbors now", Jasmine said still smiling. "My name is Yuri Murasaki, nice to meet you", with a quick reverence, the purple girl introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you too!", the beanie hat girl exclaimed with great joy. "Ummm y-you don't seem to-", Yuri tried to make some conversation now that someone finally talked to her.
"Oh! My looks right? It's because I'm an exchange student from America, how's my japanese by the way?", Jasmine grinned proud. "Pretty good", Yuri said with a polite smile.
"Coming to japan has been a dream of mine since I was little so I stu-", Jasmine began rambling but was soon cut her off by a male tired voice. "Good morning class, take your seats please", an old bald man of glasses said as he entered the classroom carrying a classic suitcase.
"We'll talk later", Jasmine said giving Yuri one more grin before turning around. The purple girl was relieved this year may not be as lonely as she thought would be.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"3, 2, 1...", the short girl whose magenta eyes stared at the clock on the wall mumbled, her legs tensing and ready to move. "Yay!", but the squeaky loud yell of a girl and the creaking sound of her desk suddenly turned 90 degrees to the right, trapping her in less than one second stopped her.

"I'm not gonna miss lunch with you this time!", Sayori said slamming her desk against Natsuki's to complete half of the table while Gensai calmly moved his too. "I need to go to the bathroom", Natsuki said feisty as ever, crossed arms to show herself impatient.

"That can wait! We gotta address the club situation! Here we have one possible target!", all fired up, the red bow girl almost climbed on top of the desk and pointed at the school cap boy who caused the pink girl to blink repeatedly as she thought his black eyes drifting to the side for a moment were just her imagination, now just staring back while munching on his big steak.

"Oh right... Well...", Natsuki hesitated, trying to think the situation first. "I'm not too keen on the idea of bringing a boy to the club but we're desperate for new members and at least he hasn't shown to be a simp like most boys these days, plus he ain't pretty so he most likely wouldn't be an obstacle...".

"Alright, you'll do", Natsuki sighed. "Whaf?", Gensai asked tilting his head confused.

"We want to present to you, the opportunity of a life time!!", Sayori shouted and slammed one of the pamphlets onto the desk before Gensai. "Literature club?", he asked while he gave it a quick read.

"Ye, come with us after class and we'll show you where to sign", Natsuki replied. "Sorry dudes, I already have a club", the school cap boy said grinning.

"No you don't! Now join you fool!", Natsuki exclaimed with great feast. "Pretty please!", Sayori pleaded with puppy eyes.

"I refuse! But...", Gensai paused. "But what?", Natsuki almost demanded.

"I know of someone that doesn't have a club yet", Gensai grinned widely, almost deviously and took a bite of his steak. "Give me that, I'll show it to my friend and we'll see how it goes", he continued with mouth full. Natsuki felt a bit anxious but did her best to shake it off.

"Okay then... I'm going to the bathroom now, I've held back long enough!", her words were as fast as the sound as the pink girl successfully escaped while Sayori got distracted by a butterfly that entered through the window nearby.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"She won't come, will she?", that was the only thing going through the shy bookworm's mind while she tried to pay attention to her new classmate of the beanie hat while she spoke about her experience in Japan.
"So what do you think about it?", Jasmine asked. "E-Eh?", Yuri replied completely lost.
"Haha! Gotcha there! Sup? What's on your mind that has you so distracted purple neighbor?", Jasmine asked resting her arms on the seat back of the chair. "No-Nothing really...", as she spoke, the beanie hat girl was able to see one wonderful smile that appeared for a brief second, her violet eyes glancing to the right where the door should be before focusing on her again with a more nervous expression now.
"I can smell what the Rock is cooking!", Jasmine exclaimed with a big grin while she saw Yuri's violet orbs discreetly glancing back and forth to the door behind her, almost pleading. "See you later then! I'll go see a friend in other class!", Jasmine stood up and as she did, Yuri gave her a quick nod and a smile to then fully focus on the door again.
As she walked towards there, a short pink haired cutie and her crossed paths and eyes, red and magenta meeting as she could feel the threatening message she wanted to express.
The beanie hat girl simply giggled quietly and continued her way, coolly walking with her hands inside her blazer's pockets.
"H-Hi", Yuri said with a brighter smile as the pink girl plopped on Jasmine's now empty chair. "Hey", Natsuki replied looking away, no blush this time, instead, frowning dark pink eyebrows.
Yuri started growing anxious but she quickly pulled out her lunchbox still smiling. "I-I didn't know if you would come today too but-", Yuri started her speech but the feisty one was quick to speak her mind.
"Ah ok. Sorry for interrupting then", Natsuki kept frowning and looking away, her pouty expression visible from Mexico. "I-Interrupt what?", Yuri asked nervous.
"I should just go back to-", Natsuki put her hands on the desk and was about to push herself up but Yuri raised her voice. "I-I was waiting for you...! ...to start eating!", Yuri gathered a great amount of courage but progressively lowered her tone.
Natsuki's expression softened little by little as Yuri continued to speak. "I-I also brought this for you", she then opened the lunch box and grabbed a white chocolate bar.
"I-I didn't know what you'd bring for lunch so I thought just bringing a c-candy would be okay...", Yuri lowered her gaze, reaching out her hand with the candy on it.
Natsuki almost teared up but did her best to hold back and mentally slapped herself for her dumb behavior. "Thanks and s-sorry for acting weird...", Natsuki leaned back on the chair running her fingertips across the chocolate's wrapper, head low in shame.
"I-I don't really understand why but it's okay", Yuri smiled warmly at her. Natsuki's heart once again was pierced.
"A-Anyways, just go on and eat!", Natsuki said as she nervously ripped off the wrapper of her candy. "W-Why didn't you bring lunch today? If I may ask of course...", Yuri asked shyly.
"I did! But I was really hungry earlier so I ate all of it, sorry", looking away as usual, was the pinkette. "I-I see, sorry for-", Yuri threw her signature apology.
"You apologetic worm, stop that!", Natsuki pointed the half eaten chocolate at her. "S-Sor- Okay", the purple one couldn't help but giggle, she just felt like it all of sudden.
"Music to my ears~", the feisty one dreamily thought, smiling at the cute sound. "So? Did you find any possible members so far?", Natsuki quickly asked before Yuri could notice her fool smile.
"Not yet, what about you?", Yuri denied with her head and spoke. "I may have two on the way!", giving Yuri the gift of the cutest image she'd see that day, Natsuki made a peace sign and grinned cutely, which as you can guess, caused the purple one to lightly blush.
"You're wonderf-!! I-I mean that's w-w-wonderful!!", her subconscious spoke for her at first, but the purple haired tomato avoided certain death, maybe a little bit late as Natsuki's face burnt in hell.
"I-I'm so sorry!", Yuri covered her face with both hands. "D-Don't be... Ummmm wanna hear something funny though?", Natsuki tried to change the topic before her heart exploded.
Yuri nodded, her original skin color returning little by little as she uncovered her pretty face. "One of those possible members, I talked to her this morning and she... Don't ask me how I know it, I just do, but she seemed hella gay", the pink haired girl snorted.
"I-isn't it bad to make fun of that?", purple head tilting as she asked. "Eh? No! I mean I'm not making fun of that just the fact that she was so gay that all it seemed to take to convince her was telling her that the club was full of cute girls", Natsuki chuckled.
"M-Myself included?", Yuri suddenly asked, fingers running through a prominent strand of her, deep blush on her smooth cheeks, violet eyes that avoided eye contact with her.
Natsuki was now the ghost rider.
"I-I-I said full, alright?! Think what you want but it's not like I'm saying you're cute or anything you hear!!", Natsuki stood up to reassert dominance, pointing at her purple clubmate with the now empty wrapper.
Yuri nodded a bit scared but still, her body and heart could only tell her to smile.
"And wipe that smile off your face", Natsuki huffed as she plopped on the chair again with classic tsundere pose of arms crossed and look away. Yuri simply hid half her face behind her thick book nearby.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Whyyyyy!!", souring through the skies with a diving plancha, Sayori aimed for the pinkette that looked to return to her seat. Natsuki simply dodged, letting Sayori crash and burn onto the teacher's desk to continue her way.

"Everything good with your stomach?", Gensai threw an apple juice bottle at her as she walked by. "Ye, all good", Natsuki caught the juice no problem and removed the cap as she sat down.

"By the way, one quick question about your club", the school cap boy said without turning around. "Yeah?", our favorite pinkette replied.

"How many girls are in your club?", Gensai asked. "4, we're just girls so far, hopefully no boys will join in the near future. Why?", Natsuki sighed and asked a bit curious.

"I think you may have a new member real soon, wahahaha!", Gensai laughed and Natsuki didn't really understand a damn thing about it, or at least, she didn't want to think about the worst outcome.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay everyone! Say hello to our new member! May you introduce yourself?", Monika asked the mint green haired girl who literally just entered, glanced around at all four members and approached Monika the moment she mentioned something about joining to proceed and do the necessary paper work.
"My name is Omiko Imai, I'm a first year and I'm looking forward to work with all of you, senpais", Omiko did a nice reverence as she finished, standing in the teacher's podium.
"Yay! Welcome and thanks for joining!", Sayori, so out of nowhere that Randy Orton would be proud, locked Omiko in a side hug, causing her face to blush madly.
"Welcome, thank you for joining our club, my name's Yuri", the purple haired girl said as she approached and bowed her gratefulness, Omiko blushed lightly as her blue eyes sparkled at the beauty before her but noticed the air feeling heavier all of sudden.
"Don't forget I brought you here", Natsuki smiled but her face was as scary as pennywise the clown coming out of the drain hole as her magenta eyes glared at the mint green haired girl piercing through her soul, who immediately remembered Natsuki's words earlier that day.
"N-Nice to meet you, Yuri-senpai", Omiko immediately gave up there. "These girls without manners are Natsuki and Sayori, and I'm Monika, don't worry I'll make sure you feel at home here", Monika smiled sweetly as she stood face to face with Omiko and carefully fixed her slightly crooked glasses due to Sayori's side hug.
"Hah! You got one member, congratulations! You're an official club now! Too bad you'll disappear soon!", a white haired girl whose veins were popping out on her temples, frowning and funnily pouting as she spoke from the clubroom's door.
"What are you doing here, Tsurugi?", Monika sighed annoyed, having to stop her little moment with the new member to go and confront the white haired girl. "I just came to make sure you follow the rule of 5 members", Tsurugi replied visibly frustrated.
"Well, we do, you can leave now, shoo, shoo", Monika sighed and used her right hand to shoo the girl of the white hair buns. "That's not how you should treat the student council president!", Tsurugi's protested madly.
"Then act like one", the brunette simply responded as she started closing the door. "You better come to my office later to submit the proper application form of your new member!", the white haired girl shouted from outside after Monika closed the door in her face.
"Sorry you had to see that", Monika smiled awkwardly at her clubmates. "She really wants our club gone", Sayori twitched her mouth sad.
"Like I said yesterday, over my dead body", Monika messed her peach colored hair playfully to reassure her. "6 more to go", Natsuki sighed and then, a knocking on their door came.
"Ugh... What does she want now...", The white ribbon girl grunted annoyed, guessing the white haired student council president was back to get on her nerves. "What now?! I told I'd c- oh my God, I'm so sorry!", Monika had started talking, clearly angry while she opened the door, stopping dead in her tracks as she saw the person in the other side to then apologize with her all might.
"Don't sweat the small stuff", winking and grinning, a girl of low twintails of stylish black hair, light brown eyes as tall as the literature club president before her, exclaimed.
"Please come in", Monika smiled relieved as she opened the door for her. "Thank you very much", the twintailed girl said as she walked in a scanned the room, or rather, the girls inside from head to bottom.
While she did, the black haired girl was quick to catch the message as the short pink haired cutie discreetly side stepped closer to the tall purple haired beauty and glared daggers at her.
"What can we do for you? Are you here because of the posters we put up?", the red bow girl bounced her way as she spoke. "More less, a friend of mine talked to me about this club and gave me this pamphlet, so I decided to come and check it out", the twintailed girl said looking at Sayori in the eye with a sweet smile.
"You must be Gen's friend!", Sayori exclaimed happy. "Yeah...", the twintailed girl replied, turning towards the mint green haired girl whose eyes she was able to feel on herself, immediately smirking as Omiko blushed lightly and looked away when she was caught.
"You wanna know what we do here?", Sayori asked bubbly as ever. "May I have your names first?", the twintailed girl asked as she slowly walked towards the blushing and nervous mess of glasses.
"Club president, Monika", the white haired girl sighed with a smile. "I'm Sayori!", bouncing as always said the peach haired girl.
"Natsuki", simply said the pink girl. "I'm Yuri, pleased to meet you", the purple girl said with a graceful reverence.
"I'm Erika Yamashita", Erika, now face to face with Omiko, casually grabbed a strand of her green hair and ran it between her fingers. "Nice hair", the twintailed girl said smiling seductively at the red faced glasses girl who was unable to speak.
"May I have your name too?", Erika spoke softly, letting go of Omiko's hair to then simply run the fingertip of her index finger tenderly across her cheek. "O-Omiko I-Imai", the madly blushing glasses girl stuttered like hell.
"Veeeery pleasured to meet you, Omiko~", Erika smirked sexily, licking her lips before turning around and walk towards Monika again. "Where do I sign?", Erika simply asked clapping her hands together with a happy smile.
"Come with me", Monika giggled, both then heading to the teachers desk to proceed with the paperwork, followed by the excited bubbly girl.
"Anything you want to say?", Natsuki grinned as she stood next to Omiko placing a hand on her shoulder. "I will forever be in your debt, Natsuki-senpai!", Omiko turned to her and dedicated Natsuki a great reverence.
Natsuki crossed arms and smiled proud.
"5 more to go", Natsuki showed her hand to Yuri, grinning and flashing her canines at her. Yuri simply smiled sweetly, showing her delicate hand at her too.
Natsuki's heart skipped a beat.
