Katherine's POV

Was I dreaming right this instant because it felt like I was. I heard a very unusual question, one I thought I would never ever hear. I looked at Liam and examined him carefully to see if this was one of his tricks, he looked really serious in fact he had never looked so serious in his entire life. Do you think he really wants to be friends with me?. I recalled our childhood days and the hurtful things he made sure to say to me everyday just to make me feel so downcast. No, there was no way he was serious right now, I won't fall for it, not again.

"No way, do you think you'll actually succeed this time around, liam?"

"Katherine I'm serious, I really want us to be friends, you know just put the past behind us now, we're adults and heading off to college, since we'll be seeing each other everyday in school, I suggest we try to get along"

Wait, what!!

"What exactly do you mean by seeing each other in school?"

"Oh, you didn't know?"

"Know what?"

"I don't think its in my place to tell you kat"

'It's Katherine, and you know what?, just stay away from me Liam, I've had enough of your pranks, like you said, we're adults so try to act like one" I stormed off immediately, I was so furious that I could throw off an elephant to release the anger.

Well I can't, just so you know

I walked carefully towards my mum and dad, as I was about to call them up on the situation I suddenly felt hand grab my arms gently, electricity coursed through my skin as I felt goosebumps appear slowly. I turned around and realized that it was Liam, why did he make me feel that way, his hands felt so manly and warm that I wanted to enclose my arms around his body to feel more of that warmth. I got ahold of myself and tried to yank my arms out of his hands but he seemed so insistent on holding me because he didn't let go. He grabbed me gently and pulled me towards the entrance of the hall.

"What do you think you're doing Katherine?"

"I should be asking you that, let go of me"

"Why?, you want to confront your parents in this hall, right now?, you want to have a fit?"

"A fit?, I'm not a lunatic okay besides what is it to you, they're not your parents"

"No but they're clearly having a good time".

My eyes paraded through the hall until I found them being occupied with themselves. I hardly see them this way probably because they never really have the time for each other and here I was trying to spoil the moment. I felt so bad, so down that I didn't even complain when Liam pulled me close to him. In fact I think a part of me wanted it.

"Katherine," he said softly so close to my ear.

"I know I haven't been your favourite person and I'm probably the last person you want to talk to right now but i need you to know that I want us to try to be friends okay?, think about it, looks like the party will soon be over".

I looked around and saw couples obviously saying goodbye to Mr and Mrs Roden, Michael was nowhere to be found.

"I'll leave you to your decision, your parents are looking for you" he then leaned so close to my ear that if he moved an inch , his lips would land on my cheeks.

"Bye Katherine"

He left reluctantly and I hate to say this but I wanted him to stay. I walked towards mum and dad, we prepared to leave, we greeted everyone but I was feeling disappointed when I didn't see mike , he's like my really good friend and should be here right now. As we left the party, I couldn't help but think about what Liam said, should I really try to be friends with him?, that'll have to be a question for another day.

I did confront my parents about the fact that they just decided to make up their minds and enroll me in the college they think is right for me. At first I was mad that I didn't get to make that decision but then who cares, as long as I don't have to travel out, I'm totally cool with it and I just found out that Mike, Mia, Santa will be there and let's not forget Liam. This will surely be a college to remember.

I packed up my belongings in preparation for school, the driver came and took it all away, I knew this was the time for tears, mum wouldn't let me go that easily.

"Sweetie"

"Oh mum, hi"

"I can't believe you're leaving for college, I'll miss you so much" she replied shakily. I knew that she had already started crying as I walked carefully towards her and hugged her.

"Mum, I'm just leaving for college okay, besides I'll come home to visit you guys sometimes"

"Please do"

I said my goodbyes to both mum and dad and headed straight for college. Once we arrived, I got settled in a private room, apparently my parents didn't want me to feel uncomfortable so they provided a special hostel for me.

Well, technically, its not only for me, its a room available for three people. The normal availability was for six but dad has his connections. Mia and Santa were the other two in my room so in other words, everything was already set, I headed downstairs towards the registration arena to register for my classes when I heard a rather loud commotion coming from a particular place.

I walked hurriedly towards there which was already surrounded by people. I wondered what was going on, I looked closely and what I saw completely took me by surprise.
