Liam's POV

Kat and I weren't exactly on good terms right now, I just couldn't contain my anger when I saw her with Mike at the party. I admit it that I was really jealous because I know she would never want to confide in me or even want to be close to me, she'd rather be with Mike but I intend to change that. That crazy dude dared me to kiss a girl around here, it was something that I wouldn't even have to think twice about because I already knew who I wanted. I stared intently at kat as I got closer to her. Mike stood up abruptly but even he can't stop what I intended to do. I got closer to her as I stared into her eyes, those eyes which got me hooked all the time, the ones which I couldn't stop looking at, as I got lost in them.

I really wanted to do it but those eyes of hers showed me something that made me stop, she was scared and it was not what I wanted. I never wanted kat to be scared of me, of what I might do to her, so I settled here mind down by placing a peck on her soft cheek. It was really hard for me to let go but I had to.

"Oh come on dude, what was that?" The boy asked as I returned to my seat.

"What?, you said to kiss a girl, but you didn't say where"

"Clever, really clever"

"Do you think I want this handsome face to end up with a black eye, besides I think if I did it, I'd end up with more than a black eye" I said as I looked at kat who was clearly speechless.

Mike stood up abruptly and walked out. If he thinks he can stop me again, he'll have to think twice. What was really annoying was the fact that kat went after him. I obviously couldn't do anything about that.

Kat's POV

Liam most definitely took me by surprise, not that I was expecting more, okay I was but the fact is, I was really surprised. I went after Mike after seeing that he wasn't himself.

"Mike!!!, hey hold up!!" I shoved people past me as I chased after him.

After I caught up with him, his expression scared me because he looked like he wanted to punch something.

"Mike, what's wrong, talk to me"

I held his arm then he suddenly brushed me off of him.

"Mike?"

"How could you do that Kat?!!!!"

"What did I do?"

"Why did you let him kiss you?, huh!!!, why?!!!!!"

His eyes looked at me dangerously, this didn't look like the Mike i knew, I was really considering going back and staying away from him but by the looks of things, he wasn't about to let me go.

"It was clear that he did it all on his own besides I don't have to explain anything to you, you were there all along"

"Yes!!! But you should have done something, like push him away, anything!!! But you chose to let him be!!!"

"What is wrong with you?"

He paused a bit, I expected him to come back to his senses but that wasn't the case.

"Oh, now you think something is wrong with me. Get out of here Kat"

"But.."

"Leave!!, I really don't wanna hurt you so just go!!!"

I ran away as fast as I could, I had never seen Mike like that before. What kind of a party was this, that allowed me to see a different side of my friends. I wanted to just get out as quickly as I could. As I went back into the party, I went straight towards Mia and Santa, both of which looked pretty drunk.

"Guys I need to leave, I think I've had enough for one night"

Even in their drunk state, they knew that once I've made up my mind about something, I had to do it.

"Don't worry, I'll drive"

"No, let me"

"Liam, I don't need your help"

"Kat, you can argue all you want but its dark"

He came closer and whispered.

"Don't think I don't know about your eye condition"

How did he know about that, only mum and dad knew because I decided to avoid glasses by wearing contacts.

"So are you coming or what?" He said blankly.

As we were all in the car, I couldn't help but think about the recent events.

'Leave, I really don't wanna hurt you so just go'

What exactly did he mean by hurt me.

Physically or emotionally?. Its just so confusing.

"Care to share?"

"What?"

"What were you thinking about?"

"Liam, just because I let you doesn't mean that I automatically have to talk to you"

Everywhere suddenly went quiet except for the snoring coming from those two girls at the back.

"What were you and Mike talking about?"

"Its..."

"I know it's none of my business, but...you just looked um...upset, I mean...not that I care or anything"

I felt the need to ask him if something was wrong with Mike but I couldn't, I just couldn't. All I wanted right was just to rest, everything felt so weird.

"Its nothing"

"Fine I hope you don't mind me switching on the radio"

"Seriously its night"

"That didn't stop the party from happening"

"Fine but if anything happens to it, I'll kill you"

"Looking forward to it"

He turned on the radio which was blasting 'lips are moving' by Meghan trainor. I love her songs because they are always lively. It always lifts my mood, I was humming to the song when..

"Do you still sing in the shower?"

"What!!, how in the world did you know about that"

Okay, I always tried my possible best to keep my voice down while singing in the bathroom. I guess I'm not very confident in that area.

"Oh come on, did you really think I wouldn't know?"

"But how?"

"I'm surprised you're asking me that, you were always there at my house to visit my parents"

Well this is surprising

"Oh I just didn't think you noticed"

"Why not?"

"Are you seriously asking me that?"

He paused a bit before answering

"Yeah maybe I shouldn't have, Kat I don't wanna push you to do anything you don't want to but I'd really appreciate it if you gave me another chance, let's just start all over okay?"

"If it were that easy for me, don't you think I would have done that a long time ago?"

"I know you're hurt.."

"No I don't think you do because its not that easy for me. I can't trust you, you put me down Liam, made me feel self conscious, like I just wasn't good enough and you made sure to tell me that everyday. The worst part was the fact that I actually listened to you, I was so naive then, I've grown far from that and I won't let you or anyone else make me feel like that again"

I didn't realize we had already reached.

"I think you need to leave Liam, thanks but I can handle the rest"

He remained seated for a while before he got down and went directly by my side, he opened my car door and brought me out roughly but gently.

"Let go, let go of me!!!"

"No Kat, we need to settle this, I know I hurt you, I was a jerk!!"

"Was?"

"What do I need to do?, please tell me, I just want us to get past this"

He came closer

"Please Kat, I'll do anything, just tell me"

"Its night Liam, we'll talk about this tomorrow"

"Why do you keep on avoiding this?, i'm not leaving until we settle this"

"You're being ridiculous"

"Maybe I am, but we're going to stop this right here and now"
