SHAWN'S POV

There is nothing worse than waking up to a severe headache early in the morning.

Getting my lazy ass outta the bed I shared with Sean seeing him snoring hard, I made my way to the cabinet. There sure would be an aspirin there. I thought.

Taking the pills, I took my seat at  the bed's edge calming myself down. Then, memories of yesterday's event hit me like a thunderbolt.

"What the hell". I screamed making the snoring twit to jolt awake.

"What crawled up your ass this early morning dude". He questioned staring at me lazily.

"It's none of your business". I scoffed turning away from him.

Laughing at my outburst, he made his way towards me.

"Are you worried the love of your life is about to be snatched away from you". He said smirking hard.

Fuming with absolute anger, I punched him right in the face.

"What the fuck bro, now you have proceeded in breaking my nose, do you really have to leash your anger on me, just calm your freaking nerves down before you do something worse than this in front of Yna".

Just the mention of her name brought solace to my soul. Moving towards Sean, I proceeded to put things right.

"Am really sorry bro, I just got up with an headache and you irritating me with your words added salt to the wound". I said getting the first aid kit.

"I understand your pain bro, but you look like you wanna bury someone six feet under the ground, would you mind sharing your point of view". He asked. 

Sighing deeply, I cleaned his bloody nose and added a plaster on it.

"Look, it is confusing, but how dare that idiot try his advances on Yna, can't he see she isn't even intrested in his jagoon. It infuriates me too see him utter flirty statements towards her. It took me every ounce of me not to punch the daylight outta him and  get him in coma for years".

"And why didn't you do just that"?. He asked cocking his one brow.

"It's just that I didn't want to protray myself violent in front of Yna and I don't want her to see me as a bad person".

"Ohhh and you say you aren't in love with her". He said with this his signature smile plastered on his face.

" I don't". I scoffed.

Laughing at me, he stood heading towards the bathroom.

"Keep fooling yourself bro, I won't argue with you but you would see for yourself when the time is right and don't forget I would be glad to have your Lamborghini ". He said reminding me of the bet we made.

" We would see about that dude". I shouted behind him.

Just then the intercom buzzed with the bubbly voice of Mel stating breakfast is ready.

Having skipped dinner yesternite, I hurried Sean out of the bathroom and made my way into the shower.

I need to patch things up with Yna today, I need to clear up my confusions, I know I said I would make her mine but I want to know that thing pushing me to say those words.

"Good morning guys, please have your sit while we wait for the girls and Jake to make their arrival". Mel said smiling as we made our way towards her.

Kissing her by the cheek, we mumbled a good morning and took our seat.

"Did you guys have a good nite rest?". Ben asked folding his hands.

"Sure, indeed I wish to live here all my life ". Shawn said making us laugh.

"I agree with Sean here, you see, you have such a beautiful home and am highly impressed ". I said making the couple smile at me.

"Oh well dear, you haven't seen anything yet, today you guys would visit the ranch and have a look at the horses". Ben said holding his wife's hand resting on the table.

"But we are here at the ranch right?". I asked him looking at Mel.

"Shawn, of course you are at the ranch, it is just that this is our own house, we have a massive building just walking steps from here where the horses and the main ranch are situated".  She answered smiling at my astonished face.

"You people are so wealthy,so you mean the ranch isn't even here". I asked still in awe.

"Yes" Both answered still smiling.

Just then, we heard footsteps from the staircase. Looking up I saw Yna with no other person than that asshole talking wholeheartedly and she is laughing at whatever he is saying. Then, Summer trailing behind them focused on her cellphone.

I believe at that moment, my temperature had risen extremely high because I can feel myself burning with fury.

I think Sean noticed my uneasiness as he held me as I was about to stand up. He knew what I was about to do.

"Would you just use your senses, you wanna punch him right in front of his parents, are you crazy bro?". He whispered annoyingly.

"Good morning Aunt Mel, Uncle Ben". Summer greeted hugging both couple.

The asshole still has his arms around her shoulder.

I tried to convince myself that am not affected by their little actions but I just can't.

Clearing my throat, I decided to call everyone's attention to breakfast.

He still got the nerve to pull out a chair for her. But, why all of a sudden Yna has this closeness to him for as far as I remember. They were cat and dog yesterday, so why the sudden friendship.

"Hey dumbo, what the hell happened to your nose?". Summer questioned Sean but  eyeing me.

And why on earth is she looking at me that way.

"Ohh... this.... It.. It.. Is nothing. Humm just hit my nose on the door by mistake, you know when you were expecting your head to be bumped but it got your nose, how funny is that?". He said laughing making everyone give him this are you for real look.

Sean is so terrible at lying.

"Whatever, please let's eat, am starving already". Summer announced.

"Alright then, enough of the chit  chat there Jake ". His mom cautioned looking frantically between him and Yna.

"Come on mom, I just can't get to know my friend more". He whined.

Taking a look at Yna, I saw her staring at me with worry but it vanished immediately I looked deep into her eyes.

Tearing eye contact, I focused on the bacon and egg placed in front of me. Just looking at it, I remembered my mom's cooking. I miss her already. I would call her later. I thought. I have to deal with this at the moment.

"I sincerely have to appreciate your hospitality towards us, Mel and Ben". Yna broke the silence since we all started to eat.

"Oh dear, it is a pleasure, you are family now, so please don't thank us for anything. We are the ones to say thank you". Mel said holding Yna's hand.

She just smiled back at her.

'Oh and Yna, Sum. We had a discussion with Sean and Shawn here about visiting the ranch today, you get to see the horses and every other thing". Ben chipped in.

"And your attires would be sent to your room shortly". He continued.

" Attires". Sean questioned.

I was confused as well.

"Oh what I meant was the clothes you are all putting on isn't the appropriate for horse riding".  Ben explained.

"So you meant we would be given cowboy wears". Yna asked smiling vibrantly.

"Yes dear".  Mel replied.

"That's cool, right bro?". Sean asked nudging me by the elbow.

"Sure". I replied still munching my food.

'That is wonderful, am excited to see the horses". She said grinning from ear to ear.

She looks cute when she does that.

"And beautiful, do you know how to ride a horse". That twat asked her brushing a strand of hair from her face.

My fork dropped instantly making all eyes turned towards me.

I have had enough of this

"Excuse me, I need to call someone". I immediately said folding my hands into my pocket.

"Shawn, what is wrong, you look all pissed off, are you sure you are alright?". Mel asked looking at me with worry marring her face.

Turning to face her with a forced smile, I assured her I was okay but just needed to call someone urgently.

Moving towards the stairs, I dared not look towards Sean's direction, I knew he is fuming at my unreasonable thinking.

"Oh come on guys, we shouldn't just let this delicious meal put to waste if all we now do is concerned about someone who isn't worth it, right Yna?". That deranged asshole said making heads turn towards my direction.

"Stop it Jake, would you?". Yna muttered silently looking at me worriedly.

Controlling my temper, I death glared at him then went in the direction of the rooms.

"Jake, what was all that about, huh". I heard his father question as I entered my room.

I punched the wall immediately I made my way to the bed side.

"It is today I get to know how dumb you are, dude. What the hell did you just do there, you made it obvious you are jealous Shawn, you finally succeeded in making a fool outta yourself, at least you should have shown your jealousy with maturity but you just had to showcase the level of your stupidity ". Sean said as he stood in front of me blazing with anger.

"What the fuck are you saying, huh, that I watch while that nuisance touch her, I should be the one doing that Sean. I should be the one to hold her hands and not that piece of garbage, I swear, I don't care any longer if he is Summer's cousin or if he is this is his home, the next time he trys to make me feel this way,he would regret ever touching her the way he did". I said looking at him to find him smiling.

See I have a stupid friend, one minute he was blazing and now he is smiling like the idiot he is.

"And what the hell is making you smile am being furious and all you do is smile huh, keep it up dude". I said shoving him aside.

Clapping his hands and still smiling.

"Wow, just freaking admit it bro, you love her, you just cleared up your confusions, gosh aren't you clearing things yourself? ".

" What do you mean? ". I asked looking lost.

"Alright, you don't want anyone near her, you got all flared up when Jake flirts with her or touches her, you don't want me to even touch or hold her,you got hurt when you saw her being carefree with Jake, you get possessive of her, you defend her everytime she is in trouble, you are willing to be suspended in school just to save her from possible humiliation, you once said she makes you feel complete, you look at her as if she is the only girl in the whole, you get so lost when you look into her eyes, you adore her so much, it all written over your face bro, aren't I right huh, tell me". He finally said making me dawn in realization.

"You are right bro, you are right, I love her, I love Yna, you know so much Sean about my feelings for her. Thanks a lot for making me realize this ". I said hugging him smiling tight.

"Oh well then you should tell her or you aren't planning on doing so, you might be too late you know, Jake is.. ". I cut him off at the mention of the so called asshole.

"I would tell her, just chill, you don't know how happy I am at this realization". I said smiling.

Then the intercom buzzed stating the attires are being brought up to the room.

"Wow, you look like a country farmer in that ". I jested glancing at Sean's clothing.

"Is that what you would say to your gee who helped you learn to love, Lamborghini here I come ". He replied singing the last part.

Shit, I forgot about the bet.

"Do you really think I forgot about getting your freaking  car for a month, how cool is that ". He said smirking.

"The nerve of you to call my car names, that car is worth more than your life dude". I retorted sharply.

"Oh then, we shall see, I would make a mess outta the car ". He said still smirking.

"You dare not bro".I said glaring at him.

Phone rings

"Excuse me, I gotta pick this call". Sean said referring to his phone.

"Be quick about that ". I said.

I started to smile just taking a look at Yna's picture on my phone, yeah I used her as my wallpaper. She doesn't know tho. I took the picture secretly that day at the cafeteria before the worst happened.

Just remembering that day still reminds me of how silly I acted, I deserve the slap tho but I have to apologize before making any move on her and plan B. I need to get rid of Jakey mud or whatever his name is.

"Earth to Shawn". I was interrupted seeing hand flicker right in front of me.

"And what on earth are you thinking of?". He asked raising a brow.

"Just how lucky I am ". I replied smiling.

"I get it bro, but we really need to get going, the group are waiting downstairs ". He said reminding me of our visit to the main ranch.

Nodding my head, I told him alright.

As we were passing through the unending rooms leading to the backyard where Sean stated they are waiting for us.

"How silly of me". Sean lamented immediately we got to a certain door with this scent of grasses accompanying the air.

"What is that supposed to mean? ". I asked him confused.

"I guess you would have to wait for me here, I actually forgot to pick up the camera intented for us to take pictures on getting to the ranch, I would just go get it in  the room then come back to meet you here ". He said smiling at me.

"It is alright, you can go but please do quick, I would just wait here". I said to him.

"You can actually wait for me over there and maybe pack some grasses for the horses and when I come I would join you, then we go meet them outside ". He said pointing to the door staring right at me.

"Alright dude, be quick ". I said hurrying him to go get it.

As he left, I opened the door leading to the room then entered leaving the door open but it was closed forcefully immediately I made my way inside,then I heard someone scream for help.

I actually thought it was my illusion thinking someone scream but I heard the voice again screaming for help. Straining my ears, well I wasn't scared, I have been in a worst situation than a door being closed on me.

Moving towards where the voice came from, it sounded again, then I knew it is a female's and then it sounded again making me gulp in anticipation, it sounds like her but how come she is here when Sean said they are waiting at the backyard.

"She isn't the one". I tried convincing myself.

Going further into the unending room, I spotted a figure by the closed window with a dark curtain draped over. Looking closely, I focused on the figure and I was thrown into utter shock.

"Yna". I called out. 

Am deeply sorry for the late update, my sim card got misplaced but thank God I found it.

Am excited at what is to come. Yna's POV is next. Am so excited for it. What do you guys think is going on?.

Am not gonna give hints, you guys should guess what would occur next and don't forget to hit that tiny baby star below 😂.
